I found, quite by accident, that Pam olive oil spray works really well on my stainless steel refrigerator that was smudgy all the time. Not so much anymore!
Oh my God thank you so much I recently purchased a whirlpool stainless stove which I am in love with but is so frustrating trying to get it clean and the streak out I can’t wait to try out these hack
This video has come at the perfect time! So easy and make sense once someone else says it lol Thank you for the help. I am going to do some cleaning tonight! ❤️

Plus not really a safe product for humans...Sad they can get away with selling us crap but until people stop being it and start researching what they think is safe these companies shall get away with robbing us and making us ill.
Stainless Steel is anything but- I hate it! But good tips on keeping that evil stuff clean. As soon as I can afford to, I'm replacing all mine with that new matte black finish.
I've always cleaned appliances with soap and water without knowing weather it was the right thing to do or not. To me not using soap and water was kind of not showering ever. I didn't feel using an appliance cleaner was enough. Now I will incorporate the oil because it never looked great. I just knew it was clean.
Finally my refrigerator is nice and shiny again! That huge streak is finally gone! Thank you! :) What about Vaseline? (petrolum jelly) would that work instead of using my precious oils?
Thank you. I have stainless/ black stove and it always looks dirty because of the streaky stainless part. I will try the oil. I usually, after cleaning it, use glass cleaner. It looks good right after. But the streaks come back. Even tried stainless cleaners and same results.
I'm going to try it with Mrs. Meyers or Method detergent. I don't like Dawn dish detergent because they still test on animals. But otherwise thank you for the ideas and I like also the idea of coconut oil.
Yes, I quickly learned that stainless steel is anything but stainless. It needs care. One of the worst things to drip onto stainless and leave it there unnoticed are tomato products. Wipe up immediately!! But I LOVE my stainless appliance. Would go back to enamel for anything!
DW40 is great stuff. It can be used for million different things. I have a friend who used it to get rid of old stains on her carpet, apparently it worked really well.
@@SherrilynnGrayer.prettyeyes I clean the stainless steel first with my dish rag, just to get the crud off and make sure it’s dry. Then spray a little WD-40 on a microfiber cloth and rub it into the grain. Maybe it’s me but I consider cooking oils a food and I just can’t rub food on my appliances. Lol.
I use mineral oil, gives a better result than any other oil I've tried. When oiling, though, use a minimal amount and buff with the grain after, with a new cloth.
I've used Lemon Pledge on my SS Fridge. After first cleaning off all the gunk & fingerprints, the Lemon Pledge works great for giving a slick-looking appearance but must be used sparingly. Any excess should be wiped off with another clean soft cotton cloth. The Pledge should be sprayed on a cloth over a sink and not directly on the appliance because whatever lands on the floor will leave a very slippery spot that needs to be cleaned off with rubbing alcohol.
I have one of those expensive trashcans by Simple Human. Not even a few months into using it and its extremely rusty looking. This may be because of the humidity in the bathroom but how do I get these rust stains off?
I have used Langostina stainless steel cleaner for mine and it worked. I also used some leftover hair conditioner to condition it afterwards but anything with oil will help.
I also stayed away from stainless steel appliances because I didn't need another job! I have the smudge-proof finish on my refrigerator and dishwasher but had to replace the dishwasher and they didn't have that finish! So I am stuck with stainless and it has been a pain ever since I got it. :-( I am so happy to learn that I was partly doing it right, with dish soap but now I will also wipe it down with oil!
Can you let me know what ingredients you use to get rid of steak .has I got some on lift .has I been using stain steel but donst get rid of it it make it streaky .but if this work I need to know what you use can you tell me what ingredients you use .mine friend at work just use window cleaner .I might use window cleaner but hope it get rid of it ?
I was taught to never use any oil we cook with on cutting boards, stainless steel, etc. because they can become rancid over time. My go-to is mineral oil.
Thanks for the tips. Quick question..I have these drips on my fridge that almost look like the stainless steel was bleached it just looks like a drip and I cannot get rid of it with anything so far
I agree - it is sooooo high maintenance; it's ridiculous. I feel it doesn't look that great most of the time. I got top of the line Kitchen Aid and GE Profile and it doesn't matter. I wish I had not gotten stainless appliances.

Thanks Chaz. ❤You have such a beautiful home!
Please do not use shaving cream, such a mess I made and then had to use stainless Steele cleaner to clean it off.
Plus not really a safe product for humans...Sad they can get away with selling us crap but until people stop being it and start researching what they think is safe these companies shall get away with robbing us and making us ill.
You should have watched the entire video to see that shaving cream was her least favorite product…
Thanks very much, for the tips! Can I use canola oil?
Stainless Steel is anything but- I hate it! But good tips on keeping that evil stuff clean. As soon as I can afford to, I'm replacing all mine with that new matte black finish.
you do not have to wait long, These days appliances usually only last 6 years .
Thank you! Excellent video
Baking soda is an old but awesome product. I use it also in my ovem with vinegar.
Really helpful, thanks. ❤
Great. Thanks!
How often is this process necessary to keep t things looking nice?

Yay! Glad we could help. Sure - give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Do you mean you would NOT go back to enamel or that you prefer enamel over stainless??? Your last statement is very confusing.
Is your kitchen a staged kitchen or is it really yours? I wish I could have cleared counter stops!
Bravo! I am a male. Now if I only can get my S.O. to do all the stainless steel cleaning. Any tips?
Try DW40
Little smelly,but works very well
WD40?
DW40 is great stuff. It can be used for million different things. I have a friend who used it to get rid of old stains on her carpet, apparently it worked really well.
I use WD40, I’ve used it in my kitchen for years.
How do you do that process

i wonder if you can use a mineral oil? like you would for a carbon or stainless knife
Interesting thought!

You can use baby oil, food oils leave a sticky film.

Thanks... I hate the film my Stainless steel stove and refrigerator gets. Especially the stove from cooking.
I was just thinking about this earlier. Yea!!!
I was taught to never use any oil we cook with on cutting boards, stainless steel, etc. because they can become rancid over time. My go-to is mineral oil.
baby oil is the best
Don’t ever spray onto electric panels. Dampen the cloth to clean, then dry immediately.
