Biblical, systematic tithes weren't gifts, nor were they submitted as money. They were compulsory submissions of consumable items specifically purposed for the Levitical theocracy, the poor, and for the festivals. The ceremonial and civil ordinances under Mosaic Law that facilitated systematic tithing are now obsolete (Hebrews 8:13).

Tithes were given to Levites. Under the new covenant we are all Priests and therefore we don't tithe but revieve from the storehouse. Heb 7v12 says when the priesthood is changed, the law will be changed as well. It's simply wrong to teach new testament Christians to tithe. Tithes were farm produce and only farmers tithed. Today the Jews don't tithe as the temple was destroyed so they have no storehouse

False teaching. You can’t serve two masters. Tithe was never money. It was only for levites and had a purpose. It’s high time people study bible themselves and understand the truth.

The relationship between God and his people under the new covenant is that of father and children.
Which father will expect 10 percent of his children's income every month?
Jesus mentions about tithes only once in mathews gospel while addressing pharisees who were under the old covenant.
In the old covenant the relationship between God and his people were that of a king and his subjects and God Himself was ruling them through prophets and judges. Tithes was then like income tax from His people which was required for the maintenance of levites and for the destitutes, orphans and widows who used to shelter in the temple those days.
If tithes was so important then, why didn't Jesus, Paul or other apostles talk about it even once to the nt believers?
The nt teaching is give your offerings cheerfilly ..It is not about how much but how we give.
In the case of Melchizedek and Abraham,
Abraham did not pay from his regular earnings but out of the exploits from a war which he won that too only once.
So if somebody wants to tithe, surely he can give but only cheerfilly. That is purely
a commitment between him and God. But pastors insisting on tithes from the believers and threataning them with dire consequences from God quoting some old Testament scriptures is not correct.

Giving to a church is not really giving to God

If you are not from the levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, and you are using the levitical priesthood law of God to receive tithes and offerings from jews or gentiles, you are robbing the churches of their money. Jesus said, woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater damnation [ Matthew 23:14 ].
The church is supposed to withstand the pastor to the face, and say to him, you cannot receive the tithes and offerings from jews or gentiles, because you are not from the levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, and if the pastor neglects to hear the church, Jesus said, let him be unto you as a heathen man and a publican [ Matthew 18:17 ].
If the church doesn't want to correct the pastor from his error, the church is not walking in the truth of the gospel. When Paul saw that Peter was not walking in the truth of the gospel, Paul withstood Peter to the face in Antioch, and corrected Peter of his error, because Peter was to be blamed for causing brethren to go astray [ Galatians 2:11-21 ].
The tithers need to take their tithes and offerings to Jerusalem, and give them to the levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, because God ordained the levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, to receive the tithes and offerings from the children of Israel, according to the law [ Hebrews 7:5 ].
The tithers can never be justified by the law in the sight of God, because the just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith.
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. For it is written, cursed is everyone that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but,The man that do them shall live in them [ Galatians 3:10-12 ].
If the pastor is poor, you can give to him freely for doing the work of the Lord. If the brethren are poor, you can give to them freely. If your neighbor is poor, you can give to them freely. Jesus said, freely you have received, freely give [ Matthew 10:8 ]. It is more blessed to give than to receive [ Acts 20:35 ]. For God loves a cheerful giver [ 2 Corinthians 9:7 ].
    In Jesus name.

If u don't like the pastor, they may not like u. What a disgusting statement. And u want their money? Don't u think there may be a very good reason why they don't approve of a pastor? Firstly if they don't they shouldn't go.
