  • Doing some work to my new Raptor. I'm thinking about doing the exhaust next once I'm done with the engine break in. Let me know what you think in the comments. I hope you enjoy the video!

    For anyone removing decals from body work, it is best to gently warm the stickers up before you attempt to peel away from the body, this also helps to remove as much glue as possible, once removed you should use solvent based degreaser which should wipe off any excess glue that still remains, this cuts out the need for scraping the glue off. Once glue is removed use a fine polishing compound to gently polish the area back up.

    In addition to the big 3 mods, upgrade to a stage 2 cam. Another option instead of putting a power commander or anything of the sort is to flash the ECU. I still have my '07 I bought new, and the thing is still a ripper.

    Looks okay , we all do things differently, I’d ditch the 10,000 lumens out front and go with some nerf bars with heel guards , a proper fci intake , exhaust and a programmer before a graphics kit. Ride hard brother !

    If you remove the airbox lid and the baffle that is in the muffler they restrict the air but if you do this it will give you more power especially if you had a fuel controller you already got a nice air filter you just need the other two for the big three and remove your air box lid.

    • @BetterDays
      @BetterDays  2 роки тому

      It was pretty easy actually. If you look up "nilight wiring harness" on Amazon they have pre wired setups with the battery terminals, switch, fuses, etc. already connected for you. All you have to do is mount the switch and connect the terminals to the batteries and lights, then zip tie the wires out of the way and you're good to go :) I'm no expert myself and I've done it a few times now no problem.

    Love the lights but never wired them up myself. How hard is it and where did you run it?

    • @BetterDays
      @BetterDays  2 роки тому

      It wasn't difficult at all. Most of the time was spent zip tying the wires in place. If you get a pre-made wiring harness for them all you have to do is connect to the battery, mount the switch, and then each light has a positive and negative wire to plug in. For my lights they didn't have the connector installed yet so I had to crimp those on but that took me maybe 5-10 minutes

    • @cmich3748
      @cmich3748 2 роки тому

      What did you mount the bracket to the bar with? Also, are they wired to a switch?

    • @BetterDays
      @BetterDays  2 роки тому

      I drilled holes and used sheet metal screws. The lights came with the curved metal bracket. There's a few options for Nilights but that seemed to be the best option. There's probably better ways to do it but that worked well enough for me. Just make sure you use large enough screws if you do it this way because the smaller ones I used initially ended up breaking a few while trail riding. I swapped them all for the thickest ones that would fit the bracket holes and haven't had a problem since.
      And yes the wiring harness came with a switch built in. Just had to drill a hole in the body to mount it.
