I was born in 1973 I remember very clearly being 11 and 12 years old to go in the mouth of the Winooski River where it feeds into lake Champlain in between Colchester and Burlington and sitting on the old railroad trestle back then they had actually blown the tracks and let him set in the water in the old concrete was still there and you could sit up 20 ft above the river there and look down and on a nice day you'd see all the smallmouth beds up along with the river channel would start to ease up into the shore and then it would start to shallow out had no idea growing up how much of a phenomenal fishery this lake was I say was because they're slowly killing it and it's a shame you ask anybody that's been swimming in this water up here for the last 40 years it's turned into a toilet bowl hopefully it doesn't affect the fishery. If any of you guys with these fancy boats want to take an old school 5th generation Vermont are out fishing I'd love to get on one of these fancy Corvette boats you got my lord is to go out to the causeway with a rowboat. bro you wouldnt believe what i catch right where you launched your boat, that Chazy river runs for miles of great fishing. awesome video and hope to see you guys back around here soon. also ive been fishing this lake a while now and really i stick with jigging soft plastic craws with 3/16 ounce head or just a normal jig and trailer. really produces for me here specifically and i used to not like flipping jigs and texas rigs, this lake has made me love it. also dont sleep on Plattsburgh bay, all tournaments are held and released out of plattsburgh!
