Ah, this takes me back to when I was 9 years old. I remember watching Simon as a judge when I was growing up. I remember watching Simon being as honest and as truthful as possible. Yes, sometimes, he could be brutally honest and a bit harsh at times, but, he never patronised anyone and never gave anyone false hope. Honesty, sitting at the desk in the auditions thinking "hmmm, really?" whenever anyone would try and argue back with him and taking insults really well, were one of the best things about him. These days, since having a son, I have to say, he's really softened and mellowed and also comes across as even nicer than before. Maybe, that's what he needed all along-to become a father.

Daniel Drason This is a personality type it has been my misfortune to know. I don't see Simon like that but as a realist. You see some of the auditions where we all cringe and the reason they think they can sing is invariably their parents told them they could. IMO better to keep it real.

Ah, this takes me back to when I was 9 years old. I remember watching Simon as a judge when I was growing up. I remember watching Simon being as honest and as truthful as possible. Yes, sometimes, he could be brutally honest and a bit harsh at times, but, he never patronised anyone and never gave anyone false hope. Honesty, sitting at the desk in the auditions thinking "hmmm, really?" whenever anyone would try and argue back with him and taking insults really well, were one of the best things about him. These days, since having a son, I have to say, he's really softened and mellowed and also comes across as even nicer than before. Maybe, that's what he needed all along-to become a father.
