the great thing about your video is No lame music.
Lol... thanks but I have plenty of videos with all kinds of silly music.
Jason, thank you for taking the time to show me (us) how the deck lid pins work when removing/installing the deck lid.
Much appreciated. 👍👍
No problem Mike, glad you liked the video brother!
Thanks for the step by step instructions, including your “balancing act.” 👍🏼
Lol... you like that!! Thanks for the comment brother glad you liked the video!
Really appreciate you and your videos brother! My car is a ‘57 beetle sunroof so it’s fun to be a part of your journey 👍🏻🤘🏻
Love sharing the fun brother!! Glad your enjoying the channel 😀
Thanks for the break down on parts, next spring need to install this system on my son bug when we install big bore motor in with with set of 40 DRLA Dellorto's
That should be a nice build I like the DRLAs!!
Nice work. I dig the fuel gauge. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the Comment Jamie... yup I love the fuel pressure gauge it turned out great!
Nice work! Binge watching to catch up!
Sweet!!! Thanks Terry!
Happy New Year. Nice clean install.
Thanks brother it turned out pretty darn good!!
Your car is awesome. Love it👍
Thanks Tim!! I love her, she is a doll!
Happy New Year. Glad to see the gauge being installed and it working so well. We know what pressure the fuel pump puts out but what is the optimal pressure for carbs. I run my pressure at around 1.5 psi. Great vid and Happy New Year.
Yup it turned out really good... I dropped the PSI down to 3.5 this is the recommended PSI for Weber IDFs.
Awesome vid! What about the 24 hour wait for your Loctite to cure??? Just kidding... I know it’s not an issue at 4 psi. Nice job!
Lol... right... who's waiting 24hrs anyway??
thanks bro im ordering all this stuff now.
I love my fuel pressure gauge, it turned out great!
Great job I'm learning, thanks!!!
Sweet!! Glad your liking the videos Domingo!!
been married 3 times. be happy your single. I make good money but my 3 that never did make money always gave me hell for buying vw parts but she kept yelling I kept buying and it works out when you learn to zen it out. now I have a kickass 61 double cab cb performance motor all disk and happy. all done from your videos. great stuff keep em coming. by the way I did the same set up but my gauge is at 0. but it runs good. did you adjust yours
Well being single does make it easier to get VW parts that's 4 sure... but I've always had the mindset if I make the money I can spend it on what I want... lol. Very cool the 61, that's awesome!! Never had to adjust my gauge maybe yours is toast. Glad your enjoying the channel... lot's more to come.... 👍😎👍
It sounds so good !
Thanks brother!! It took awhile to get her dialed in. She runs so good now, but I'm always listening because those carbs love to be adjusted...lol
@@JWClassicVW lol i hear that.. Im hoping by the end of the year to be on dual carbs too 😁
@@VWRICH23 Sweet!! They are a love hate relationship for sure! Lol
I had a bad experience with a regulator before. It was one of those chrome ones and of coarse when it was 25 years old ====== I smelled Gas===== I was lucky to have a piece of aluminium 5/16 tube in the back and just by-passed it. Now i have a Mr.Gasket mini pump that only has 3.5 lbs. when it ruptured it dumped a 1/2 gallon of gas before I got pulled over. So I sat there for a hour to let it dry up?
Yeah Jimmy those chrome regulators are totally crap brother! This regulator is pretty legit and is recommended by a # of builders. Thanks for the comment!!
Hey I just thought I'd let you know at the beginning of your video there is that wire that connects your license plate light should try your best to hide that that's how you get your car stolen happened to me
That would work if I didn't have a kill switch, GPS tracking, and my deck lid is always locked... but your right gotta watch those tricky bastards out there.
Hey Jason any reason you went with 6AN instead of 4AN for your fuel lines, just curious? Love the vidieos
From my research it was the correct sizing for my upgrade plan and also a bit easier to find the correct fitting at the right price.
Question....why didn’t you use the stock fuel pump? , seen people use it instead of electrical . Thanks
Hey hey, great question with a bunch of answers with the main being that there is no way the stock fuel pump would feed my dual 44idfs they way I drive wide open. The next big reason is I changed out to -6AN fittings throughout my engine area not just for looks but also for safety and easy of use. Then there is my 3rd reason of wanting to vent my block at that location. Hope this helps, thanks for the question.
@@JWClassicVW I run a 1914 with 40 iDfs, they seem to do alright I guess, so, the bigger the carb, the more fuel delivery needed I take. Thanks
Good video from 64vw of nj
Thanks brother!! Glad you liked it!!
Hey Jason, curious if you have any issues with vapor lock?
Nope... none at all
Try injection type in your nice engines
Great suggestion!
I hear you have a wireless mike. Good.
Yes yes... my 2nd one. The 1st one I bought was not so great. This new one is 10x better.
@@JWClassicVW Now we can hear your shoes squeak on the concrete. And your keys rattle. Hahahahahaha!
@@jdmeaux lol... true true brother, it works great!!
What cam are you running?
Hey thanks for the comment... it's an Eagle 2288.
@@JWClassicVW That must be a popular cam. I've read a lot about it.
This was soooo helpful! I have a polar silver '56 as well with, and i swear it looked like my car backing into the garage! Only difference is I have an old CB EFI kit on mine. For installing the gauge, can you install that anywhere along your fuel lines, or only at a particular point? I also have this FPR, if that helps: www.cbperformance.com/product-p/7160.htm.
Glad it helped! Yes you can put the gauge anywhere along the line but with the fuel pressure gauge your going to want the gauge after it.
LOL my quick release deck lid is much easier to remove and never hits body...same method used however
Love the quick release pins... They are an inexpensive upgrade that really comes in handy.
And I have my pins lanyard to deck lid,so they are always where I can get to them and never lose them
