As a Sunderland supporter this has strong meaning. From the doldrums of a record low 15 points in one Premier League season with Mick McCarthy through all the various managers who have tried and failed like Steve Bruce, Roy Keane, Martin O'Neill, Paolo Di Canio and Gus Poyet who was the closest to success taking us to a League Cup Final and now we have David Moyes who will hopefully lift us up and lead us on to better things.
I've been depressed for quite a few years now n can't seem to get out of it at all :( but I knew I'd never be the same person ever again after having my still born little boy I just can't quite learn to deal with it proper it's been 13 year and I'm just going worse as each year passes by still feels like yesterday x
My sister lost her son/my nephew still born about 13 years ago too. She had to speak to people as her partner couldn't cope. You have to talk to your doc, if that won't work try the Samaritans; that'll be a start.

After constantly going to my doctor because of a urine leaking and for them to say everything is fine, with bloods and water sample, I got diagnosed with prostate and bladder cancer, (none curable)
I'm 33 with 2 young children and no hope in live as my life expectancy is way way below average, I listen to this song every morning just to show my young boys that daddy can smile, daddy can still dream, daddy can still rise,
But inside I'm dying and can't show them daddy is hurting,

Have had the privilege of seeing this woman three times in concert; the last one being in December 2016, and I have to say she's just as amazing live as she is on record. Truly amazing and such a down to earth woman as well. She seems to only do small venues and honestly I prefer it that way, so intimate and really makes everyone get up and sing. There is always an amazing atmosphere at her concerts! Nostalgia

In real life, this is the first time that I could finally listen to this song since my mum passed in November 2022. I will admit that losing a parent is never an easy journey, and I am trying so hard to navigate a world and a life without my mum in it now. I could always listen to the song when my mum was alive, but it has a meaning because I will rise again and make my mum proud, I am taking each day at a regular pace and I have the most amazing people in my life - both personal and professional relationships are helping me to heal though the hole in my heart will never fully heal because my mum is no longer here in person. The song is so beautiful and I am thankful that I can listen to it now and realize that I will rise again it's just going to take time and I can't rush that at all.
