"art isn't finished, it's abandoned". Wow, the more I think about it the more fascinating this becomes because that's exactly the way I make art too. Absolutely unique video by the way, I needed that a lot.
thanks so much for the compliment! Yeah, its something I think about a lot haha. Art is never standing still. Constantly reconfiguring to the moment. Or maybe we're just reconfiguring and in doing so the work takes on new meaning. 🤓
Well you were right, I did quite enjoy this. Kinda sad I couldn't have somehow known about your little destruction project cause I think it would have been cool to be a part of something like that but ah well. Either way, it was quite a clever little project, though I'm sure having to send out 80+ unique prints all around the country (world?) wasn't the most thrilling kind of work lol. I kinda wonder what pictures went where and how they were destroyed. Idk what exactly could be done with that info but I almost feel like there's something interesting to be found in that. Maybe just a map of them or something, idk. It's really not important but I find the idea interesting nonetheless.
Glad you enjoyed it! I do have all that data. While I don’t intend to map out where everyone lived it was INTL. lol. The actual video piece does show you how each print was destroyed though. It’s a great watch, but I’m biased lol. I didn’t map out location so much as I tried to give prints that felt like a match to the proposed kind of destruction.
