I have a question for you Sir regarding your long experience on dv lottery what do you think for somebody who has a small case number(2023AF 24**) submit Ds-260 on August 1st, 2023 and still doesn’t get a chance for interview’s schedule . Is better for him to transfer his interview to American Embassy at Abu Dhabi or waits to get scheduled at American Embassy in Casablanca Morocco I appreciate you help

Hello Brit Simon, first of all, thank you for your great information. It helps me a lot. I’m a DV2023 selectee from Tehran Iran. My related embassy is Ankara-Turkey. My case No. is between AS10,000 to 11,000. I heard a lot of bad news about Ankara embassy to delay in inviting the current cases and is not working well. Consider to current cases of Iran at 5500 up to now and delay in Ankara, Should I worry about Ankara embassy?
Are you recommending me to change my embassy from Ankara to another embassy like Yerevan or Abu Dhabi? Do you recommend another embassy instead of these?
Would you please help me to make a good decision. I am so nerves and under family pressure to make a good move.

This information is very good in the first 2months of a fiscal year, when a big number of cases is current such good information like this we're left to only watch but left with no choice but patience.

Will AVQ in the Embassy on the basis of the DS260 processed date or the basis of the Case Number?
I have watched the entire video and applied to cairo embassy and concluded that it did well in 2023 throughout the entire year regarding Egypt CNs and but was slow for AF numbers. Did I interpret the data correctly?
Well no, I believe there was a significant backlog in Cairo, which should not have happened at all if they were giving the proper capacity to DV interviews.
Then I completely misunderstood the data. Is there anything to be done if there is no other country to establish residency in to not lose the chance? Could you also explain how to interpret the data again in future lives? Would be great if you used Cairo as example. Thank you!@@BritSimon

Are cases in the AV queue scheduled according to CN range or according to how long a case has been in the queue?
According to the position when added to the AV queue - which depends on processing and case number.
@@BritSimon in embassy for example Kenya, which untill yesterday had only interviewed cases below cnAF9k, does it mean;
1.all the ds260s processed are put in a queue even those above cn9k in the order of ds 260 processing date?
2. If I submitted my ds260 in June 12, unlocked October 4 last year. My CN 147** was processed in February. Will my cn help in the AV QUEUE since they they haven't reached my case
Hello Brit. I am the winner of the dv2024 Cuba. I have an appointment in October and it turns out that when I went to do the medical check-up they told me to have a sputum test, which takes approximately 54 days and affects my interview date, since the results will be beyond the date scheduled for my appointment at the embassy. I wanted to know what procedure I should follow to reschedule my appointment and if this is possible with the diversity visa. Namastey Simon, I need your geniune suggestion.I got my 2NL and interview is on 10th March but today I got to know my sponsor who is currently a USA citizenship actually flew to USA from Malaysia in refugee visa as a dependent from his wife family side.Does it affect in my case,if it’s then can I change my sponsor before interview?
Can I do this if I am waiting to a visa appointment for EB-3 program. My Embassy in Pristina, Kosovo is shit. Yet the embassy in Skopje, Macedonia ( where Kosovars used to get tourist visas and such prior to the one in Pristina being built) is working flawlessly.

That is perfectly fine - but first you have to get selected.

Hi Simon, is there a way to know the number of cases before you in a particular country. For example, Ghana had over 3300 selectees and my case number is DV23 AF18***. Is there a way to know the number of selectee cases before me in Ghana
Not exactly, because KCC won't tell you the size of the queue at your embassy.
You can however have a very very rough sense of the possible MAXIMUM cases in front of you(using the VB bulletin cutoff point and when you entered the embassy queue).
This is a combination of using xarthisius's site to determine cases in front you, the number of cases in your country(NOT number of selectees), the VB cutoff point.
This depends on a lot of assumption: eg. that the embassy only interviews cases from your country, all cases from your country are interviewed at your embassy, everyone below the VB cutoff submitted their ds260 and got processed before you etc.
Hi Simon, my case is current which 18*** AS region Afghanistan and i have submitted my DS260 on 30 may and i have emailed to KCC about my case status and the said records indicated that you have submitted complete and valid ds 260 still did not get 2NL and it shows that its at NVC any idea ?

Hi, Brit greetings my wife is the main DV lottery winner from Nepal and our interview is on April 10th she worked for 2 yrs in Kuwait and currently residing in Nepal for 6 months. Now the problem is she doesn't have Kuwait PCC and the Kuwait government doesn't issue Kuwait PCC who don't stay in Kuwait. So what's the best solution for this? If we don't show Kuwait PCC in the interview will there be a problem or does our visa get rejected?

Dear Simon, thanks a lot for your kindly explanation. Do you think that the Ankara Embassy is working like last year, because since the beginning of the F2023 they scheduled nearly 475 cases in total. Is it not better then last year? Please could you express your own opinion about this?
I did mention that. We don't know how good or bad that 475 is, compared to the demand/need - but clearly they have thus far shown they are working on a point in the AV queue some months behind. So there is a backlog - we just don't know how large.

No. That is purely based on the case numbers selected.

Hi Simon, when you talk about being able to move to another country "if you are not yet in AV" do you go into AV typically as soon as your case number becomes current? For example if the March VB had my case number going current in April, would I typically go into AV as soon as that bulletin is released, or not until April? Or sometime in between? Is there a way to tell if you are in AV by checking your visa status on the CEAC website? Or are you in AV only once your 2NL is sent? Lastly, I am DV2023OC21XX I currently live in Auckland but could move to London or Dublin. Currently all 3 consulate's appear to have no backlog but I know that could change by the time my case is current. Based on previous years track record what consulate do you think would be my best bet?

Please do I have the chance of being scheduled for interview from Accra, Ghana. I submitted my DS260 on May 20th and my case number is 42k, when I emailed KCC to know the status my case I was told it has been processed and that they can't unlocked my case because it ready to be scheduled for interview at the Embassy. However, I am afraid I may loss my chance because of the backlog at the Accra Embassy. Please, help me, what should I do now?
If US embassy in Accra continues at the same pace they are now, I fear for you but they may speed up and take more cases which may help you.
You can also take some risk if you have money and travel to an African country which is doing well and email KCC with the visa stamp in your passport to prove that you've relocated to the country. There's no guarantee in this, who knows, it may bring something positive!

Most interview notices are 6 to 8 weeks ahead of the interview.
