I always love these kinds of videos, though they do make me feel like I need to make all the dresses!! I really appreciate hearing the reality of what these are like to wear, which is pretty different from when we first make them up. I may need to give some of these another look!

Thank you Andrea, I watched this blog and saw the Spring dress pattern that you recommend and I bought it. It’s beautiful I have made one each for my daughters and two for myself it’s a lovely pattern to sew, THANK YOU ❤

I’m on my way to joining you on sewing some designs over and over. And over, again. I was never that type of sewer before. I was always sort of seduced by new designs every time I saw them. But, I have to make more fit adjustments than ever, and it puts me off sewing up a new garment, and what good is that? I miss the days when I could just pick out a pattern, and with very minimal adjustments it would just fit. So, my current goal is to build a core set of patterns that I can turn to, whenever the desire or need to sew arises, and I know they will fit perfectly. ❤️

They all look so gorgeous on you, Andrea! I haven't tried any of these patterns, but watching this video has sparked an idea for a mashup I can make of patterns I already own, so thanks for the inspiration! 😊 Mustard/ochre is a difficult colour to wear if you have fair skin and blonde hair - rich jewel colours work best, like that amazing royal blue 😍 Have a smashing day!

Thanks for this lovely vlog! I am in the process of trying to make a dress from the fantastic "Autumn leaf" linen viscose fabric that I bought from your lovely shop. It's a mash up of the SOI Kitty dress skirt and SOI Lulu dress bodice. I do the same thing regarding using a pattern many times, every new version being a different take on a pattern. I love how the A0 pattern print outs from your shop comes on luxorious, thick paper, impossible to cut into, will have to start tracing...😄🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛❤️

Ooh your SOI mashup sounds fabulous. What a great idea . I definitely like to get value from my patterns and never tire of making the same/similar dress over and over . They all look so different in the end!

Lovely dresses Andrea! When I have a color that does not agree with me, I try adding some coloful jewelry or scarf and usually that fixes the overall colouring and makes the outfit much better. I think if you wear the beige dress with a some hot pink or turquoise earrings, or necklace, your opinion might change and you will be able to wear it happily. Just a suggestion!

If you didn't have so many dresses already, I would feel bad that you need to give one away but... ☺️. I will say that my Mom didn't like wearing black (as she got older) and used a white Dickie to offset the color next to her face which worked great. Or a cardigan or jacket/blazer worked as well. You might try that with the mustard colored dress... It's beautiful on you by the way but I know what you mean. I love yellow but it doesn't like me. 😉 So glad your shoulder is almost better!😍. Please take care wielding those bolts of fabrics. Although I bet you've got a good muscle now 💪☺️. As always I really enjoyed the video; your mashup is my favorite too! See you next time! 🌄💐💖🌹

Enjoyed seeing all your dresses Andrea! The Fringe dress is still my personal favorite after being inspired by yours! I do agree about the Myosotis skirt having too much fabric and the fit is not good on me. I am planning on unpicking the skirt and sizing down quite a bit. I may even do your Fringe skirt hack 😉😃 I still have to make the Spring Dress😊

I love your dresses especially the Valerie dress that you have on the manikin and the Deer and Doe t-shirt dress. Also, thanks for talking about the smaller sizes issue. What a really fascinating vlog. Love all your dresses, simply stunning. I have made the Davenport, Fringe and just finished the Myosotis. Really like the Davenport but would be interested in making it sleeveless for the summer. My Fringe dress was my first dress I made and was a bit of a disaster- fabric colour not good and bodice was not quite right, now I know why. I have just finished the Myosotis and I love the idea of combining the skirt of the Fringe. You have given me so many useful tips Andrea. Thank you.

Have just found your channel Andrea and really love this helpful video! Am sold on the Valerie dress - 2 questions: like you, I always have to do a narrow shoulder adjustment and I would have thought that the raglan sleeve style would still require that but you find not? Does the sleeve head not droop off your shoulder point?. Also, I just don’t wear above the knee dresses - but the skirt shape suggests to me that extending the length to below knee would look great too. What do you think? Many thanks, Moira

Hi Andrea I love the Spring dress to but agree feels like should have bust darts at the bottom but I guess it wouldn't go over your head then. How did you attach the ties to the front of your Spring dress. Did you just sew them onto the front of the bodice when the darts would be? Hope that makes sense am quite new to sewing 😊

I just love hearing my friends across the big pond talk! Your accent is music to my ears. I am a Southerner (US). Are you familiar with that accent? When my husband and I visited Russia a few years back, we learned that Russians get the Southern accent confused with accents in the UK, which is funny to me, but now I do sometimes hear a few similarities here and there!
