How To Make Surprise Rainbow Butterfly Bath Bombs

- Spring is here! Learn how to make this adorable butterfly bath bomb has colorful butterflies & surprise embed colors! This isn’t a quick bath bomb to make, but it's worth it! The butterflies are adorable & the foam is absolutely stunning! You can get really creative with this one!
This is a 4-part video. Butterflies, embeds (interior mix), exterior mix, & assembly.
*Butterflies: 1/2 cup (125 grams) baking soda, 1/4 cup (50 grams) citric acid, 1/8 cup (15 grams) corn starch + 5 milliliters fragrance oil, 7.5 milliliters polysorbate 80. Dry 24 hours.
*Embeds: 1 cup (250 grams) baking soda, 1/2 cup (100 grams) citric acid, 1/4 cup (30 grams) corn starch + 7.5 milliliters fragrance oil, 5 milliliters polysorbate 80, & 2.5 milliliters cocamidopropyl betaine. Dry 4 - 24 hours.
*Exterior (white) Mix: 2 cups (500 grams) baking soda, 1 cup (200 grams) citric acid, 1/2 cup (60 grams) corn starch. 1/2 tablespoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate + 15 milliliters fragrance oil, 5 milliliters polysorbate 80, 10 milliliters surfactant (I used coco glucoside).
ASSEMBLY: It’s normal for the butterflies to crack down the middle, esp. the bigger ones. This is fine as the 2 halves stay in place. It’s easier to mold embeds if you break them in half (or just mold half embed bombs). TIP: I wish I’d only put 1 butterfly, maybe 2 at the most. RESULTS: This bath bomb was really fun. It started spewing rainbow foam about 20 seconds in. The embed surpassed all of my expectations by a long shot. I used 4 bombs yesterday & each bomb had completely different color patterns. Don’t forget to write down which bombs have which embeds. This can be very useful if you’re trying to duplicate specific results!!! Thanks for watching!!! HAPPY BUTTERFLY BATH BOMB-MAKING!!!

Lmao! The thing that saved this project was the rainbow foam! I can’t tell you how many times I couldn’t post something bc the project was a complete dud! We all have those! Keep trying! Thanks 4 watching!

This was just amazing to watch!
Awe thanks sweetie!
Love all of your videos!!!!!
Thanks love!
Beautiful
Thanks so much.
Absolutely gorgeous. You are an amazing artist Dora. Thank you for all that you give us. Hugs!
Thanks so much! The music didn't bother you? Most of my videos have been copyright claimed & I have to cover it up with UA-cam music. I feel sooo bad about this!
@@CreativeBathLab absolutely not. It was perfect. I have a question, I have friends that are pregnant or breastfeeding. They will VERY much enjoy pampering themselves with bath bombs and all. I honestly don’t know what to advice so they don’t use these products for now. If these
Products and/or with some ingredients adjustments could be made so these population could use them, would you consider making a video addressing this? I am sure I am not the only one with these kind of friends! It will be awesome. I could not find anything in the internet. Thanks a bunch Dora. Much appreciated
Think for all Lora ❤
Thank you so much👍💐
😊
Amazon needs to give you a section for you to put all the ingredients in one cart so I can just order everything in one. Like a do it yourself kit
Really? I did not know that! WOW, that's scary convenient! I'm somewhat of a shopaholic so that'd be super scary to have! lol
New Sub.i been binge watching your videos. OMG, you are amazing with your bath treats. When i tell you i spend so much money a month on, bath bomb, body scrubs, body bath butters, and much more. It's amazing to see how these bath treats are made that i buy. To me yours is made with love, passion and on a professional level. I would go all out my way n say, what i seen so for from watching your videos, you definitely out doing some of the most popular major company like, LUSH, NECTAR, and many more. NECTAR is my go to for bath treats and i can honestly say, from my observation of your bath treats, i would put you neck n neck with their bath treats including above LUSH. I'm from NOLA and i hope one day i can experience and buy your bath treats. Please open up a shop, your are an inspiration and much needed here in LOUISIANA. The bath treats i order monthly from NECTAR is from Las Vegas, it would be nice to order from our LOUISIANA NATIVE. Anyway keep teaching showing your VIEWERS how to be CRAFTY in making their on BATH TREATS. Stay bless.
Awe! It’s so nice when I talk to a fellow Louisianan like myself! lol speaking lush, that’s the one who sparked this passion of mine! I’ll definitely be looking into Nectar for inspiration next. I don’t sell any of my products. The ones I make on tutorials are given away. Maybe in the future I’ll get a little factory or something & start making & selling. But thank you so very much for the kind words of encouragement & inspiration! I appreciate you!!!!
Love it
I love these is that lil plunger from Amazon,???
Yes, it should be linked!
Hi your work is amazing wanted to know you have mentioned 1 C what does C stands for is it a cup?
Yep. Read description!
This is such a great tutorial! I just found you and will be watching all your videos. I feel a binge coming on. I have a question - How do you keep your bombs from making a horrible ring in the tub. So far, all the bombs I've made from kits leave a tub ring that is difficult to remove. I'd love to make one that doesn't do that. Thank you!
Thanks so much. Having a binge-worthy channel is an amazing feeling. Hope I live up to the name! lol there’s a few things that can cause the ring: not using an emulsifier like POLYSORBATE 80, adding too many oils, or just adding too much powder color or mica in general.
absolutely stunning..your creativity.. thinking outside the box is amazing! With the time it took to do all this what would you charge per bomb?
Thanks so much! Great question! & this is why I don’t sell anything. I made my cousin bubble scoops 1 time & charged her 3 each… I made about 20 cents an hour! Lol for these I’d charge like 6$, but because I’m such a perfectionist- it just wouldn’t be worth it to make them to sell them…. I’d actually end up probably losing money! Lol
@@CreativeBathLab your right! I gave up on many bombs I use to make for that reason took too much time to pain them and theres no way I am going to make a profit if I do. So, back to more simplistic product making.. efficiancy..
That's awesome I wonder why u don't have more views you deserve thousands of views 😍❤️
Thank you so much!! Maybe one day!
@@CreativeBathLab yes I am sure ❤️😍
😊
What happens if you don’t have the Coco glucoside? Can you substitute it with something else? Thank you
You don’t have to put coco GLUCOSIDE. You can use any other surfactant, if you want! I’ll link some tutorials Tom for u that explains this!
Watch this one boo, for sure!!! ua-cam.com/video/2GTCIlLTecA/v-deo.html
I have a question why in the first part you put coco betaine and not Slsa?
What can I replace the Polysorbate 80 with ? Thank u
polysorbate 20 or hydrogenated castor oil, peg 40
Thank you for your help you are amazingly awesome at this😘🥰👌👌✋👍👍🤜💓💞💕❤🧡💛💚💙💜🖤💟👑💎
What is the thing you make the butterflies with called?
a spring stamp or something - its linked in description
Can I use 95% Ethanol for painting? 🤗
im not sure ive never used ethanol
@@CreativeBathLab Okay, thanks for ur answer!
Isn't this technique you are using with the color embeds patten by lush? So small businesses wouldn't be able to sell their bath bombs with this technique?
Not at all
Bonjours par quoi peut on remplacer le polysorbate 80 s’il vous plaît merci
I’m working on a video
