All the spillways on the Mississippi River are fish magnets and worth fishing.

You are right about that. The wingdam bite for gills gets better into the fall.

I am thinking i will try to downsize my line for extra sensitivity and use my lightest of equipment and I think I will learn alot....Also maybe an old small diameter fiberglass rod might be interesting...They all cast differently I tried a bunch of rods for casting non-weighted plastic worms. large like 8" they don't wanna fly thru the air but the fish can't resist them. I would tell anyone (including myself) hit some garage sales for a differing array of rods and try different rigs. it will def. improve your casting and your rigging quickly. Then you may or may not jump up to super expensives (ceiling fans and screen doors eat mine the best).
@@tylanway5450 great thoughts! Downsizing line can definitely improve the amount of bites! There of course is the downside of breaking off but you have to find that balance! There are a lot of great rods out there and it comes down to personal preference. Fishing with any rod is better than no fishing at all!
I hoped you kept some of those fish for the future Catfishing video you were possibly foreshadowing or teasing me with... /cough/... When you said finding bluegills isn't always as easy as you may think, It made me feel better as a fisherman 😂 Good video i learned from it.
