Hi Francis, Funny .... I was talking the other day to another senior about Ted Peck and his TV show from the early 60's. It was a show my family watched regularly. I have remembered Ted's famous show ending comments all these years... "Tight Lines and Straight Shooting". Thanks for posting.
I remember another outdoor/hunting/fishing show in the mid maybe late 60s called Outdoors Unlimited. It was produced out of CFCN Calgary. I believe the hosts name was Keith McCool.
You're in for a surprise... I've also been gifted all his surviving footage by his family. Beautifully shot footage. I will be uploading them in the fall.
Hey there! I've got a box of old film reels... they might be 16 mm films like these? They're home video and a couple are marked "Jasper trip", before I sent them to recycling (or to the dump?) I thought I'd check with you.
Back in the early 60's us kids would urge Mom to smoke her brains out with Sportsman so we could mail in the fly images of the empty packs to enter the draw at the end of each episode. On a side note my old Mom lived to the ripe old age of 93.
A real treasure! Please post all that you are able!
Man ... I used to love this series when I was a kid. "Tight Lines and Straight Shooting"!
There's more coming, stay tuned!
Such dramatic music! Yes, please do post more episodes
Remember him well. Sort of a local legend in his day....
Fantastic early startup of search and rescue in British Columbia.

Thank you so much for doing this… I remember this show fondly. Ted Peck and his ‘Sportsman’s’
