This was a really good video! Well made and it was fun to watch your process and get to share in this with you. Whether or not you get further on Wicked, I hope you'll continue making videos!
I just went through the same thing with curly hair headshots! I've really cut back on straightening my hair for auditions and have been loving it (it's also nice to not have it half straight/half curly after sweating in a dance call lol)
This is why I never had the drive to try Broadway…….. my Male “Twin” did….and did WELL. His name was Merwin Foard. I lost him 4 years ago…… he was in the movie “The Standbys”……. Love you Mer……
Scientist here 👩🔬💕 About that lipstick…our bodies are VERY good at keeping our bodies’ pH within a very specific range (7.35 - 7.45), no matter what you put into, or on, your body. So, unless that lipstick is more sensitive than 99% of laboratory pH meters (and it’s not), then it’s not changing colors based on pH (more likely temperature, humidity, or other environmental factors). If your actual pH drifted enough to change the color of a lipstick, you would be dead (but your lipstick would be 🔥🤷♀️😂). It doesn’t matter, though. If you like your lipstick, that’s totally cool! I just thought I would pass on some nerdy science facts, because that’s my jam 😉 Fingers and toes crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞 Hope you book it 💚💖
Is it The Telsey Office who you auditioned for?, if so, they are great, also wondering in case you get in and I hope you do, that means you have to be driving to the train station for 40 min. and then wait an hour in the train to NYC like every day there is a show?.
I just found out they are holding a new audition. After researching, it feels like they hold auditions quite a lot... They are asking for singers who know how to move, they dont mention anything else, i wonder if there are different auditions. I am a theater student, i do struggle with learning dancing steps, and i have to go home and practice. Im wondering if the upcoming audition is about the same as yours. Did you sing?? I want go and im scared lol
@@danubiavilar5192 I went to a dancer specific call but this upcoming open call if wanting singers who move so it’s less dancing! I say go for the sudition experience and it’ll help you know what you did well and might want to work on!
Thank you!! And singing auditions you go into the room one at a time and have about 1-2 minutes in the room! They’re much quicker and you usually only singing one song unless the specify something else
Oh wow, you live like 2 hours away from NY? That’s quite the commute! How will you do that when you’re in a show there? Stay in hotels overnight or are there trains going home late at night?
I want to hopefully do acting someday but I can’t yet because I’m only in highschool and there’s not a lot of opportunities for me. But out of curiosity, how long does it usually take for you to figure out if you got the role?
That’s awesome! And it really depends. For regional theatres usually within a couple weeks. For Broadway you might not get a callback for months even a year or so.
Really great video! I was just wondering how to get prepared for this industry. I love musicals very much but I have no experience in singing and acting, and I'm 19 currently, so is it too late for me to start from the very beginning?
Thank you so much! And omg no I’m always in the camp that it’s never too late to start! I would focus on building your dancing and singing skills and if there’s local theatres around you, start auditioning to gain practice!
I saw an audition for a union job but I’m not in the union. Can I still attend? Would they ever actually cast someone non-union or would I be wasting my time?
hi there! you can still go but there is a chance they won't see non union members. trust me I've been there! If you can, I always think it's good to go just to see if you'll have the chance to be seen :)

yes! I might still go home occasionally but would definitely move back to the city because that commute home after a performance would be awful every night 😂
Yes please show a combo! Would love to see the Wicked one! 🙏🏼 ❤
Hoping I can find some studio space!
Yes please 😊
@@eliselm___ about to watch the new video 😊
@@sssophie9292 ah yay can’t wait!!
Just uploaded a video doing the combo :)
Why would anyone come for you for loving Wicked, it’s amazing!
Hahaha it really is! But it’s a common favorite amongst non musical theatre people and sometimes people don’t get the hype but I do lol
For sure I would love to see you doing the combo!
Hoping I can find some studio space before I forget it! 😂
Finally found some time and just added the video :)
I love the treat idea after an audition!! going to be using that one from now on.
It’s a life saver! Treats always haha
Wicked is my fav Musical as well ^^, I hope you'll get the role, wish you all the best and thank you for this video, it was fun to watch ✨

Yes we would love to see the combos!
Hopefully I can find a place to film them!
Omg I love wicked! It has also been my dream for a bit to be in it. I hope you book the part please tell us how it goes!🧙♀️💚

I love Wicked I've only seen it once but after next month I will have seen it 3 times lol
It’s the best! I could see it every week and be happy 😂
Now I am invested. Good luck. Hope you book it. I think I have probably seen Wicked more than you have and that is saying a lot as a straight male. 😂😂

Going to my first open call for the show next Friday.
@@geoffreycope1219 yay good luck!
Has the same dance combo been used at all of the Wicked auditions you have been to?
Yes! Sometimes they’ll do a longer version but each time I’ve gone it’s been the same thing
