- The Hu is a throat singing, heavy metal band form Mongolia. They stopped by Rockefeller Center to perform a couple songs from their new album 'The Gereg' (*Filmed vertically for IGTV)
"sorry I was late for work"
"what's your excuse this time?"
"Mongols on the tube"
"you're fired"
"Hu me? Hold my Wolf Totem"
Hahahaha made me spit my drink
HU EVER YOU ARE TAKE ALL MY LIKES!
You can't fire me I'm Doctor Hu.
Best response here! 😂😅😆
Hu are you to make that decision?
On the whole, one of the nicest, most polite Hun invasions ever. These guys are classical musicians in Mongolia, well known for supporting their old culture. It's great to see them being so appreciated outside of Mongolia.
Huns were turkic-mongols nomadic tribes, with mixed Mongolian and Caucasoid features. In their migrations they incoporated Iranic (Western Asia) and Germanic (Europe) tribes, and partly mingled with sedentary populations in Europe, Western Asia and Northern China... and with other nomadic people who arrived later.
@@albin0kr0we50 the Huns are mongoloid ... The roman historian describe them as like the mongols 1000 years later.
Sandra Nelson
No doubt!!
@@asianooasia6719 There was no way of telling a Turk from a Mongol before Genghis Khan. It hardly matters anyways. Their cultures were not really indistinguishable at the time.
Hey, good is good - it doesn't matter where you're from. And they are good!
Imagine walking down there to find them playing live. I wouldn't care where I was going, and nothing else that happened that day would matter.
@ŇøHă Ģ. That kid would have the most kick-ass welcome into the world ever!
I would have gotten fired for not closing a huge deal.
The music of a thousand Mongols steamrolling the plains and cities of New York.
Josh Kendrick I'm 69 and these people kick some serious ass!!!
I'd cross the third rail to get on their platform!
OMG. If only . . .
@ŇøHă Ģ. lol!
Tfw your late for work in Chinatown but then the Hu are performing in the subway which means that there probably isn’t anymore Chinatown
Mongoliatown
It's still China Town, only under Yuan rule.
Wignat Fedposter gotta love the Khergits
We still have southern mongolia so all good
Chinatown has now been renamed Yuantown
You'll soon hear about some venetian guy going there too
Oh man, the acoustics in that tunnel would make their music sound even more amazing.
Right I just wish the guy recording was back 5 or 6 more feet
and good place to echo the throat sing
Its the same as the studio version, these guys are legends
The power of having skill in making good music.
Paras Kaith thats my biggest pet peev when bands make a really good studio version and then when they play it live it sounds different or they have to use digital sounds to replace instruments
That's genuine talent, consistent with no editing required.
No electronics. No mics. No amplifiers. They still kick ass. That's amazing.
Such a great song in any setting. My five and three year olds always say “play the scary song where they sing with their throats!”
Lol, had to laugh. When my now adult daughter was 3 or 4 she used to ask me to play 3 little pigs by green jello. Check it out, your kids will love it if they like this
Do you have the album? Shoog shoog and great Genghis Khan are two my favs besides this and yuve yuve yu
@@maryfallon2474 lol I liked that song too when I was a kid
Also, the lead singer has some of the most badass looking boots I’ve ever seen.
sonora thank you so much.
He has a sheath for his flute.
Enough said.

HEADLINE: The Mongols have invaded America. America gladly surrenders.
Way to do it, guys.
I, for one, welcome my new Mongol overlords, and will gladly plant my wolf totem in my front yard.
@@johnrust592 ROFL you beat me to it, I was gona reply with this hahaha not sure if you are referencing the same Simpsons source for your inspiration but if so, hello fellow classic Simpsons fan. I also welcome our new Mongolian overlords. So, do we carve our own wolf totems or will one be provided :-)
@@Mikej1592 Hopefully one will be provided. I have no artistic ability whatsoever.
@@johnrust592 hehe same here
Same.
I have not been this excited about a band since the 90s.
what band in the 90s man? :)
@@xander1052 maybe pearl jam, stone temple pilots, nirvana, silverchair, soundgarden, blind melon, etc... Too many to choose from.
Should have included Temple of the Dog too.
@@jamie7713music peaked in the 90s
You should check out altan urag too. Khukh tolboton is a jam.
Imagine walking by the subway entrance and hearing these mongol battle shouts reverberating from below... Amazing
smokes with cats imagine being on a platform a station away and hearing this coming through the tunnel.
After listening to The HU,my moustache and goatee grew ,my car has turned into a warhorse, my laptop into a composite bow and my jacket into a lamellar armor.
indeed
This guys give such a strong energy. Imagine step out of the subway and you listen to this on your way to work. That day you get everything done
Imagine this band becoming a stadium level band and you remembering them performing in a subway for free
Testorone level 100%
...and that's only for vocal warm up.
urangoosetgel
Lol 💯
200%
It's over 9000
I grew a beard after this, women want me now, and I have a voice as deep as The Hu
I wonder why my mood jumped from "I'm curious" to "I wanna conquer"
I dont mind letting these guys raid my town
is that supposed to be something sexual? you're a weird girl
These guys are great!!! I’ve been a fan for a while ! Great to see them on here !
See Quinn dang
So proud of myself for getting my mom into their music
My dog was barking in time with the HU! They Know they are wolf!
Not to make someone hate me but. Just kindly correcting. Wolfs are often associated with turks or Romans because of old myths
@@vagarityga7100 stfu
@@vagarityga7100 wdym? Maybe they are, but they can also be associated with mongolia. Dont get what you're trying to 'correct' here.
Vagari Tyga As a nomad culture, Mongolian respects wolf. The spirit of wolf runs in a true mongol’s veins.
@@DrCeletials alright
Thanks for uploading this. From hearing this song on 9GAG to them touring European festivals and now a massive US tour and upcomming EU tour. I'm happy for them.
Their Schedule is truly insane
damn dude .. this is so intimidating, without microphone and still sound like thunder
Jaya is so energetic, i love it
That's the most metal acoustic performance I've seen
Busking in a subway station, freaking awesome. And everyone is right about the acoustics in there. You could probably hear that double harmonic for quite some distance.
I really hope they do this when they come to London! And I get a chance to see it!
Feb 12 get tickets now!
Ron Salazar already got mine 😊
@@BookSanctuary Got mine for Austin TX!
2023 the acoustics swallow certain characters of sound compared to open air. However, the essence is improvised to yet another level that these musicians attain with sheer peak and decorum.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Jaya: the coolest guy on earth😎
I love this band! I would love to come to South America, especially to Chile!
HU HU HU HU HU great job guys .. and great exposure for those Hu haven't heard of yall
My favorite song!
But on the subway? YES!
Great idea! I just wish I was there at the time to see and hear it in person.
Imagine just going down the subway steps and hearing this echo in your direction.
“Yeah, boss? I ain’t coming in today.”
“Why?!”
*”The Mongols are here.”*
My spirit is flying while listening to this. I forgot to got down of the bus. Now I have to walk far. I feel so high listening
I got my ticket for this October in Houston 😊😊😊

The Japanese pray for another hurricane
How come?

@@hwasiaqhan8923 the Mongol invasion of Japan was thwarted twice by hurricanes. The Mongols just gave it up.
The Japanese called those fortuitous cyclones the divine wind- the kami-kaze.
And the Vietnamese welcome them with open arms
Just discovered this band and I really appreciate the long-haired hot guy who seems to just do backup vocals and have free arms to do pump up gestures (he might do songwriting or something, as well). He’s extremely hot.
He actually plays the jaw harp, the flute and the tsuur too
When i was 18(i was in highschool in korea)and i always go school with this music(with earphone)and someday teacher took my earphone and listen this and then till i graduate no teacher bothered me.now i'm 19

epic, love this song, these guys nailed it, beat for beat just like their studio version with live vocals, they really are great musicians. I tend to not like many live performances because they go so far off the LP version but this was perfect.
Going to see them in November. I can't wait!!!!
The Hu are badass. Love em
they sound just as amazing in a subway.😍
Awesome!!
"These guys sound great; someone should sign them."
They are live and sound just as great as their video!

They sound good even in the subway.
That long hair guy's HU!!! was equal to the HU of the whole Mongol empire.
The difference between Hu and the European bands is this guys sing the same, without auto tune. End they are perfect. In metro tunnel field stadium the same pure energy
