I have the 2025 Jetta S. It comes with wireless Apple car play and Android Auto as well. No auto start, but that's not a big deal for me. The S trim has all of the safety features, auto dimming rearview mirror, and the rain-sensing wipers. The steering wheel is also real leather. For a base model...the Jetta S is a great car for a great price. I love driving it!
Great review, thank you! I love when you review cars that are more affordable. Thank you for all the great info as always and so wonderful that you're back online and posting again! 😊
The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta is an IIHS safety pick, receiving the following ratings: Side Impact: Good Rollover: 4 stars Frontal Crash: 4 stars NHTSA overall rating: 5.0
I have a 2021 Jetta r-line with 37K miles, so far only 3 issues with it. Had an O2 sensor go bad, a sensor at the fuel pump go bad and the eyeglass holder broke (a known issue with the 2019 - 2021 Jetta) all were fixed under warranty and other than those items no real issues with it.
Got me a new 2024 Jetta SEL for $25K. Worth the look if you want get a bit more amenities for the same price as a 2025 SE .... just a thought for you guys.
Great review! I have owned VW in the past. I watched another car review on UA-cam, and they were using one of your clips. I'm not sure if you are part of that (AI) channel, but I thought you might want to know. Happy holidays to you and your family. I am now driving a 2024 Chevy Equinox EV and would be interested in your take on it!!
I have a 2025 Jetta SEL and overall I really like the car. PROS: Premium looking dashboard, good acceleration, and amazing gas mileage. CONS: The backup camera quality is poor and the interior of the back doors feels cheap.
Not sure they would not just fix the back seat area 😂 Those back doors feel exactly like a Ford or Nissan. They are good for cost saving but I’m sure getting the same doors that are in the front wouldn’t be too much more expensive.
I have a 2020 SEL and I agree about the backup camera but it’s not so bad that you’re going to hit stuff. As for the back seat we very rarely have passengers so we don’t care. That extra space and the HUGE trunk give us tons of room to carry stuff so that’s a PRO you don’t mention.
Just traded 2019 SEL for 2025 SE. Crazy thing is that lots of the features that were on the SEL in 2019 are standard on this SE. Gave up the roof and the leather (neither a big deal to me) and MSRP was ~$500 less than it was 6 1/2 years ago.
What I fail to understand is that there's no USB ports nor air vents for the back passengers. I had a 2017 VW Jetta that had that and, since 2019, with the platform change, it lost it. And cheaper models get it; T-Cross not only has air vents but also got upgraded with two USB-C for the passengers in the back. Why VW ditched these QOL features?
I have a 2017 Golf S which I still love. The last year before it was neutered. I too love the ocean blue interior! If I was going to get a new car the Jetta is my top choice. I would prefer the base S model but the remote start would be a godsend in Wisconsin and wireless Apple play is mighty tempting. Thanks for their take.
1.5 ltr. turbo charged (diesel or petrol?) with 158 horse power at 1.44 it's very difficult to understand how many Nm your get from 158 horse power. I had to go back various times ist it only 184 Nm? I have a Fench car 4-Zyl. 2 ltr, turbo charged with 150 Horse power but 340 Nm. Never understood how to get more Nm out of HP? No manual shift in the USA? Here's a copy of the German catalogue: 1.5 TSI: 150 HP, 250 Nm, 6-speed-Schaltgetriebe (manual shift) or oder 7-speed DSG automatic. Is there actually a middle arm rest for the rear passengars? If so, I did not see it, because it wasn't presented. Anyhow: one last question: Aren't the spedometer and the rev/min. not alternatively available in analog presentation? I really don't like any changing colours and moving ciphers which gives me impression of figures on a pair of scales.
I like the VW Jetta! When I turned 16 in high school my parents bought me a brand new VW Jetta and I loved it!! However sadly it was NOT reliable!!! It had several issues within the first 2 years!! My parents and I traded it in for a Honda! I have to say that the Honda was WAY MORE RELIABLE!!! And to this day I still buy Honda vehicles.. BUT I LOVE MY JETTA.. But the issues with it were unfortunately turned me away from the VW brand… I am sure they have improved since mine!!! I like this review… Thank you
I like the VW styling. But, the reputation for poor reliability keeps me from buying a VW since I like to keep my autos past the manufacturer warranty.
Tesla Model 3 is going to destroy this amazing offering as yes indeed the Jetta Badge most definitely not "beloved" in the USA at all unlike say the Volkswagen Golf or the Passat. Zero dollars a Month for leasing a Fiat500e a warning to all those not seeing what US consumer expectations are for 2025 in automotive don't even get me started on motorcycles where they're still talking some Models at $40,000 that are internal combustion. For a *MOTORCYCLE.* Get a flying car for less than that right now. #we_dont_need_no_badges 😊😊

The best value... could justify the sport if you like all black interior. Got a 2023 S 6spd for my son to drive to college.

I have a 2019 Jetta S with a 6-speed manual. Love driving it and have had no issues. Don’t understand why so many disparage VW.
I have the same, and love it, but the dealership wants to buy it back from me...
0-60 in 7 sec is respectable. In perspective, that was very high performance for sports cars in the 70’s and 80’s….
The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta is an IIHS safety pick, receiving the following ratings:

These look great.....to lease!

No need to buy an over priced junk truck ..im getting a Jetta !

Awesome color combination, this would be my choice in the compact segment specially at 28k at the door and I know you can get it under MSRP
I got the monument blue one...I love and I got enough warranty to cover 10 years or 100 k lol
Jetta was my first car and still looks great!

I can't believe VW still is skimping on the backup cam 🤦♂️

Love this car but only the GLI now for the manual!!!
Nice looking car

how does the stereo sound compare though?
Basically audio a4 in different uniform.
It does not share any mechanical parts with the A4, nor the A3 for that matter.
$22k but even if you are paying cash the price is about $30k all included
You need to learn to say no in the finance office!
22k + tax is NOT 30K
We need this Jetta 2.0TSI GLI (2025) for Switzerland.

Is the insurance more on this car ?

I have a 2025 Jetta S, and Apple car play...as well as Android Auto is wireless in the S trim. It's a solid car, love it!
Wow I didn't know white was a new co
no mnual in any version/model?
Only the Jetta GLI

So nice #VW 🎉
Compared with Toyota Corolla
Looks good, but long term reliability is questionable for any vw
Exactly!
My 2003 VW is in perfect conditions, any other cars from that year, including brands like Toyota or Honda are in the junk
7:43 already burning oil from the turbine

It’s a red pony
Made in México ❤🇲🇽
Do yourself a favor and get an extended warranty
I like the VW styling. But, the reputation for poor reliability keeps me from buying a VW since I like to keep my autos past the manufacturer warranty.
I’ve had three Jettas and no major problems with any of them. Not sure that reputation is reliable. Take care of them and they last a long time.
Outdated small display
Lets talk about the plastic intake. And all the other shit Mexico built that wont last. Extended warranty is the only way you buy this car...
Or jettison it as soon as the warranty is gone.
An Audi my ass
GLI
exterior near perfect. interior is weak, compared to the k4
Reliability is very questionable....
Interior is gay.
LMAO!
As in twink, bear, otter, twunk, muscle? Please explain what kind of gay interior, I’m not sure what you mean…..
Gays are usually very stylish, much more than homophobes who use gay as a slur. So this must be a compliment.
