On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Chicago on 9-14-16.
We're looking at Two 1941 Cadillac’s. A Coupe and a Convertible both in Antoinette Blue paint.
Here's the details one at a time.
1) The 1941 Cadillac Club Coupe Series 61. In 1941 the new “Torpedo” styling with its low running board less bodies and expansive shoulder room proved to be a big hit.
2) The 1941 Cadillac Deluxe Club Coupe Convertible Series 62. The Series 62 Convertible Coupe is the most desirable of 1941 Series 62’s, and few remain from the 3100 Convertibles originally produced
Both share the V8 346 CI engine, 150 HP L-Head “ Monobloc ”.
The car's Owners are Art & Marge Swanson. Art & Marge both share a passion for the 1940’s Cadillacs body style and they enjoy sharing details of the cars when they attend car shows.
ENJOY!

If the people who run Cadillac had any imagination they'd recreate these cars today in limited edition runs with modern safety and convenience features like air bags and air conditioning. They'd have no problem selling them at all.
I like the way you think Paul 124 :-)
the last drop of "imagination" was the Corvette
I've seen Art Swanson's 1942 Cadillac any number of times, but I didn't know these beauties were here, too. That was a treat!
Now I'll have to compare and contrast the cars...how they changed from one year to the next, not just the Hydramatic transmission.
Happy to share Art's cars with you :-)
It is a pity that the wind noise is so strong. I didnt hear it much!
You're right. The wind was a unknown factor on how it effected the video until it was loaded.
Stunningly beautiful cars.

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ACCURATELY....just a bit windy but good!! THX AGAIN!
Ok, When I viewed the video, the voice sound was a second or two ahead of the action. Glad to see it's ok, Thank you! Lou
I think I like the fast back better
Glad you enjoy the fastback. Either one could be a winner for sure :-)

WONDERFUL VIDEO WISH I OWNED ONE ONLY HAVE A SCALE MODEL
Glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully, you'll get a full size one someday soon. Thank you for commenting, Lou
beautiful American cars then, but if they hit 100k miles it was almost a miracle
Hi through my eyes, You're right on both accounts, Lou
@@loucostabile you're the BEST Lou!
Thank you.
Few if any cars of this era regardless of where they were manufactured made it to 100k without several mechanical overhauls.
Technology didn't exist to build vehicles for that kind of longevity.
@@williamegler8771 I owned a 58 2 door Coupe de Ville the vacuum wipers were a nightmare at night especially when accelerating the damn things would stop. Those boats floated down the road such a sweet ride.
Nice :)
Happy to see you think this one is "Nice" :-)
@@loucostabile 😀
Lou , if you ever break down and buy a Speaker Muffler , we would not complain . If you remember that live and in person is much slower … meaning , all those quick moves and No Muffler make it hard to follow … I know your not Clint Eastwood but , please slow down … Thanks
Challenge is I'd need to buy a new camera too. I was going pretty fast on this video, so hopefully the more recent video I slowed down. Let me know what you think of this one put out today. ua-cam.com/video/izM-9U6N6hI/v-deo.html
Please don’t cut Art off at the end of the video
Not intentional
Tell me the cost
No idea.
@@loucostabile ok
That's pretty Cool I would like to get my wife and I his and hers Mercedes And when we do I would like for you too do a review on the cars Lou
That's a solid idea, Loui
Lou I am quite sure this is not your first corn roast get yourself a proper mike so we the viewers can hear what this good old boy has to say.
Hi Robert, I like corn roasted so you're speaking my language, Lou
Why are the convertibles terrible in the market?
Hmmm, not sure. Maybe a Viewer can share knowledge.
