I absolutely love how this version is clean, versus the vocal compression Axl Rose is famous for. This version is terrific, and you don't even try to copy the original style. It just shows that no matter how "big" a song is, it can be redone in a personal style and still absolutely rock. Love it!

your breathing is amazing! my grandmother was vocally trained and she always said that you'll never hear a truly talented and well trained vocalist take a breath
To be fair, her probably has a noise gate on so you wouldn't hear the breaths. Your grandmother would have meant opera singers on stage, and she is correct. But this doesn't apply to contemporary singers - it would sound a little manufactured if your couldn't hear breaths a contemporary singer was taking - listen to almost any recording and you will hear the breaths fitting in nicely with the style.
When it comes to vocal - it's definitely the best one. However, in instruments, it can be clearly heard that it is a highly compressed mp3 from some karaoke website... the quality of instrumental background is very bad.

I have been doing classic rock karaoke for the past 3 years, as much as i hate the sound of my own voice , i have had plenty of positive feedback from those that enjoy it. I have been watching your videos for the past year and you have greatly increased not only my vocal abilities but also my confidence on the ministage. Just this past month the same KJ has said i have come a very long way and have never sounded better than the other night. Tricky part with Axl is that he doesn't do that much vibrato. And in my view this, together with lack of distortion, is what makes this more into a musical.

Thanks Ken. Less than 2 years ago several friends dared to me to try karaoke because they knew I had a singing background (mostly sacred church and classical). I avoided Guns N Roses tunes believing I couldn't do justice to their tunes. My UA-cam profile has an earlier clip of me performing "Patience" that has gradually improved since the recording. This past weekend on a whim I tried "November Rain" and surprised myself and a number of people listening. Maybe one evening I'll have enough guts to try "Paradise City."

Hi, Mike! I find it strange, too. Not only should vocal coaches be displaying demonstrations of them singing songs, they should be demonstrating their voices on Hundreds of songs, in a wide variety of styles and ranges, so you could hear exactly the skill level they will be teaching you to attain. Anybody can try to "prove" they can sing on one or two easy songs. But Song after Song is Real Proof. There is a BIG reason why other vocal coaches don't let you hear them singing live, on camera, on hundreds of difficult songs... It would not be a pretty picture. The PROOF is in the SINGING.

November Rain is an epic track from the 1990s; as Rose's vocals were more melodic than he did Appetite for Destruction as November Rain had progressive moments. I remember when Use Your Illusion I and II came out as I used to belt out "You Could Be Mine" as that was pretty damn heavy. He was influenced by Danzig when he was with the Misfits. Rose's vocals were criminally underestimated as he released November Rain as that was a game changer as Civil War got airplay on Rebel Radio. Use Your Illusion 1 had some more epics on that album as Use Your Illusion II had an epic of it's own. The video for November Rain was pretty fucking expensive :laughing: Metallica's Black Album was an expensive album to produce as that was the first with Bob Rock as Flemming worked with Blind Guardian and Morbid Angel. Blind Guardian's Imaginations From The Other Side is a track that has a range too. Axl has a punk style rasp that gave the first Guns N Roses album it's sleaze.
JMCH1988 not gonna argue whos better, but axl is not "just" a raspy voice, he has a clean deep voice but he manages to hit unbelievable highs with a rasp that came so natural to him as if his normal voice was like that with such great power

Thanks Ken. Less than 2 years ago several friends dared to me to try karaoke because they knew I had a singing background (mostly sacred church and classical). I avoided Guns N Roses tunes believing I couldn't do justice to their tunes. My UA-cam profile has an earlier clip of me performing "Patience" that has gradually improved since the recording. This past weekend on a whim I tried "November Rain" and surprised myself and a number of people listening. Maybe one evening I'll have enough guts to try "Paradise City."

again As always so simple yet so profound… When it comes to that long instrumental part i usually (and i do this like alll the time, as a musician late to get into, or rather my voice Out!) just make vocal sounds imitating instruments in it and though i'm actually serious it comes as if it's kind of silly or something … so…! why don't I just genuinely sing it like a vocalist? like you just did… !

Hi, Mike! I find it strange, too. Not only should vocal coaches be displaying demonstrations of them singing songs, they should be demonstrating their voices on Hundreds of songs, in a wide variety of styles and ranges, so you could hear exactly the skill level they will be teaching you to attain. Anybody can try to "prove" they can sing on one or two easy songs. But Song after Song is Real Proof. There is a BIG reason why other vocal coaches don't let you hear them singing live, on camera, on hundreds of difficult songs...
It would not be a pretty picture. The PROOF is in the SINGING.

November Rain is an epic track from the 1990s; as Rose's vocals were more melodic than he did Appetite for Destruction as November Rain had progressive moments. I remember when Use Your Illusion I and II came out as I used to belt out "You Could Be Mine" as that was pretty damn heavy. He was influenced by Danzig when he was with the Misfits. Rose's vocals were criminally underestimated as he released November Rain as that was a game changer as Civil War got airplay on Rebel Radio. Use Your Illusion 1 had some more epics on that album as Use Your Illusion II had an epic of it's own. The video for November Rain was pretty fucking expensive :laughing: Metallica's Black Album was an expensive album to produce as that was the first with Bob Rock as Flemming worked with Blind Guardian and Morbid Angel. Blind Guardian's Imaginations From The Other Side is a track that has a range too. Axl has a punk style rasp that gave the first Guns N Roses album it's sleaze.

JMCH1988 not gonna argue whos better, but axl is not "just" a raspy voice, he has a clean deep voice but he manages to hit unbelievable highs with a rasp that came so natural to him as if his normal voice was like that with such great power
