The US Census 2020 enumeration for Atlanta CSA is 6,930,423, a 14.46% increase from April 2010. Extrapolation yields an approximate population of 7,106,883 by January 2022. Atlanta Surpassed Miami to become the 9th largest MSA in the United States in 2019.
The US Census 2020 enumeration for Atlanta MSA is 6,089,815, a 15.19% increase from 2010. Extrapolation yields an approximate population of 6,252,751 by January 2022. Atlanta MSA surpassed Miami MSA in late November of 2021 and will surpass Philadelphia MSA in early September of 2022 to become the US 7th largest MSA.

Of course we can be biased in our take on our cities, but ATL has way too many open areas with no skyscrapers only small or low-rise buildings, which makes it looks just too spread out, and not a well-planned out vision! Not too impressive if I maybe honest! However, Buckhead seems to have a vision of how the want to develop their downtown area!

Thanks for viewing. When were you last in ATL? Buckhead doesn't have a downtown.. Buckhead is an Atlanta neighborhood .. the area that some call Buckhead is a mixture of multiple separately named Atlanta neighboorhoods, (Peachtree Hills, Peachtree Heights East, Peachtree Heights West, GardenHills, Brookwood, North Buckhead and Buckhead Village and Buckhead Forest). . There is a ton of space between the buildings in "Buckhead" because it's a suburban district with highrises/skyscrapers.
