I remember this vehicle, it was diagnosed as a bad alternator. No technician likes a come back. But your persistence and knowledge finally got to the root of the problem. I hope the customer was understanding. There is no such thing as a perfect world.

That's a for alarm system hooked up for a censor so basically if someone tap the car or most of the technical sensors might be up too high and I look button on the side of it you can like twist it for sensitivity to higher a load like the one that gives busted of so many shops what they do is They hook their sensor up to the lights of the vehicle so somebody opened up the door something like that that light up pop on and let them know that the alarm would go off and let them know aid that this carbon tap away or sometimes it doesn't cause if you hit them the headlights have come on with the alarm system but it used to be the running lights so they might have hooked up the wrong lights to it instead of the running lights they use the headlights so some people won't they headlights is the flicker when they alarm going off so that's what that is if that's a remote starter whatever it might be Babe

I’ve replaced the battery,alternator and cleaned all ground wires in the engine compartment. I was at a loss for where to go next. I’m going to try checking wires because the alarm and door locks don’t work right. Thank you so much.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I want to share this with you. I had a problem where the parklights were intermediately switching on while driving my Sandero Stepway 900T 2017 model. It turned out to be brake light bulbs that I recently fitted were of poor quality. The bulbs were turning black yet continued to work. I fitted better quality bulbs. So far the issue has stopped. The dash is not flickering. Especially when I press the brake pedal. I'm sure this will help too

I have the exact same problem, surprisingly I think its the connection to my door too. It's a Toyota Yaris hatchback. I almost ruled it out as a bad alternator, although I eventually had to change my battery (it was already bad). The flickering stopped a while ago when I kinda slammed the driver door (not intentional though 😅. I'll keep observing to trace the exact location of the faulty device. I had a similar problem with slight flicker, remote key frequently not working even after replacing the key battery, key fob and car battery dying after the vehicle sat unused for weeks. Turned out to be a defective GPS tracker installed by the dealer because they wanted to track the vehicle if payments were not made. Finally paid off the vehicle and sold it because it was a terrible car due to A/C Auto climate control, power steering and CVT issues, 2013 Nissan Altima......
What was connected to the interface module? there could be a number of functions connected to that module Tachometer, door locks and locking systems a car alarm were any of these attached and causing a fault and then you might think it is just the module but what if it was a door lock?

Well done for sticking with it...i did watch the first video....did you check for a/c ripple or did you just go with the alternator as the fault stopped when it was unplugged?
jeffrey herbert I checked for AC ripple the first time I did the job, not the second time, I checked for voltage drops, everything checked out fine then I got a different brand Alternator... Which didn't fix lol!!! I just went with the fact that the problem stopped when I unplugged the Alternator
I wish I had access to a mechanic like yourself. Not just your expertise but you also took the time to find the issue. Mechanics here charge tons for half the diagnosis then replace expensive parts with no guarantee.
Was that an aftermarket alarm system that was at some point disconnected but became active for some unknown reason got plugged in and since there is no horn or siren present kept flickering until turned off by the remote control.....
I have a 2009 Nissan cube it shakes as soon as I reach 65 mph but stops as soon as I reach 80mph . I changed rotors, axles, wheel hubs , engine mount transmission mount . Still does it . I'm thinking it's a sensor issue because it always stops right at 80 mph and there's always a slight wiggle in the steering wheel when it hits 80 and drives normal. What do you think it could be ?

@sauldean6430 since the car was in a wreck the problem could be a wiring issue or a module problem, I recommend you have it diagnosed by a pro mechanic

If they start to flicker and I turn the engine off, the flickering usually stops when I restart the engine. I am suspecting the ignition switch because sometimes the engine won't start at all but eventually does start after a couple tries.
After when I watched this car first video , the day after car was cut out after few minutes then I checked battery (it’s only one month old) it’s was only about 6v then jumped start it then checked again while the car running it was 13.2v then checked alternator out put was 13.3 within few minutes goes down to 10.9v then I knew my alternator is bad with focus on yr video ( I plug the car on trusted obd reader no code ) anyway I ordered new alternator I fitted in the car the alternator put out 14.2 v happy day, after few hours same thing came back then checked alternator same story like old one , I was thinking same as you defective alternator but while I was there thought let me check throttle body it was a mist oil on it gave a gd clean flow by clean air mass flow sensor and jumpstart the car it was solid 14.2 v then one thing came to my mind let put the old alternator back guess what it was put out 14.2v since old alternator works spot on .

Michael Angelo this module is easy to replace, it has a couple of tabs that you have to undo then it's gonna come right up!

the bad SL2 can module looks like it is a bypass for the alarm remote control to control door locks, arm, disarm, possibly remote start functions.

I have a nissan serena hybrid 2013 anytime I put on the headlights the van lose power but once I Take off the headlights it works normal.
