I have lived in Eugene for almost a year at Chasd village ap. and I really loved the city specifically the weather. Since I came from hot and humid country in the middle east, I really enjoyed the rain, green & cold seasons. I still remember my first day at Inn at the 5th hotel looking to the street through the huge window the green view was amazing.
If you don't mind me asking whats your monthly income like . I'm looking to move into some apartments somewhere near Eugene hopefully in a year or so . I'm just trying to see if its even possible I make about 19 an hour
If anyone currently lives there and has alergies, can you tell me how bad they are? I currently live in Wichita, KS and it seems to be ranked in the top 10 on every list. I keep hearing alergies are a problem in Eugene but I can't imagine it would be worse than here. Thanks for any help! ♥
Hey Lauri that was awesome 👏🏼 I’m gonna start my Doctoral studies at University of Oregon next Fall. Could you please let me know where is the best place for students to rent a home?

The average rainfall WAS 47 inches a year. Getting less and less rainfall, especially in the southern half of Oregon. Eugene lies just about mid Oregon and rainfall has noticeably decreased, with wildfires on the rise in the area. And then there's the large homeless population that's attracted to the area due to all the handouts and freebies. Lots of property crime in Eugene. Have to keep everything locked up tight. Bike theft capital of the state. If you can't keep your car in a garage you better have a car alarm system. But hey, that's normal, right? And Eugene is one of the most expensive places to live in Oregon. Gotta love it.

Hi Michael, there is core group that do not want migration from any state and they use Cali as their big statement. I'm a Cali transplant (Long Beach) and have never felt unwanted. Plus the U of O is Eugene's largest employer, without Students Eugene wouldn't be much of a city. Come on up you'll love it!
I just don’t tell anyone in from California. I changed my plates (I’m not a student I live here full time) so that helps. The people who do ask where I’m from are cool cuz they just assume ur from the city and are liberal.
@K J OMG you're so funny!!! I was brought here 48 years ago by my parents who were both born in Oregon. Indirectly I was born in Alabama (Army kid) I have to say with all the issues Eugene faces I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! (But I don't live in the city 😆)
Eugene is located in Lane County and yes there are bears in the county but not the city. Turkey's, Deer, racoons, possum and an occasional cougar and bobcat pass through the city. 😀

And at the fastest the best hotel you can get in Eugene always wanted to get a suit there but they're 600 a night
There is so many good reasons to live in Eugene!
Better than living in Portland. I know a gal in Vancouver, her name is Penny Kenworthy. Her dad lives in Eugene.
@@janicewilliams2194 tell your friend Penny hello from a fellow Kenworthy:) who knows we could be related!

Nobody is welcoming to Californians
I am, but they're going to Texas and AZ now.
Do you also cover tiny homes?
Tiny homes are gaining popularity hear especially with Eugene promoting housing infill within the city.
Are there any bears that come to close to the city?
Eugene is located in Lane County and yes there are bears in the county but not the city. Turkey's, Deer, racoons, possum and an occasional cougar and bobcat pass through the city. 😀
Thanks
People in Oregon are really good looking. Better than Southern California !
