It’s so easy to start comparing to other people especially when riding in groups, then we start hesitate in our self. But we should never compare our self to other people we are all unique and fantastic as we are. Off course we should expand our comfort zone and try new ways and meet new people and try to “evolve” (I don’t know if that’s the correct word to use). But not in the way that we compare our self against other people and try to be someone else than who we are. Then we starts to ride faster, further and longer stretches than what we can handle and then it starts to get dangerous. I know exactly that feeling when loosing focus on the riding and starting to look to close to the bike. I was near to hit a car that backed out just in front of me in Forest the summer before this summer. I decided to stop for the day instead of riding further. 😳
When I was visiting my relatives in France, I got to go through the Spanish border for a day, it would have been nice to spend more time there. Come to California, we have lots of sun and warm temperatures most of the year. There are parts of California/US that look similar to where you were riding. These roads have some pretty technically challenging areas for such heavy motorcycles. You are quite an accomplished rider. It looks like a fantastic little holiday.
Winter sucks when you ride a motorcycle. I’d love to ride Spain. I’ve seen a couple of Sven’s videos - coincidence that he was on this trip with you - I’m sure I’ll see his video of this trip. Nice to get away for the winter 👍
Hi Runa. Welcome to Spain! I hope you come more often and check the amazing North Spain. If my plans go well, I will be in Sweden and Norway next June. Cheers!
I am so jealous of your trip. My kind of riding. Off and on road and all over the place. Some hill climbing would have been nice to see. I love the gravel roads and rough terrain. So, did you all fly down to Spain and rental bikes? That was very interesting. My kind of riding even being older than all of the men there I think at 67. I started out hill climbing and moto cross at 15 almost on daily rides for over a year, 15 minutes from where I lived and grew up. We had plenty of older men at that time who were really crazy hill climbers almost straight up mountain sides. When You start out the worst then it is easier the more you ride. Thanks Runa. A very special and enjoyable video trip. 🙂
Thank you, John! This sure was a nice trip 😊 It's arranged through Perez MC Tours so he has all the bikes ready. It's like a package thing, you just bring your riding gear. Hill climbs looks like a lot of fun, not sure if I'd have the balls to do it though 😂
@@OffSheGoesADV The main thing I always did with my Honda CL 100 was to sit up onto the tank as far as I could so I would not flip over on such steep hills from the old slate dump coal mine hills. Never tried to downshift going up steep hills. I think that would be a guarantee flip over backwards. You just hugh the gas tank as close as you can to keep your weight up on the front wheel as much as you can. I would much rather hop up on the back of a cow and go for a nice ride at my age now than do those crazy hill climbs at my age now. But when I would stall out like the others, you just stopped and layed your bike over sideways and went backwards to turn around and then coast and start the bike again going down hill. I think of the crazy stupid things me and my cousins would do and others just for the adrenaline rush. 100 CC is not very much, so we always started out in 1st gear and full throttle to make it to the top. I should be dead many times over from my lifestyle and 21 years as a Forest ranger firefighter. It's bad when your so scared you fight to keep from pooping your pants. I did not have many years of a boring lifestyle. At least I didn't have a boring desk job.I could go on and on. Can't wait to see what happens to you next year and what bike you will be riding. I will be so thrilled when I see you climb in a pasture with cows and no calves and walk up to them and rub them and push against them. I have a very fat picture of myself from about 20 years ago with a bunch of cows somewhere . Maybe they thought I was another fat cow like them. Being raised on a very small farm with horses and chickens and goats made me think of them as friends. Animals have always been friendly towards me. I think they sense your fear of them. I am so glad you liked my country. One of the most interesting feature of it is the variety. Variety of landscapes, weathers, characters...incredible places to ride on and to visit. Andalucía, plenty of amazing corners, also Valencia, Catalonia, Extremadura...also here in Madrid we have amazing roads in the mountains to ride our bikes, however it is forbidden to use unpaved trails for motorbikes. Desserts, mountains, maritime green forests, much variety to choose. Great video
Me ha gustado mucho ver mis carreteras y caminos en tu video, espero que te haya gustado y que vuelvas pronto. Todavia te queda mucho que ver en Málaga
I know the feeling about the winter and not being able to ride we just got 9 ‘s of snow here in upstate NY both bikes are sleeping till April 😢your trip looks awesome
Had bikes my whole life, over half a century! 😱 current bike and last 3 have been Guzzi’s (🥴 I’m addicted🤷♂️) and watching your sheer simply enjoyment brings back wonderful some memories! Keep the lovely simplicity 🤙🤙
Thank you for adding a new item to my bucket list of places to ride. I visited Malaga a couple of times already, but only the city, which is also very beautiful, but I never imagined that riding there could be so exciting!
Thanks for this, Runa. Nice to see Spain again, especially where you were riding. I totally agree regarding the winter issue we have in northern lands. Me, here in Alberta am experiencing what you spoke of. My bike is sitting under wraps in the car port and snow is everywhere around. My gear is here and there about in my place, my helmet on a chair by the front door, my jackets in the hall closet, the other stuff waiting for a thorough cleaning. My dry bags are slowing being organized in my bedroom, even though it is only January. It is all kind of depressing really, watching you and Noraly enjoying riding in sunshine while I look out at snow. Ah, well. Thank God there are people like you et al doing the riding for us and posting excellent videos. Regarding U turns. Are you aware of Doodle on a Motorcycle? She is hard core. One of her video productions chronicles her U turn training. One hundred per day for 30 days. She also practiced picking up a heavy bike. Same thing. Another thing about this video, you show people that it happens, even to very experienced riders like you. Motorcycles fall over. It is nothing to be afraid of and adds character to your bike. Mine is covered with bruises. The service manager who oversees maintenance on my bike put a band aid on a small crack in the fairing. I have left it there. Other spots are bandaged with gorilla tape or covered with black or silver spray paint. There is no point in having an adventure bike if you don't take it on adventures. My bike already has over 22,000 km on it and I've only ridden it for a total of seven months. Can't wait for Spring. Big hug coming to you, Runa. Stay warm.
Thank you and I'm glad you liked the video 😊 I have seen Doodel's videos and really enjoy them, she puts in a lot of work and is doing great! Some u-turn sessions will definitely be necessary although maybe not 100 per day to begin with 😁 And I agree with you - falling over from time to time is gonna happen so might as well stop being so scared of it. It just ruins the joy of riding. Of course, it can be tricky getting it back up, especially when alone, but so far, so good. Bikes are tools that should be used 😃 Have a great day over there, counting days until warmer weather and riding season again!
Thanks for the reply, Runa. Regarding U turn practice: my approach is to do it the best way possible every time I have to do a U turn. What I'm getting at is: riding a motorcycle is a constant process to do it ever better every time. So, whenever I have to do a U turn I try to do it as tightly as I can, on pavement and gravel. Gravel makes me nervous and I am extra careful. Doodle is hard core and I much admire her for that, as I admire Noraly for her hard arse riding skills. Those two and you are my favourite UA-cam riders. Each of you has a unique approach to motorcycle adventuring. Even though what you girls are doing is inspiring, your riding is more akin to how I travel on my bike. Where Noraly goes, nobody goes. What Doodle does, again, I repeat, she is hard core. Whereas you are about camping, being outdoors, showcasing Scandinavia and bringing us big smiles and sparkling eyes. Big hug. Thanks again for your reply. Ride Safe.
Hey Runa are you not glad you had some experience of off roading and gravel before this trip? Bet you were and even your slip and downing of the bike, had you thinking "Yeah next year I can do this again?" Good video as usual and now facing Snow and Ice, wish you were back there.
Yes, I am! Although the first time I went on this trip in 2021 I had NO experience and that was actually just as fun 😃 Pace was a little bit slower then. It's always nice to notice that skills have improved a bit.
Very beautiful tour! Have driven around that area a bit but this tour seems like an excellent way to really experience the hidden gems. Fuengirola is the Scandinavian “ghetto” ;)
Sunshine and southern Spain! This video is a welcome respite from the dark and cold of Northern Canada at the moment.. I believe everyone in the wintery latitudes are already looking forward to riding season. It appears the GS you rode was on Michelin Anakee Adventure tires? In which case the skills of the rider showed themselves when it was time to hustle such a big bike up those gravel roads! Looking forward to more of your adventures!
Fantastic trip, great video and great personal memories of Andalusia on a rented motorbike. You and Sven certainly enjoyed yourselves. You will need to bring fellow Norwegian Thomas with you the next time, he would enjoy 3 days on a GS 😂😂. Well done, truly enjoyable, especially at this time of year. 👏👏
You're looking a bit slimmer today, Runa (slimmer is almost always better no matter one's age), but maybe it's just not so many layers of clothes as one wears riding up north. Love the video!! Take care and safe riding!! 👍
I think you like your coffee stops more than riding the bike Runa😂😉That was just spectacular, challenging at times but worth it for those incredible vistas👌Some of those drop offs were scary, not for me😆Amazing weather for the end of November, we can only dream of weather like that even in summer🤣You go at your own pace Runa, you will live way longer and enjoy the scenery even more👍
Superb landscapes 🤩 beautiful views from the dirt roads, not very easy it seems 🥴😁 Congratulations for your performance as a beginner 👏👌 Spain is a good country for motorbikes and your images really make us want to go there again 👍👍😎
Awesome video! Beautiful countryside for sure. I was wondering what the temperatures were like? It looked pretty comfortable ? And the food looked fantastic. Best!
You look happy. A gorgeous adventure. Shit. I'm up here in Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 where it's going to be -35 on Friday. My passport is invalid or I'd be gone.
Hi Runa, Happy new year! I was wondering regarding the BMW R1250GS, in these offroad conditions, compared to the Norden, what is your experience regarding comparison offroad? Like : If you have to pay for everything yourself, and choose between the 1250gs and norden wich one do you prefer offroad? Cheers Harold
Hi, Harold! Happy new year to you as well 😊 Both are great and very capable bikes! In my opinion, though, the GS is just a little bit too big 😅 Perhaps it just takes getting used to! I've grown to like the Norden very much offroad. I think it's all a matter of personal preference, but I'd still go with the Norden if I'd have to buy one for myself 😊
@@OffSheGoesADV thanks for your reply! Of course it is a personal preference…. And although we are rather different regarding weight, hight (and age 😅🤨) ie 100/192/58 i do mc traveling for 35 years, i was curious enough what youre experience is/was….. i own quite a few motorbikes (most of them old classics) 2 modern ones and one is a 1200GS ADV…. On road, just perfect, off-road i keep thinking when riding about the sheer weight of it all…. Since 5 months i have also a Husky Vitpilen 701… the lightness and the nimbleness, that one brings just brings, it is pure joy and keeps me reminding that weight does matter. Onroad AND off-road… i will give the norden a go when i get the chance! Thanks for your input!
Thật tuyệt,chúc các bạn có một chuyến đi tốt đẹp may mắn binh an,tôi luôn theo sau bạn ủng hộ bạn,tôi thích những chuyến đi của bạn,tuyệt vời cô gái của tôi❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I notice that you are proned to stumble around on the bmw`s more often then Norden :P makes me wonder if the low cg on the bmw beats its purpose :P i.e rider gets alittle too comfy and bam the weight suddenly comes in to play, and tipping over is inevitable 😅
Haha, good observation 😂 Either that, or I'm just riding more tricky terrain on this big bike that I'm not really used to riding either. And yes - once it starts tipping you don't stand a chance holding it back 😅 Nice bike, but BIG
Spain, my country, great. I’d would like to meet you. Next time. Take care!

You are an absolute delight to watch. Safe travels ❤
Always wonderful 🎉❤
Hi Runa here a tip next video do a ride through towns and villages in Spain just to see what there coast and castle ❤😊
I love riding in Spain. They are blessed with so long season. I envy you 😁
Very beautiful tour!
Love the video the mountains are wonderful plenty of dirt tracks and wonderful small towns top video thank you loved it
Yes,i love that bike gs 1250
You're looking a bit slimmer today, Runa (slimmer is almost always better no matter one's age), but maybe it's just not so many layers of clothes as one wears riding up north. Love the video!! Take care and safe riding!! 👍
Definitely less layers here 😊
I think you like your coffee stops more than riding the bike Runa😂😉That was just spectacular, challenging at times but worth it for those incredible vistas👌Some of those drop offs were scary, not for me😆Amazing weather for the end of November, we can only dream of weather like that even in summer🤣You go at your own pace Runa, you will live way longer and enjoy the scenery even more👍
Hahah the coffee stops are a big part of the trip - very enjoyable! 😃
Superb landscapes 🤩 beautiful views from the dirt roads, not very easy it seems 🥴😁 Congratulations for your performance as a beginner 👏👌 Spain is a good country for motorbikes and your images really make us want to go there again 👍👍😎
Good morning Norway country. 😊
Awesome video! Beautiful countryside for sure. I was wondering what the temperatures were like? It looked pretty comfortable ? And the food looked fantastic. Best!
Thank you! It was great 😊 The temperature was perfect - around 20-25 degrees celsius most of the time!
Keep rocking my dear.
You look happy. A gorgeous adventure. Shit. I'm up here in Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 where it's going to be -35 on Friday. My passport is invalid or I'd be gone.
Obrigado!
Thank you very much for the support 🥰

Great video as usually 💪💪
How much iz minus DB gain on your mic transmiter and receiver? Thank you👍
Hi there and thank you!😊 In this trip, I think I had both on -7db! And the camera is on -12, too, I think .
@@OffSheGoesADV thank you 👍
view beautiful ❤❤
Hei Runa. Flott video og bra formidling av hvor enkelt det egentlig er å ta seg en slik tur. Kanskje en dag😊
Thật tuyệt,chúc các bạn có một chuyến đi tốt đẹp may mắn binh an,tôi luôn theo sau bạn ủng hộ bạn,tôi thích những chuyến đi của bạn,tuyệt vời cô gái của tôi❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Have you changed your motorcycle? (FC from Thailand)
No, this was only a weekend trip on a borrowed bike 😊
I notice that you are proned to stumble around on the bmw`s more often then Norden :P makes me wonder if the low cg on the bmw beats its purpose :P i.e rider gets alittle too comfy and bam the weight suddenly comes in to play, and tipping over is inevitable 😅
Haha, good observation 😂 Either that, or I'm just riding more tricky terrain on this big bike that I'm not really used to riding either. And yes - once it starts tipping you don't stand a chance holding it back 😅 Nice bike, but BIG
I wish I could join you 🤗🤗
PLEASE BE CAREFUL PLEASE BE SAFE RUNA JI I AM LOOKING FORWARD FOR UPDATES FOR YOUR NEW ZEALAND TRIP🙂🙂🙂👍👍
Why such big bikes on relatively rough terrain? I’d like to join when you can offer lighter bikes.
