No. You legit have to be like Jesse Kotton with crazy resource management, on-board decision making, Meta knowledge and deck building prowess. It's just not worth it to run Tear unless you can carry it as a player.
I don't see pure tear, but I see it a lot in PUNK piles which I do see quite often. And those can mill enough with Zombie Vampire and Chaos Ruler and Kelbek still being in the game.
Plat 2 right now, I play tearlaments as support to shaddolls instead of the other way around, funny enough the mini kashtira engine is part of it and with arise hearth and tearlament kashtira coming I see no real hit on it even with keldo and 89 banned
The cards targeted on the banlist are specific to the new cards expected to coming out. Nimble Beaver is targeted because of new Gishki cards coming out (Konami should just ban Elf in MD), Tearlaments Havnis is targeted because Tearlaments Kashtira coming out, and Mind Hacker is targeted because of Ariseheart coming out. I think the overkill on Tearlament is because the OCG has been topping with them for two years and Konami wants to make sure people play new cards. I personally think the Merrli ban already was enough to kill the deck.
@@RednuIt won't but Konami Japan want to really make sure that Tear isn't gonna be play in the future their recent new banlist in OCG also very similar to this as well (ban all millers including Chaos Ruler and limited TearKash)
I'm assuming Tear hits are because Tearlaments Kashtira is coming, and the fact that in the OCG Tear to this day is still seeing a lot of play and success, to the point the last OCG banlist was primarily focused on trying to stop Tear. So likely they're just trying to avoid tear being super relevant for MD as well. Bit odd to do it while ariseheart is just being released, but I guess it makes sense to hit tear bit by bit, rather than one giant hit when ariseheart inevitably gets banned.
The thing for me is that, those tear hits dont apply to MD Tear, Tear problem in the OCG was consistency but in theory they had all the tools to play ( 3 fusers ), in MD we only have 2. The problem here is not consistency is power cealing, doesnt matter how good the mill is if you can only fuse 2 times.
Beaver was kinda a bad hit. If you have a problem with that combo ban angler instead if you really don't wanna ban elf. This keeps unnecessary hits to decks that just use beaver

Well... I like the hits because tearlament scarred me for life. I just returned from my hiatus and then I got hit with the mermaids... So I am happy for them to be gone. The klebek hit is reasonable because as soon as a new mill deck comes through, the whole thing will just repeat itself. Havnis was unecessery but still. Not mad.

These past ban list feel like play something else hits and not actually game balance hits which pretty crap cuz not only have these decks been crept they are expensive and now they’re just useless cuz they want you to play Kash Purrely
