Plus I am usually able to swing a painting I'm proud of after following along which is not always the case with other tutorials I've watched. Love this beautiful cat painting, especially the colors.
My first subscription box was in September 2019. This cat was one of the first projects I painted with watercolors and LMA. I finally finished this box this week. Today I repainted the cat again. I am eager to see my progress. I certainly feel like I have learned a great deal the past 2+ years.

The cat on the left is a Bengal. This info comes from our vets. Plus I Have one, and can see his markings for myself. It is the shortness of the face and the darkness of the markings that signifies it's breed, but you need to see the rest of the cats body to make an accurate determination. The cat you are painting is more like the face of an American Shorthair breed. Either way, they are both beautiful felines, as all cats are. You are so talented and do a wonderful job in all your artwork.
Love this, can't wait to get off the subway to paint! Your kitty picture is a Domestic Shorthair, but could be many types of Tabby or Tortoise Shell or Calico. I will paint my Silver Tubby (a chubby tabby) dilute gray Torty and Fluffernutter white and caramel kitties.
This is great fun! I love the color progressions on this kitty cat. I have Ragdoll cats and look forward to painting their little portraits by using lots of different colors, instead of what otherwise would be a dull, photorealistic expression. BTW the little ear flap, it's a cutaneous marginal pouch. #thankgoogleforanswers
The cats ear flap is called the Henry’s pocket or cutaneous marginal pouch. It’s just a skin fold that’s noticeable on cats, bats, and some dogs. What is it for? Nobody really knows for sure.
Very nicely done and good instruction particularly in mixing but the side bar discussion is just a bit distracting. But all in all very much worth watching.

Actually lots of earth-tones kitties - like calico, tortoise shell, and ginger cats ❤ and in terms of bread, could be just a domestic short haired (a good rescue mixed :-)
Fun fact: Calico is actually a chromosomal disorder. In cats the ful pattern is inherited with the X chromosome, and since calicos have red, white and black/brown/stripes, it means they have three X chromosomes. That's also why calicos are always female, a male with three X chromosome is virtually impossible. This disorder also exists in humans, and it's called Klinefelter Syndrome.
Thanks for highlighting! Hits on my queries! I just bought a few bottles of radiant, tried to mix the colours and the colours separated when I add water on my painting. I thought my paints were spoilt.

American shorthair. You can paint alot of different cats with this brush/ breed..lol Calico is more of a coat pattern

If the marking on its forehead is an M, and it has the stripes that you have, it’s a Tabby Cat. I have 2 of them♥️🐱.
