The Jones bags are vinyl, but definitely a great find! And if you had left those MacGregor woods behind I would have had to fly out there and get them. PLEASE, when you find persimmon woods, show us the face inserts, that’s where the money is!
The sole plate and toe stamping are more critical than the insert but agree it’s important to see that as well. Couldn’t tell which numbered clubs were part of that set but I did see 3 with the firing pin insert (versus the keyhole)

Jon and Ash, I was wondering if you would be able to help me identify and comp a custom club with your expertise? I haven't seen anything online anywhere. I just acquired a custom putter that has a 2 part wood shaft, 3 screw on putter heads, two are metal, one wood. The two metal are blade and mallet, wood is mallet. The shaft is engraved Bill Buford. The putter heads all have 1982 Championship Southern Hills CC Emblems. One putter head bottom says Golf Design USA, "R ROLLSoN". Another says "Invader", Golf Design. The wooden head says "Woodie", Golf Design USA. I know your very busy, and this is not an appraiser service, but any help or direction is appreciated.

At first I thought Jon was wearing an Auburn ball cap, buying an Alabama bag. The hat's colors are right but the logo (Detroit?) was wrong. Nice find regardless.
Jones bags are great. I have to ma y myself. It’s vinyl not leather. And you also split up the velocitized set! You left 2 behind to match the driver bit grabbed some non matching low value clubs. The velocitized set Of 3 woods would easily bring $100-150 . They refinish so nicely.

Interesting? I acquired a maguire iron set with 4 persimmon woods virtually no wear. What am I looking for as to identifying marks? For rarity?
