I do love you Bro Huntley, I believe stongly in the Acts 2:38 message, but it would be the absolute dumbest thing to ask someone your going to marry if they pay their tithes. The biblical tithe has absolutely nothing to do with the new testament church of God (The Bride of Christ). The biblical tithe are agricultural products, not silver, gold, and shekels which were aplenty all throughout the bible. The book of Malachi is a rebuke to the levitical pristhood, the sons of Jacob, Aaron, and Levi. Malachi 3:8-10 should not be preached to the church to collect money, this is an error the UPC and other Oneness affiliations have grossly mis-used to collect money from the people. Giving is the message of the new testament church, and the new covenant we have in Christ Jesus!
