Hey Rob, I went through the same situation, I tried my best to research, speak to references, vet, got multiple quotes etc..., I even had the contractor that did a great job the last time that I could've have chosen but decided to get screwed lol, doesn't matter what part of the world we live in, it happens everywhere.
