- Crystal got yet another buff, I think maybe, finally, this might be the one that actually makes her a viable card. I tried her out in a Ronan Surfer deck, and it went really well!

Power Estimate: This deck had some great results through my first couple hours of testing, with a 70% winrate. It may not prove to be better than a regular Silver Surfer deck with more data, but it did feel capable, and Crystal felt like a good fit.

I actually used Crystal back when she did the shuffling effect. It was pretty good with pre nerf Lockjaw, if you needed a hand reset.

@ShiniOokami I actually had the same idea, but it was only worth it if u had a rly good pre negative curve. Otherwise, you would just redraw your hand. Adam Warlock was always just better, esp bc it could be upgraded by Negative. I imagine the same would be true now, even with negative surfer
card draw is kinda bad fr negative tho, domino is better than crystal tbh, btw they really need to rework quicksilver he should be like an extra draw than the draw@@ShiniOokami

I love Crystal in negative surfer. Helps you find negative early, or helps you draw more negatived cards. It felt very good to me.

Ok, this explains it. I literally just played against a mold, crystal, and maximus surfer deck and thought the opponent was crazy but they just didn't get to play Ronan I guess. I still won with my negative deck though 🙌🏾
all these buffs to silver surfer decks and he is still the ONLY series 3 card i dont have 😭
Crystal can also be used in a Hela deck, if played before Modok and Hela go off she gives an extra card in your hand to be discarded

The card you need appears at the end, not during the game but the part that gets the 4 booster points. Like F*ck you RNG
Honestly crystal should be a 1 cost 2 power card in my opinion. because it also helps the opponent.
It will be a card that every deck have at that point, if we keep it 3/3 not all decks can afford it
She's definitely more usable now, but I think she's still subpar. Every deck wants to draw cards. She draws card for your opponent, and while you spend that turn playing her, your opponent spends it building their board. Unless your final combo ends up being bigger than theirs, they kinda won the trade in that scenario. As comparison, Wave does almost the same thing in concept, but having more higher cost cards in your deck means Wave has more options to have that advantage after you spend the turn playing wave. You opponent may not have their big card in their hand, especially when you see their deck as having mostly smaller cost cards. Also, Wave has the added benefit of limiting cards played in the next turn to one, which can be used to your advantage. For Crystal, there isnt any other benefit other than drawing a card, and giving that draw to your opponent too, without any after effect we can take advantage of.

I run Baron, but I often swap in Armor to protect Ronan. Shang-Chi is more common than enchantress imo, and armor can screw with destroy decks quite nicely
What is the reason for playing the deck with all base cards and no variants?

I'm not a big fan of Killmonger in Surfer decks where you're planning to have priority on Turn 6, and you don't have space for a Nova. With Ronan coming down on 5, that's often the case, which means Killmonger is less likely to hit a late Kitty Pryde, Deadpool, etc., and lacks the proactive power of Polaris on earlier turns.
@@RegisKillbin I agree having priority will be more common in this deck list. But Killmonger can be a win condition by himself, where Polaris is rarely a win condition. If a game is looking like Killmonger is a win condition then you can throw priority by not playing out Ronin. I like Polaris in Surfer decks but you have enough power with Max, Ronin, Mystique, & Surfer.

When changing a 4 drop to 3 drop and then reducing their power is a nerf
Crystal is 3/4 because of zabu but now its 3/3 whichis more weaker same with shanna who is 3/4 turned to 3/2
Yes they work now with surfer but who tf will run shanna and crystal on surfer
regis is running crystal and it's working out, and then you don't need to use zabu with crystal
