When I was 8 my parents bought a house on beech mountain parkway just after hummingbird lane above buckeye creek in 1995 with an absolutely breathtaking view. I’ve been vacationing in beech mountain every year for 28 years. Beech Mountain is a second home for me. I love that place!

What a nice place to spend a weekend. There used to be an outdoor skating rink near the chairlift but I did not see it in your video. Is it gone now?

We didn't see it either, and it looked to be replaced by some gardens. We were commenting that it looked like ti was gone when we were there.

Well done video. I enjoyed the music and it moved along and showed a lot of different points of interest. The tree's appear to have a little color. Loved it!

Thanks so much - It's tough to put this much content in a video and keep it interested and pacing at the same time. Appreciate the feedback! Yes, trees weren't showing a great deal of color yet, but this was two weekends ago, so I'm sure they have progressed since then. 5,000+ feet should be peaking this week and next. Thanks for watching!

Great video!I really enjoyed the two hikes and the chair lift to the top of Beech Mtn. Awesome views. Last time I was over in that area I remember seeing lots of deer too. Holy Smokes look yummy as well as that breakfast place.

Thank you! Had a great time visiting and putting the video together. The views were definitely incredible. We saw tons of deer, just couldn't get the camera out fast enough. We even had two deer below the deck at our Condo. Holy Smokes was our favorite - Great food, staff, and the views from their deck were awesome. Thanks for watching!

@@Blueridgemountainlife That is awesome man. I remember riding up on Oz rd and deer would be standing in people's front yards while they were blowing leaves with a leave blower lol. They didn't have a care in the world haha. There is some very beautiful houses up there too, especially at the top. You are welcome. We will be up in Maggie this weekend so I can't wait. You need to slide down to the SC Blue Ridge mtns and check some places out there as well. Travelers Rest is awesome, as well as Greenville, Pretty Place, Ceasars Head State Park has awesome views too. See ya around.

I live in lexington, south carolina and have always enjoyed trips to the mountains of NC & TN. since my childhood my Dad would take our family on trips to cheroked NC, Grandfather Mountain, and pigeon forge TN. Some favorite places I like to hike are Mt. Leconte, GSMNP and Graveyard fields area around Black Basam knob.
Im actualy planning a day hike tomorrow 10/6. Havent been up there in years so im really looking foward to some nice fall weather and beautiful colors from the trees. Take care. God bless you and your family.

Hey John, glad you found us and appreciate you following along! Your favorite areas to hike are some of ours as well. We need to do a video on Mount Leconte sometime soon - Hoping to do an overnight stay at the lodge. We've been up 3 times, but haven't stayed overnight yet. Hope you have a great visit and enjoy your hike! - Larry & Jenn
