- La Personne presents a new video story about the leading ballerina with the Kremlin Ballet and R-Class ambassador Olesya Dmitrakova. After graduating from The Bolshoi Ballet Academy our heroine had quit ballet for five years, she had a child and lived a life far from ballet. But once a desire to dance won, and the life gave her a chance - she joined the Kremlin Ballet. Starting from corps de ballet with no ambitions or goals to become a soloist, Olesya moved forward step by step. The shootings of this film took place while she was preparing one of the most difficult parts of the classical repertoire in The Swan Lake. And this is the first leading role for our heroine. In the video portrait Olesya Dmitrakova reflects about her transformation into the swan, about profession, her work in the studio and excitement before the premiere.
The film is created under the support of R-Class. Heartfelt thanks to the founder of the company Roman Kukushkin.
Special thanks to the Artistic Director of the Kremlin Ballet Andrey Petrov.
Special thanks to the State Kremlin Palace for the assistance in film creating.
that black swan performance is absolutely amazing...
I wish I could watch the ballet complete :(
Its on UA-cam just search it up ☺️
“Black Swan” is a crappy movie. If you want to see amazing performances by world class dancers, search for the “Swan Lake” ballet on UA-cam.
@@written2382 I dont think they were talking abt the movie, more about the ballet.
@@written2382 they weren't talking about the movie, and stfu, Black swan is amazing
noname - grow up, dumb bitch. It’s my opinion. The Black Swan movie was trash.
If you’ve ever been on a stage doing whatever as a soloist you know how nerve racking it is. Massive congratulations to her.
Yeah i was in a orchestra concert before and i play solo as clarinetist.. really its driving me crazy!!
I used to be a ballroom dancer. I failed my first performance because couldn't pick up myself before the audience. That was a disaster. Fortunately I never let emotions take over everafter. It was a good taught.
I’m doing sleeping beauty right and on Saturday I’m going to have my first solo performance on pointe as Beauty Fairy... pray for me
Eduardo Manrique Very true!
What a stunning performer and person. I love the vulnerability of her honesty about the profession.
Yes, I love humility in her talking. No diva at all, just a real person with a dream.
She’s ridiculously beautiful not only her face and body but her lines are outstandingly beautiful especially for someone who hadn’t danced for so long
Once Upon A Blink its her soul dancing
its really meant for her!
She is so supple
ikr
I don’t understand how anyone finds ridiculously excessive thinness attractive or beautiful. She looks abnormally thin. Like anorexic or something. It’s not beautiful, it looks unhealthy...
@@thecalmingwitch I know but that is the norm. If course you have to be light and thin for the man to carry you around but also because dancing a ballet is very hard work like doing sports for 2 hours sometimes 3 hours
Her teacher is so amazing, encouraging her while still giving corrections. And she’s an amazingggg dancer, Bravo.
She has the cutest little up turned nose. It makes her look so unique.
for some reason, it makes her look like a royalty
at first I thought it was Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell actress) dancing as both have such beautiful button nose.
It looks weird tho.
It reminds me of a who from the animated grinch movie in the most adorable way
Yeees😍😍😍
Also her nose reminds me of Anna from "Frozen"
Quite an amazing story. A five-year absence from dance, never having joined a company after she graduated from the Bolshoi Academy, then returning to this level!
Shows they know what they are doing ad far as recognizing talent!
@@kathymyers7279 Indeed. One reason Russia excels in ballet is the ability to recognize talent and make no bones or apologies for it.
She is so humble, yet she dances with such unapologetic maturity. I love how she interpreted the Black Swan; her excitement is contagious! Love this documentary!

The transformation from white swan to black swan is outstanding. A magnificent ballerina, excellent technique and beautiful interpretation. Bravo! I am so glad you were able to return to dance and share your gift with us. Love from South Africa.
Joyann Goddard exactly! I was shocked by the transformation, its like two different performers. Grandiosa ballerina
Imagine in the future her son was watching this video and be like:
"Wow, that is my mom. I'm so proud and grateful of her being my mom"
I love her interpretation as Odile, the facial expression is perfect, you really see the pride in her eyes, just like I imagine Odile. Odette is also really well interpreted, the innocence, the sadness, she is an amazing dancer
She has the most expressive face. Every emotion is shown so perfectly. I think that and her grace is remarkable.
When she became the black swan i got goosebumps damn she's amazing
her relationship with her mentor is just so beautiful and pure. i think i love them
Watching this after also taking 5 years from ballet gives me strength. I am restarting my lessons now and I couldn't be happier.
Good luck and lots of fun and strength
I love how she said that when she first started in the theater, she was just wanted to dance. That is the heart of a true dancer.💗
the audience can be happy only with the talented and hot heart on the stage
This is so aesthetic! I love that her teachers really worked with her.
I love that they are rehearsing Swan Lake and the Nutcrakcer tree is in the background... real life.
With Vivaldi's Summer (I think) playing throughout.
Uhhh thats Vivaldi four seasons!
@@jadm.215 And is 'Summer' one of the four seasons?

I love how she put her son first. 💗💗💗
Impressive I just love Olesya's drive and the fact she hadn't danced in 5 years she's amazing wow those f ouettes just to get your body reprogrammed to dance the basics is difficult!!❤ Really hope to see more of this ballerina!!😊
I come back to this video every so often just to see her Black Swan again. Amazing delivery.
I wonder how many ballerinas have taken time off and then come back, and whether taking time off lengthens their careers.
Ulyana Lopatkina did, due to injury and having a child. I doubt that it lengthens their career. Bodies grow old and the young ones are waiting for their place.
My dance instructor took a break.
When she was 14 years old they were grooming her to be their next soloist and she was just too young. Very talented but very young. The pressure was too much and she quit when she was 18. She came back to in in he 20s. She's amazing and beautiful but she told me one time "I will teach ballet all my life but I will never put a child through what I was put through."
That never happens. She has a ridiculous amount of determination. Especially to have a baby and come back. I am mind blown at her determination
@@amandac8458 She's retired now from what I last read
@ThatOneAsianBroChick she did not dance in 2016-2017 and ultimately retired in 2017. The injury was too severe. But she was 43 when she retired so that's a pretty solid career!
Pure emotion. Just lovely. Bravo!
I wish I could've seen her dance black swan in person, I watched the video, absolutely amazing. She is so talented, and most of all I love her personality and attitude, she doesn't come off as snobbish or hard, she knows how lucky she is and it shows through her dance
Link. Please ?:)
Ballerinas are the strongest athletes ever!! 🩰💪 What a beautiful performance!
Her facial expressions throughout the whole thing had me sold. You could really start to feel all the emotions put into the performance as a whole. Easily my favorite ballet of all time!
literally started tearing up when she transformed into Odille, that contrast was breathtaking !
loved the "sassiness" and kind of arrogant look that represented the black swan so well, she nailed it in every way.
Bravo.
It's always a treat to see behind-the-scenes videos on UA-cam of different ballet companies; NY, San Francisco, Houston, London, etc. And I'm always amazed at the discipline and beauty of the dancers and their passion for dance. But even to my untrained eyes the few videos I've seen of Russian ballet companies (including this one) are exceptional. The Russian ballerinas are the best of the best - Olesya Dmitrakova not only dances the part of a swan, but becomes one right before our eyes. Her incredibly graceful movements and impressive technique are amazing. I wish I could see her dance the entire performance.
I love her because she is real. I cried at the end...
This story is so relatable it damn near hurts. I remember all through elementary and high school I was in orchestra. From the first time I picked up a violin I absolutely loved it and it was my single reliable pride and joy. However, i'd get so emotional and actually cried a few times when my teachers would snap at me for losing focus or not doing something right. In those moments it wasn't the teacher snapping that set me off per se, but was instead my own frustration with myself viciously coming out, feeling like every correction was a reaffirmation that I was messing up and not keeping up/falling behind. This totally illogical feeling of not feeling you're good enough can eat you alive. But luckily I had great family friends orchestra mates and teachers who supported me and reassured me that it's totally normal to make mistakes on your way to perfecting your art.
Sadly, I stopped playing back in 2013 when my family was going through some heavy drama and transitions. I lost my dear violin (that my last instructor whom I'd been very close with gifted me) during this time and with it a piece of my soul. I mourned over that damn violin, I tell you(still low-key am)! Needless to say, a very unstable stressful angry time in my life for sure.😒
But now I'm fairly stable in life, and this wonderful lady, whom just like me-stepped away for a while, came back and absolutely slayed! She gives me hope and a lot of inspiration to pick the violin back up.😌❤👏
I'm not a dancer and specially not a ballerina, I just stopped by because it caught my interest. Her story moved me and it turned into an inspiration, I hope I'll be able to find my own dream just like her one day.
She moves like a feather in the wind, very graceful performance. Respects.
WOW. To not have danced for 5 years have a child and come back retrain and beat all the younger girls who have been practicing that whole time. Just wow absolutely amazing. I'm 24 i have been wanting to get back into dance for years I'm just so worried everyone is going to be better than me but I remember the basics. This gives me so much hope. Just to dance for fun. I don't want to be in swan lake lol. This is incredible.
I know right,it is literally unheard of in the industry and it makes her truly amazing and exceptionally strong
her black swan is AMAZING wow
I'm amazed both by Odile and Odette performance , and the humbleness of the dancer. Congratulations to all the company.
Her performing as the Black Swan is impeccably GORGEOUS!
She is so beautiful, and so humble, I can tell she's an amazing mother and ballerina.

The russians produce the finest classical ballerinas, hands down. They have been doing the longest, and have the finest ballet teachers. ❤
Her interpretation of Odile was simply magnificent. She looked so alive and present and beautiful. Totally mesmerizing.
