@@LoverOfTech can you compare the night video of s24 ultra vs s23 ultra? I have seen the s24 ultra to be not as good as s23 ultra especially in 4k 60fps in very low light environment
It is very surprising! When you think that much more pixels are off in dark mode... Maybe the difference would be bigger in a text editor, where both the background and the keyboard are white in normal mode and black on dark mode...
5% is pretty good difference, it'd be close to 10% for a full battery discharge and also in the sub outside the display would work 4 times as hard in terms of brightness and respectively display power draw. To me the difference is as expected, maybe even more than expected...
@@iam_joshua_bcxvii I disagree with both of you because if I'm using light mode, the brightness will be much lower than the dark mode and battery life will end up similar
@@clickbaitpro what do you mean by brightness will be much lower?, like you set the brightness to lower due to lessen light intake as it causes eye fatigue in light mode?.. if so, thats on a case to case basis where you would want to prefer to lower it, but on a setup where consistent brightness setting was set, this is the best testing to do it as its common anyway to have it at that fixed brightness. Manually toggling between brightness setting just because you have light mode turned on is shyte. Plus, you have a flagship phone with one of the brightest displays on the market and wont use it?, Sound like a waste of money too. In my case, I maintain high brightness throughout the day to maximize display quality and only reduce it at night when sleeping even in dark mode.
I am pleased that there is an option that automatically adjusts the display from light to dark depending on the time of day. I prefer to use this feature rather than setting the display to dark mode or light mode all the time.
I use light mode now, I noticed when I used dark mode for long time my eyes start to feel hurt and tie after many years keep using dark mode. Better to protect my eyes for long term than saving an object
Can you please do a battery drain test on the performance profiles that one ui provides, I.E. Light vs Balanced. I personally feel like it's a gimmic but would love to see actual results. Btw I love your videos keep making these!

I want a video about which Android flagship to choose in order to leave the iPhone 15 pro max, I want a worthy replacement, after half a year I was very tired of the 15 pro max with its limitations and backwardness from the android.
I am actually pleased with the result. I have the S23 Ultra and it's set to dark mode. Battery life is great. Some apps or web pages will only show in light mode. As you said, recent screens are more efficient these days. Thank you for your hard work producing this video.
@@cw1161 that's probably true. They also need to switch to a Qualcomm modem but I have a feeling they'll probably stick with an Exynos modem so it will help battery life but not as much as I'd like to see. I'll probably get stuck having to get a Pixel 9 because unfortunately my Pixel 8 Pro probably won't last until the Pixel 10 phones, with the TSMC chip, come out.
Bro plz tell which phone i should buy S23 ultra vs S24 ultra. I need a phone with good battery life, nice network reception,. Currently i am having s21 fe exynos and i want to upgrade.
If you're interested in getting the ultimate device with a ton of fun features, s24 Ultra is a no brainer. You'll learn stuff in every corner. But if you don't care about features or interested in iOS for their looks. Then the iPhone is a very reliable device. One does tremendously more, but the other is just enough. So it's up to your preference of how you use your device & your surrounding if you often need imessage or not
Hence why I stated at the end of the video that my testing is both conclusive and inconclusive. There are too factors to consider and I don't the time or energy to test every brand at every brightness to really know
I doubt that as dark -v- light is a binary solution. I do expect higher brightness to make a bigger difference for obvious reasons, though that is countered by the fact that both would have significantly lower SOT with max brightness.
I have done them individually so go check the playlist for battery drain and just watch them. There is no point in doing them again together when there are no phones to focus on
‼️With due respect Running these loop tests doesn't make sense brother. Let me explain These are advanved LTPO panels meaning when u are running a loop test, display isn't detecting any finger touches therefore it cuts the screen refresh to 30-40hz. When you touch the display it changes refresh to 120hz again. Now coming to practical usage, most users keep touching phone in their typical usage for example when typing scrolling etc, making device to run at constant 120hz giving more battery drain So with due respect here was my point for the statement I made.
