(I had to resist giving Dehya #1) I tried to make this video more generalized to hopefully even be helpful to newer players, hence some of my time spent explaining things that may have been obvious to many players! Feel free to comment about your perspective/rankings of course, as I do think the best approach to picking a five star if you are stuck would be to look at multiple perspectives. I will also update this comment with additional info if need be. Edit: Diluc infusion actually lasts up to 12s with his passive, and he can maintain his infusion after being swapped out! That last aspect especially IS a fairly significant factor to him that I wish I had known about and mentioned this video. My bad. I dont personal think this changes my general rankings at all, though. Just makes Diluc have more aspects to his kit than I gave him credit for regarding choosing to use/invest in him!
Who I get will depend on if the selector has an expiration date. If it doesn't, I'll wait for more characters to join the standard banner. If it does, I'll get my dehya more off-field pyro for my emile
dehya#1 all the way, with her cons she actually gets to be a great character since she was designed in a way where they fix the issues with the base kit... probably because they decided late on her to be a standard character and assume constellations over time... only reason not go for dehya would be missing a standard character you simply like on a personal level, all other cons are neglectable, jean cons are great but other chars can instead do those jobs
The sensible side of me says, "get a Tighnari con, he's your main, this is the most sensible thing you can do," but the other side of me says, "get Diluc, complete standard collection." It's very stupid, I likely won't even use Diluc all that much (I am not wanting for pyro DPS) but I'm just a completionist I guess
I've been playing for over 3 years & have quite a lot of characters, but never pulled a single Qiqi. She might not be amazingly useful in game, but I'm gonna choose her - she's adorable
she's the best character in the game in the sense that she's such a universally amazing support that she can work with basically anyone (and better than bennett too)
She kinda warps the potential utility of every character in the game lol. I probably could've technically done a deep dive specifically on how Furina is utilized with each of the standard banner units. Doesn't mean she is necessary, but she changes the value of characters for sure. Personally I think its fairly safe to say shes the strongest character in the game at this point.
A cool niche mechanic that picking Dehya provides due to her passive is being essentially immune to Dragonspine's sheer cold mechanic, and that place is scary. So for more casual or just newer players, that's worth to consider.
@@fedore555 yee! you do need to ascend her past level 60 tho to unlock that passive, otherwise she just dies xD but it's not tied to her skill, she heals thru Dragonspine and underwater
I had leveled my dehya after keeping her level 20 for taking Baizhu’s place but then I decided I wanted to use her passive for underwater exploring and now she’s a character I use for fun
Getting a free 5-star is big for my wishless account and the rare wishless players out there. I'm thinking of picking either Tighnari or Mona, Tighnari is a solid spread dps and I need dps units, but Mona is a buffer with small amounts of crowd control which is also something I need, she's also hydro.
If you have a hydro unit already it's much better to choose tighnari. His burst cd is very low and you can do big hyperblooms with his skills. I am a C0 tighnari Main BTW.
@@DangerA2750B thats something to think about. i have barbara and Xinqiu for hydro and i understand xingqiu is the only hydro thats really necessary, But the Crowd control that Monas burst has might be helpful for the abyss because up to this point weve still never been gifted a free CC unit. as for elcrto to enable spread i have fischl lisa dori and beidou. my Fischl is C1 since weve been giving to copies or her for free so her electro application is ok but not great
@@HazelFlopped Nobody yet, I just haven't seen many characters that I felt were everything I've ever wanted. some Fontaine characters like Navia and Clorinde were close but I might never actually wish on my wishless account up until the very final patch of the game.
Diluc's infusion is not 8 seconds, but 12 with one of his passive talents, making it basically permanent btw if you can keep the ult going. Since it takes very little energy to do so
Well the answer for me is simple but im still here cuz why not Tighnari, haven't gotten a single one, and i would literally have been ok with losing every 50/50 to hin until i got C6. I was ready to pull him on the next chronicled wish, the quick charge play style is just it for me
I love that the video is shot in Fontaine overworld. Some of the tracks playing in the background are so, so beautiful and elevated the watching experience. I also loved the commentary and talking points made during Dehya and Tighnari's sections. I hope people don't immediately cross out Dehya due to her bad community perception, especially since she has the highest value cons that can be copped every subsequent anniversary
Dehya is one if not the most fun character to bring for open world exploration. -Cannot die -Allies won't get one shot -Badass ult and moveset -She's hot, let's be honest -You can enjoy the battle theme. I'm picking her C1, not questions asked

I think regarding diluc, not enough emphasis was put on how much better his plunge team is compared to anything else he can do, its frankly not worth it. And with plunge, he's a more than good character for abyss, like, hes actually strong So if you like diluc the character, and you're eilling to pull xianyun for him, and already have furina or ready to pull her. There is absolutely mo reason to be afraid of powerlevel and simply get him
Thats why I talked about dragonstrike, its where he can be relevant in strong! But yeah maybe I shouldve more clearly laid that out, my bad. I believe I mentioned he can be more than usable long term but he also doesn't have a ton of standout aspects relative to other pyro carry options, so imo he is solidly in the "get him if you like him" category. Which is where most units are tbf lol
@@Solunerra All dps characters except Arlechinno and Neuvilette are get them if you like them catagory. As a Diluc main all I want to say is Plunge Vape is a very very powerful playstyle and Diluc is one of the best abusers of plunge vape. And without Xianyun, medium investment Diluc is pretty weak compared to Limited banner DPS characters. But with Xianyun Diluc's damage is competitive with most Limited banner DPSs
Also relevant to mention that plunge Diluc works best with C6 Bennett, if I’m not mistaken, for the infusion? And having C6 Bennett is not a given. I’ve been playing for more than 1,5 years and had to buy my first Benny in the shop. I’m only at C1 now..

A major strength of Keqing is how she doesn’t make you commit to anything because everything about her is fast with short cool downs. If you need her to on field a little longer, sure. If you need her to jump in and out, fantastic. Aggravate makes her hit pretty hard and she’s also a good battery on double electro teams. I like using her with my Yae. She’s also good in hyperbloom and has a lot of flexibile teams.
Finally comment about Keqing, I love her aggravate quick swap team, it's so much fun and fast gameplay. I wasn't expecting it to be so fun but after max built her and her aggravate team.. it's now one of my favorite abyss team

NEW PLAYERS: 1. Tighnari - Will carry you through the entire Sumeru chapter - Hyperbloom is a really good easy starter team - Easy to build: Hyperbloom will get a lot better by just leveling up your characters, and then stacking Elemental Mastery. When you start farming artifacts(AR 45+), the majority of the team just needs the Deepwood/ Gilded domain. Recommended team: 1. Tighnari 2. Fischl, Kuki, Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Dori, Beidou 3. Xingqiu, Barbara, Ayato, Yelan, Mona, Furina, Kokomi, 4. Nahida, Sucrose, Kazuha, Yaoyao, Venti, Jean, Collei, Kirara, Kaveh, Lynette, Sayu Cons: - Would not recommend if you have Alhaitham - Better after the Mondstat/Liyue chapter 2. Jean - Doubles as both a healer and dps - Sunfire Jean with Bennett is actually a pretty good team - Very helpful through the Mondstat chapter - Boss, talent and artifact domains are available in Mondstat Cons: - Not as useful after the Mondstat chapter - Not a very good dps or healer, other characters can do better 3. Mona - Pretty good buffer, not as good as Furina 4. Keqing - Would not recommend as there are many other Electro dpses (Raiden Shogun, Clorinde, Cyno, Yae Miko, Fischl, Sethos) 5. Qiqi - Good for the Liyue chapter, especially if you keep dying early on - Many other healers (Barbara, Charlotte, Bennett, Diona, Kokomi, Jean, Baizhu, Yaoyao, Kuki, Sayu, Noelle) - Qiqi's C6 revives dead party members. Barbara's C6 also revives a dead party member (though not as efficiently). 6. Dilluc & Dehya - Would not recommend as there are many other strong Pyro characters (Arlecchino, Lyney, Yoimiya, Hu Tao, Bennett, Xiangling, Gaming, Chevruse, Yanfei) - Natlan, the Nation of Pyro is coming out soon. With that, the Pyro Archon is likely to power creep all pyro characters and change the pyro meta as a whole. That being said, I'm going to get Dehya. This is my personal opinion, if you have any more points please share! :)
Tighnari for hyperbloom? I dont think his dentro application is good and we dont receive colei for free she is way better for hyperbloom with dentro traveler, Tighnari is better in a quicken team
Jean - One of Furina's best teammates, can VV shred and heal Can cc if you lack other cc units Dehya - One of the few pyro off field applicators in the game, she's worth choosing just for that ngl
Yessssss I just lost my 50 to Dehya when I was pulling for Emilie(I was more than happy getting her) and now that we are getting a free 5 star I can now c1 her for my Emilie like it all worked so perfectly
Good dps too in my lost account i build keqing 70% cr and ~260 cd , her burst up to 140k and 30k CA and yes if u new game she gonna carry alot and there is dendro now more dmg
Diluc's A4 passive extends his burst infusion by 4s, making it 12s: since his burst cooldown is 12s and only needs 40 energy, you get 100% uptime on his pyro infusion.
Im sorry to say this but dehya glazing was real, and since this was made for newer players, getting inspired to use a character in different ways is the most important factor in picking the unit, and they might get high hopes for a unit they will end up regretting I think, shes is just as interesting a character as mona. If you really work with her on higher than standard investment then you can make her skill work, you can make her burst work and you can do carry things with her, none of which are good So for the sake of newer players, ill do some anti dehya propaganda. For the average player, dehya's damage in that short window will be so low that it wilk be the same as doing nothing, and soluna talks about clunk, dehya's burst is the most clunky thing in the game. Her skill, oh my her skill, it makes you take less damage, sure but only partially, you know what that means? Your health is not full, dehya's uptime ends, and now youre vulnerable to get one shot Dehya is to this day not optimak in a single team, lynney is literally the best chance she was gonna get and her uptime became a bug problem again. With how specific her kit is, you still need to build the team around her despite her being a “support” and even then you need high investment on at the very least artifacts but even like dolphining Please, if you saw this video and all of a sudden want dehya, do more research, the other standard characters can do cool stuff in alot of cool teams aswell, except theyre optimal in a couple teams aswell. Before yoy select dehya, be sure you know what youre getting into or else you'll regret her And if you've done your research, you like the character, then good luck. I hope you have fun with her.
Yeah. She is not great and not terrible in any role, be it damage, defensive utility or simply pyro aplication. She's a gimmicky character and that's what newer players should be aware of.
Yeah, thats why I mentioned Dehya is not gonna get you to clear the abyss the fastest magically or anything. Damage output is not the reason to choose her (at a baseline at least). I do think she has easy access to be used in many ways for early game players (with burgeon as a non ideal but workable playstyle option and her defensive utility) that I'd love to have had her early on! But that doesn't mean every player will feel the same, and I hope people don't just choose on my perspective alone. Ty for your comment!
Not sure why it's such an issue for the need to "build around a 'support'". Especially since Nilou demands to be worked around, along with Chev. And Dehya can slot in as a defensive or pyro resonance unit just fine, so she's not even always the one you work directly around. Not to mention, since new players have Kaeya and Lisa, Dehya works great with both of them in the early game. Skill based off fielders are fantastic value no matter their damage output. I guess Dehya always needs that disclaimer, but the playerbase underrates her heavily. She's pretty much the 3rd most useful standard unit after Jean and Tighnari.
tbh now that burn is actually relevant, she's one of the better options lol. and yeah playing future impact on a unit that came out in 3.5 isn't great but she really does work in teams where xiangling or thoma will fall short. plus the benefit of burn is that her ICD doesn't really matter since she applies *enough* to keep it going (kind of like yaoyao/collei/baizhu who have bad app for hyperbloom but work really well in quicken). i haven't found much use for her interrupt resist since i don't use a lot of units that need it, and the "mitigation" is really annoying because shields are just better in most cases. but even as a pure pyro applier dehya is still not the bottom of the barrel. she doesn't feel great to play in other pyro teams but at least she's off field which makes her more valuable in theater.
Tighnari brings Wenut to its knees. Also as a C6 Dehya main and an avid Jean enjoyer, I'm glad that you took the time to explain where they can fit in the current meta. Fontaine upped their power levels quite a bit, and now with a possible burning meta on the way, there might even be more improvement to namely Dehya's utility in Natlan. Btw I think the 15 minute thing doesn't apply to qiqi or barbara in the abyss, each chamber resets all skills and bursts right away, so cmiiw but her C6 cooldown is also reduced
I think qiqi shenanigans video need to happen. 1 of her ascension applies her burst effect onto the monster, where the onfield character does damage to affected monster, you heal yourself. And her melee isn't bad either. Her skill heal is similar to yaoyao burst healing whole off field team. You have to melee with her. As her my sole healer right now it's great.
Yeah I will try to do something with her eventually. Just wish she generated energy it hurts her burst utility so much... I think I cut out mentioning Fav with her likely being required for it
@@Solunerrato me, Qiqi is one of the characters that DOESN'T need their burst (like Yae, Albedo, Zhongli, Clorinde, Wriothesley, Ganyu, Wanderer, and a few more characters since they can all function perfectly without it) Qiqi is still the BEST healer (best does not mean most useful. I think Baizhu, Benny, Xianyun, and jean are more useful that qiqi) in the game due to her ascension passive basically keeping her heals up 100% of the time (no other healer can keep 100% heals up) Her c4 is also great for the "DIY boss" events (like the old hypostasis symphony) where you can purposely increase boss atk dmg by 50% (cuts it to a 30% atk increase with qiqi c4) Qiqi may not be the best, but she isn't as bad as people make her out to be She's still the best coop healer to bring if you see an arlecchino/hu tao in boss domains (cuz they sometimes die and c6 comes in clutch) Test her out. She's not that bad, but she's still VERY replaceable
@@SolunerraEvery 1.0 healer except Jean has horrific duty cycle and/or energy issues. (Bennett compensates with his 70% cap.) The next three healers; Diona, C6 Zhongli, and Kokomi; dropped that concept.
Didn't expect the shoutout for dragonstriking, thanks! I will note for Diluc plunge playstyle, if you aren't planning on using Xianyun, Furina is generally not enough for him to vaporize most hits, you'll probably have to run two hydro characters for comfort purposes. Also, it is significantly easier to dragonstrike with Diluc relative to most characters in the game. The window is 5-6 frames from what I understand, so it isn't as hard as say Noelle, whose window appears to be half of that. Still, it can be a bit difficult without a reasonable amount of practice.
Thanks, that was a great guide. I have a hypothesis I would like to share. I think some people are going to bond quite strongly with their first, especially either their first chosen/ limited character, or first standard 5* who may have saved them from their skill issues at early adventure ranks. In my case it is Diluc. I didn’t want Diluc, I lost my 50/50 when I wanted Yelan. Diluc hard carried me to AR 45. I didn’t like Hu Tao’s play style even though I love her character, Yo Mia never came out at a convenient time and I don’t like her half on kimono top and archery bandagings. I was learning how to do dragon strike when Xinyuan released. Anyway, hypothesis, players will almost always be the most invested in the first standard 5* they pull 75% of the time (unless it is Qi Qi, when it is probably 10%). Thoughts?
I dont think it’s quite that deep. Speaking from my own experience, I got Keqing as my first 5* in 1.0, and yes I still use her often in Abyss and strongbox artifacts to make her better. I’ve since worked very hard on Alhaitham (dendro Keqing lol), Tighnari, and more recently, Navia. I’ll even be getting Dehya C2 with the free 5* because I love her. But you have a point; if I hadn’t pulled Keqing as my first 5* I’m not sure I’d play her at all right now.

My first 5* was Diluc and while I literally never use him anymore he still has a full build no one else is allowed to take pieces from lol, plus Im notably less upset about losing to him- like I got his C1 recently and instead of staring with resentment like I do with other standards I was lowkey exited to see my first main get an upgrade after literal years
@@江建国-p9q I have a C2 or 3 Keqing at just level 80, talents might be 6-8-8. I like her, I like her play style, I am trying to see if I can get used to her in an aggravate team. I just noticed this pattern recently, my stand banner 5*s seem to be on the bench more than your first. It’s not the same as the thing I do where I don’t fully use a new limited banner 5* where I do bench them when I think I might have difficult combat or want to get through something quickly. I also think people do this to some extent with the 1.0 OP four stars. My fav is Fischl……..
My first was Diluc and I have done him dirty 😅 he carried me for years and I refuse to triple crown him since I have other favourites I want to triple crown first. But I do have his alt skin and he’s the first one I picked to attempt to get his echo in the imaginary theatre so 🤔
One thing about Keqing ia that she is extremely flexible when it comes to rotations Unlike most Electro dps, you can freely swap to and from her and any point. Plus, even if you dont swap out of her she only has a 1-2 seccond cooldown on her infusion (or 0 if you use TF) Plus, since both her and Fishl have simmilar cooldowns, you could do essencially 15 sec rotations with her which is pretty neat Of course, characters like Clorinde or Cyno have a much higher damage ceiling, but Keqing has just really good QoL compared to them (i sometimes miss it when I'm playing Clorinde and I have suffer because of her cooldowns and not being able to swap out)
Also about Clorinde. Her ES doesn't have any Poise at all. Even impale does not have the IFrame too. But everyone hates Shielders for the worst reasons about damages only.
The Best pick imo especially for new players are: 1. Jean - she's the most flexible here, she can be a dps, cleanse, full heal, res shred 2.Diluc - great dps early to mid, still good at endgame but you'll probably have better dps by then 3. Mona - she's still decent but a bit hard to play at early since you really need that ER to cast her ult more often since that's the most useful skill of hers I didn't add the others especially the ones in Sumeru since their mats are in Sumeru and new players won't be there for a while
I wish more people focused on/cared about the non-combat Passive Talents. Admittedly they vary in usefulness, so I'll rank them from imo least to most useful, particularly for a new player whom this may be their first 5 Star. 1: Jean just has some bonus effect when cooking food or something 2: Dehya increases party movement speed a bit, only during in-game daylight hours. 3: Keqing completes Expeditions at a faster rate. 4: Diluc refunds some Materials when you craft Claymores. 5: Qiqi & Tighnari show Regional Item locations on the map (Liyue & Sumeru respectively) 6: Mona can refund Weapon Ascension Materials when crafting higher tier mats, which can save you a lot of domain farming in the long run, especially when you've just started and you have *zero* weapons built.
Tbf diluc's is the only one that is unique and its minimally useful. Every other unit's passive can also be found on a 4 star with a few of them being permanently available for free.
as a Diluc main and understanding his mechanic well his C6 is BROKEN since his NAs are so strong on their own when infused with pyro from Bennett ring or his burst so yea definitely going for Diluc. good video! helped me finalize my decision
Regarding Mona C6: This odd playstyle is further enhanced by a few other things, which I will list below. Catalyst: Wine and Song This actually works for her and seems like it was made for her specifically. Its ER mainstat is good for her due to her passive, and it specifically says that it also applies the buff when Alternate Sprints are used. Teammates that have off-field damage can be good too. I use Mona as a sub-DPS and crystallize generator in my Navia team. Pop Navia's burst, swap to Mona and alt sprint into normal attack repeatedly. You will charge Mona's burst and generate crystallize for Navia at the same time. It's very efficient.
I love your description of Dehya, people are too pissed on her damage. I like and use her because she can offer utility/tankyness and some extra damage on top on field when her teammates don't stick around (I'm using her on my burning Emilie team with Bennet, Furina and Emilie with good results)
Starting with Jean almost immediately was such a blessing because she was so helpful at the start. Not to mention there were no guaranteed anemo characters if you switched Travellers element. The heals, okay damage for a normal attack on weak enemies at the start, just fun ability to use.
i already know i’ll be getting qiqi for the sole reason of putting her next to baizhu in my teapot. is she useful? no. will i ever build her? probably not. but having the two near each other makes me happy
Gotta love themes. I was going for Lyney to complete the hearth team but gave up since I was on guarentee for Furina again. (No regrets pulling Arlecchino but I already have Hu Tao... I regret Hu Tao)

Getting Keqing was the one and only time I wasn’t disappointed losing the 50-50. And I have lost every 50-50 on every banner I’ve wished on (including after returning to the game from an 8 month hiatus. I swear my account is marked). Keqing was a game changer for me because of her AOE ultimate in hyperbloom can just wipe smaller and some larger enemies off the field in one go. She also shines with fishl in aggravate. Her cons may not be game changing but I’ll take them anyway since I enjoy playing her so much. Overall though, I think the free 5 star thing would be way more impactful if they were giving us one newer limited 5 star character or a smaller selection of less recent limited 5 stars, instead of a selection of standard ones. That would be way more exciting.
Imo it’s weird not to mention omen freeze extensions when talking about Mona. It helps negate the short uptime that her buff has and makes her useful in freeze teams.
@@RoheySaysHey Would like to say that her value in a freeze team depends on who your Cryo carry is. Namely if you use Wriothesley or a claymore user as your carry (not sure why you would but still) she is significantly worse than Kokomi/Furina because shatter (triggered via claymore NA’s/Wrio CA) will break the freeze, deal poise damage, and as such cause the omen buff to start its timer. If you aren’t using those aforementioned cryo units, and are willing to play sustainless/Prototype Amber sustain, then she will be a great alternative to Kokomi/Furina in the event you either don’t want them or are using them in other teams

Im currently considering either Tighnari and Dehya's C2. Tighnari is the only standard 5 star I don't have, and I'm a Ganyu main, so I obviously like the charged shot playstyle. I already have Dehya at C1, so I'm mostly considering her to play burn-melt Ganyu. I have tried playing burn-melt Ganyu with my Dehya right now and I hate how much down time there is, so another 6 seconds would probably make that one of my most used teams.
@@yunexxe I already have 10+ 5 stars that I rarely use, and Im uncertain if Tighnari would end up as another of those. I also dont really love playing burn-melt, and I mostly use it instead of a normal melt Ganyu team with Zhongli and Xiangling if I really need Zhongli for my other abyss team.
Definitely getting Dehya’s c2 for her skill uptime (Even on my main account I’m still getting her at c0 just cuz she’s my favorite standard unit and also the only one I don’t own on that account)
C2 Dehya! C2 Dehya! I'm honestly excited. Longer uptime and one step closer to C6! (maybe-eventually) For all the mockery people like to throw at her, she's the only standard character I actually use and I really like her. Getting her C1 earlier this year was the one and only lost 50/50 that actually felt like a win.
I farm for keqing for a very long time, but she never came home, then i obtain yae, in her sumeru rerun, then raiden in her fontaine rerun, i got a dps sara, and i recently got and built chlorinde, but you know.....she is one of the two reason why i play genshin( the other one is childe), so when i heard that we will get a free standard five star, i imediately feel the "storm that is approaching", she will be mine and we will "bury the light" of the enemies together
Jean c2 is pretty good for catalyst characters, especially Wanderer. I like to play Wanderer in a Faruzan Furina Jean team, and Jean c2 feels good in this team. Atk% speed on Wanderer is genuinely good that's why he has atk speed on his artifact, c1 and weapon. It's a very valuable stat on him bc he has no hit stop. And especially when you play him without a Sheild because more normal attacks=more dodges. C4 is also very good because Wanderer's normal attacks does not push enemies away too much, so it's easier to keep them inside Jean's field. C6 is not bad too because you can avoid getting your Wanderer one shotted which does happens if you play him without a shield. Jean is overall a pretty good character for Wanderer, with Jean Wanderer can benefit from Furina and also it's easy to stay in Jean's field with Wanderer, and Jean cons actually helps a lot. This team is as good as the Bennet Zhongli team and it only gets better if you get more Jean constallations. Also c2 Jean is beneficial for Wriothesley's freeze team too, I often pick c2 Jean over Xianyun in his team. Overall I think Jean and her cons are pretty worth it if you like playing Wanderer.
That team is also my favorite team. I don’t have it yet but Jean C4 sounds crazy. (Definitely getting a con with my free char.) Because not only is it 40% shred for Wanderer, it’s ALSO 40% shred for Faruzan. Her damage is non-negligible. Slap on Furina and EVERYONE gets a bunch of DMG%. Not to mention, even though Jean’s damage isn’t the highest, Faruzan is supporting her with shred and anemo DMG. Everyone is buffing each other. ToTM on Faruzan, Noblesse Furina, Song of Days Past Jean. Bonus points if you slap on Freedom Sworn on Jean. It’s a great 3 char core. Swap out Furina with Bennett for Sunfire to shred shields. I like to swap Furina out for ADC Kazuha in overworld for energy and CC.

Oddly enough, you have convinced me to get Dehya C2! I already have every standard character at C2 and unfortunately Jean at C6. I'll have fun creating golden troupe Dehya with C2!
Oddly enough Diluc's C2 activates from several things. Like if you're in co-op a Wanderer can trigger it if they activate their skill next to you. It's honestly kinda funny.
Keqing was the first 5 star I wanted. I remember when I had no common sense for genshin, I used to use all my wishes on the standard banner which looking back was stupid but hey, they say pull for you want. So I’m going for keqing

also of note, jeans monster charged attack and anemo being kinda neutral + her having really good modifiers for her skill / burst mean shes kind of never bad, and for higher investment she works incredibly well with infusion, especially c6 bennet because her teams become functionally immortal between his healing and her increased attack for healing. add furina and a second hydro and she can boss exceptionally well. edit: i missed your end of the jean constellation section touching on this, nice.
oh yeah, i failed to adequately explain it, but i claimed the artifact selector would be good for infusion comps during the 5.0 livestream watch. I was thinking specifically veridescent infusion comp goblets because they provide the most to their team whilst potentially outpreforming other element% sets in single target scenarios due to the ease of debuff and buffing what anemo damage the infusee happens to deal.
also, this is cranking the investment up to eleven, but elegy c6 diona + rosaria (and also therefore cryo resonance) is nearly competitive with furina + tenacity kokomi as as a matter of sheer stats provided to monster god jean, but honestly sayu is better because you can control the reactions better with her swing speed / early cancel charged attacks, wheras jean requiring an initial hit to get to her charged attack makes it kind of rng.

I'm just split between Tighnari and Jean. Active roster DPS wise, I already have Neuvi, Alhaitham, Raiden, Wanderer, even Nahida sometimes. Anemo, wise, my inseparable Wanderer and Faruzan, Kazuha being critical members to their teams. Healers wise, Jean's unique selling point is that she's an Anemo healer + CC. She'd make a meaningful teammate in many team comps in addition to Furina since healer wise, I mainly rely on Kokomi and Yaoyao although I have several other healers in my reserve list except for Baizhu. Think I'll be more inclined towards Jean than Tighnari, but Tighnari does look fun.

For mona, you forgot the only niche she’s recommended in and she does a well damn job at that being freeze variants, mostly Ayaka freeze. The reason due to her overly complicated burst technical wise but can be simply understood as so: Freeze reaction can lengthen Mona’s dmg buff duration. For people that are interested in how this works. Basically when Mona uses elemental burst, she applies 2 parts instead of 1: Illusory bubble and Omen status. Omen gives you dmg buff based on Mona’s talent level. And if you burst Illusory bubble, the timer for Omen’s buff begins up to 5s. A good thing to note is Omen buff was already applied at the time elemental burst was casted, so any dmg that is applied before Illusory bubble is bursted still gains the dmg% buff. Any attack to the enemies affected by Illusory bubble after Mona’s elemental burst was casted will burst the bubble and starts the timer subsequently. However there are occasions where the states of the enemies interfere with this mechanic. And for the sake of this comment not being too long, I will just say frozen enemies being one of them.
I get what your saying about her supportive role and its great. But her ult does nothing for that except "reset" her skill while taking up a similar amount of on field time as a carry while not doing carry damage. Edit: talking about Dehya

@@starbandit1851 nope never gonna happen. There is a law in china where the characters that were launched as limited on release can't be put on standard. That's considered fraud. So the only characters that will be added are future characters. Now it is possible that they may add some random character of random region anytime. Imagine of Xilonen ends up in standard banner lol coz geo is still missing
I am a huge fan of Dehya, I think she has value, and I will be picking her C1 from my selector. However, I feel compelled to point out that the reason her kit is perceived as bad is absolutely not because people are mistaking her for a DPS. Her support capabilities are ALSO extremely, and in many cases confusingly, bad. Damage redirection is strictly worse than damage reduction, which Xingqiu and Beidou have provided from day 1. Her skill uptime is terrible - worse than 4* like Kuki, for example. Her burst does not refresh her skill duration even though previous characters like Fischl's and Kokomi's do. They even went out of their way to give her normal attacks the lowest scaling of ANY claymore in the game - lower than the likes of Sayu and Dori, who were already not DPS characters. In short, she is a step down from previously established norms in the game in almost every regard. She also has several aspects to her kit that are janky or straight up dysfunctional - the burst being canceled by jumping, hitbox issues with her skill, and the auto-targeting during her burst is insanity.
even tho i will pick tighnari i still this qiqi is underrated and not explained well, one thing you didnt mention that is a pretty usefull thing of qiqi is her burst, wich marks nearby enemys with a sigil, when a character dmgs an enemy with that sigil the character will be healed, if your qiqi is well invested and paired with neuvillete his heal will barely go down, still you should choose whoever you want i am just giving info on something that wasnt talked about and its pretty important in her kit
Still don’t see how that counters the major downsides he mentioned. And the way better (4*) alternatives available. Unless you really like her, I don’t see any reason to recommend her.
I wanna get all the standard characters before even considering their constellations, so the freebie choice for me is down to either Tighnari or Deyha. As for who it'll be... I think I'm gonna wait and see what happens when I pull for Kinich - if I get him, I'll snag Deyha for the off-field pyro application to facilitate burning reactions. If I lose the 50/50, and furthermore don't get either of the Sumeru characters, then I'll pick Tighnari so that I finally have a Dendro dps.
My queen Kequing will be coming home at long last If I didn't have Deyha, I'd get Deyha. She's geniunely invaluable on my Lyney and Neuvillete teams. Not to mention....she's Deyha. I love Deyha Jean is the only other standard I don't have, but I'll get her next time
The problem is that Dehya exist in a game with shielder and absurd healers. If she was in something like zenless zone zero where we have no healer, and tiny shield, she'd feel at home. But in Genshin she just feels not great. Thoma and Xinyan exist for pyro off field and shields.
Yeah thats a fair perspective. I think I actually cut out some yapping about how I think shes much better designed than many of Genshins healers/shielders are because they do so well at keeping you alive they are generally just kinda OP. Most games dont let you have so much access to things preventing death, as that is usually the failure mechanism. OP healers/shielders instead make the failure mechanism in the game be a DPS check with a time trial, which is not as fun of a baseline to approach playing the game from for me, personally. Hence part of why I think I embrace Dehyas kit so much. I oftentimes dont mind dying in Genshin, but I do notice being more tanky with Dehya in a team, especially in conjunction with Dehya + proto amber holder (usually Nahida). So I still like the highly unique combination that is her entire kit package

I would say first pick jean or tignari, if you already have them pick diluc if you have xiangyun or mona if you need hydro characters. Then pick deyha if you play her dps and want her c1 or deyha c2 if you play her in a support role. Finally go for jean, tignari, and deyha cons cause they are the best).
Imo, it goes by : 1 Jean (Anemo = free win. Plus she have an amazing interaction with bennett) 2 Mona (Hydro off field are rare, and for a new player, she fill a lot of needs. Book wearer, high hydro on field and some more off field, big dmg for bursts, overworld mobility... Yeah, you can dump her when you gain kokomi, or furina. But if their rereuns happen between 2 wanted character, you are set.) 3 Tighnari (cuz he have better con than keqing, so, unlocking him help you yo have his better constelation sooner. Plus his BiS set/F2P weapon are very good to farm/easy to have.. If it wasn't for that, he would be tie with keqing) 4 keqing (The needs of TF who suck to farm + need to have 5 Lion's roar VS 5 slingshoot + gilded.... Yeaaaah. Otherwise, very similar) 5 Dehya (her interuption res still feel like ass) 6 qiqi (Yeah, on top of diluc only cause diluc have like 4 competitor now, and qiqi got furina'd.) 7 Diluc (Btw, his C4 is a bait, it's like, turbo bad)
As someone who uses and plays both Keqing and Dehya often, I would rank Dehya higher. Interrupt res and off-field Pyro are decent compared to Keqing’s damage ratios which just fall further and further behind newer units. But the nail in the coffin is that Dehya can work as an off-fielder and Keqing can’t, which means almost any given account will get a lot more use out of Dehya than Keqing. The exception is if the account has 1 or 0 on-field DPS, then Keqing has a lot of value.
Probably good I didnt say anything meaningful about C4 Diluc then lol. He definitely doesnt have very good constellations but they at least have interesting ideas in them
@@江建国-p9q I was arguing about that, but to be fair, I think that for new commers, Keqing is easyier to build, for 3 reason : Team comp : Keqing is simple and straight forward Dendro (why not dendro MC), fischl, Anemo. Gaining power in her team is once again very easy. You craft Sapwood, you go for sucrose, then Kazuha, why not Iron sting cause your luck sucks and Lion's roar don't want to come, maybe strong box some TF items to stop using gladiator on her ? While Dehya can be hard to build a team around. Her not working with Xingqiu can be a HUGE breaking point for a lot of people. plus, her constelation make building her kinda painfull ? "220 ER at C0 ? oof, okay, I guess i go favge and emblem. Oh, C1, okay, i will swap sands. And now C2, I need less ER now.". She needs way more time than other units because of the way she grow verticaly. Unreliable weapon : As Navia says, "carrying an unreliable weapon is worse than not carrying one at all". Her resistance to interuption can feel pretty bad. Like, fucking frustrating. I don't even want to talk about the time i think it was a good idea to play wanderer with her. I need to check on Keqing mains how much her buff is weak in poise, but i think lower than Xingqiu ? idk. That plus her up time. Her buff is her 60% of the time. When you get keqing, you know what you get. A quick-swapy electro DPS. Competitors : Electro on field DPS are not too many. I mean, yes you have raiden and cyno. But Raiden is usually more of a EM bot nowadays, and cyno humongus uptime can kill him for some content. Keqing is still on the top of the chain in that category. For Dehya, well... as a DPS even more in low con. Yup. No. and as an EM bot/pyro res, I think thomas is better ? He have a very good shield, good pyro uptime. He just don't have acces to Totm. BUT. Dehya have a better DPS. but if you want a good off field DPS i think you should go for xiangling ? That's why it's hard for me to put dehya anything but below Keqing. Pyro is a pretty complete element, and electro still have some room to improvement, thus making keqing feels more relevent, still at this day,. But, i gotta admit, new commers aside, I think dehya win, her con are way more impactfull like a lot C0 to C6 keqing = 33% dmg increase. Dehya achieve that only by her C1. C0 to C6 ? 200% increase. It's insane, and she have some interesting team to make. But those team, if you want to do them, you need some other characters. :)

Fun fact: Barbara c6 can actually full hp a dead character but.. Qiqi is just a machine you need to have her c6 tho but when you have qll of your characters dead and shes the only one alive and you have her burst you can heal all of your characters full hp! Even tho their dead their alive now so i recommend qiqi c6 if your rlly bad at boss fights thats the only reason why shes always on my team.
Listened to this guide even knowing full well im just going to get Deyha. I have all the standard banner characters i want but her lol. For all her clunk, I'm getting and building her. The constellation infor was super helpful for consideration though :)

I have some thoughts (little novel) to share on Diluc and Mona as they're my favorite two standard 5* (so bias be there but hey) I currently have Diluc triple crown c3 and Mona burst crown (9, 12, 13) c5 (she evaded me the longest and then came haunting me, not that I'm mad i love her) xD Diluc actually plays a little different from other claymore users. alternating normals and skill actually has him attack much faster than say Eula for example. If you usually don't like slow claymore style, he kinda goes against that, his attacks are very fast. On top of that with alternating skill and normals it actually helps him with the usual ICD issues allowing him to vaporize almost all his hits which can be very satisfying. I am not gonna say he's insanely strong but he has a very unique gameplay to this day that you don't rly get from any other character. Attacks still feel heavy due to the claymore yet fast due to the alternating. also a huge bonus: He is one of the few chars that you can swap out without loosing his infusion! The ult pushing enemies is portrayed as a negative but if you're using him with yelan you can easily follow up and catch up getting a good vape on her skill and now your enemies are actually grouped without using an anemo unit. It's super practical, if you keep this in mind. Initial burst hit is also a pretty great nuke xd He can also be used in burgeon and overloaded and mono pyro for some alternative options. Obviously he isn't really the best at any of these but he WORKS and he works well. So if you enjoy his playstyle and don't have him? Go for it. Sure there's better options but you don't need the best options, personally i go for ones that work that i enjoy playing. The constellations: yes the combo not interrupting is absolutely great cause you'll actually use the skill every second or third hit depending on how you play him. meaning you can now actually get his higher normal multipliers too ! AAaand moving on to Mona. this was somehow left out here but her ult does an insane amount of dmg itsself if u vape it? xD I use Mona on Navia teams to buff her skill while getting a mona nuke on benny ult it's so fun. My fave team is gotta be putting her on vape nilou with nilou mona benny xiangling it's just a nuke collection team. (do note as a nilou main my nilou is c6 r2 but it worked fine with c1r1 as well xd) Also Soluna, you hover over this passive but don't mention it. She's not just attack scaling. She's the only char other than raiden who is actually ER scaling making Emblem set absolutely insane on her for burst spam teams!! I think there's tons of fun teams for Mona. I saw yours is lvl 40 so idk how far you explored her kit on a different acc perhaps but i highly recommend leveling and building her she's super fun. On mona constellations? C1 is straightforward, c2 actually yes you do just spam normals, the 20% comes up regularly enough to be worth it. And yes it's clunky to play her on field cause of this c2 cause she does do the charged animation and it's easy to accidentally interrupt it cause you weren't expecting it and then you don't get the dmg from it. with her sprint as well, on field mona is GOOD but CLUNKY xD C6 i don't have but i heard from someone who has it that it's essentially not worth using which yea i get that. perhaps you can set up some ca nukes with that? but why do that when you have her burst nuke already. I'd put her c1 c3 and c4 in S tier (Actually affecting how u usually use her) her c2 and c6 in G tier for Gimmicks her c5 in C tier kinda mid. It's also called mockery of fortuna so don't jinx bad luck ok? Personally tempted for Mona but i don't wanna jinx c7 on the next standard/ 50/50 so it'll be Dehya c1 time for me, probably the one that changes most gameplay wise of the consts I'm currently at between the 4 standard chars that i do use (4th one being Keqing)
it is but dehya is also the most versatile standard character so i see why. She can be used as a dps, off field applicator and support for interrupt resistance. Granted, she is not particularly good at any of those things, but the versatility is definitely valuable especially for new players that won't have too many characters. Being stuck to using tighnari, diluc or keqing in their respective teams, or using freeze teams with mona, or basically requiring furina for jean are all very restrictive.
The real depressing part of dehya is they copy pasted her kit to fu xuan in HSR but fixed all the problems. As she is now every time i use her i feel like im fighting with my hands tied. Her c1 and 2 should have just been part of her base kit.

@@polaroyde if you've already grinded for the materials for qiqi, its worth it to invest into her--overall, qiqi's not a bad character to pull, and as her burst isn't that useful anyways its not that big of a deal that she doesn't generate energy a thing to note is that her healing scales off of her attack (not hp) and when her skill is active, her normal attacks heal the party id say that having another character is better than having the same character with a slight buff, especially when you've already grinded for that character

I chose keqing cause I've been trying to get her back and when I first got on an old account when I first played genshin she became a favorite lol and once I get the right stuff my team will be pretty strong
I really appreciate the part on constellations. That's where I am at (I have all the standard 5* characters already). My choices are (in no particular order) the following upgrades: 1. Jean C3 2. Diluc C4 3. Qiqi C2 4. Mona C5 5. Keqing C3 6. Tighnari C2 7. Dehya C1 Diluc is my favorite of the bunch, and I do play him on a plunge team, but I don't know if his C4 to C6 is really going to improve my numbers. It would scale my talents. Leaning towards Keqing, because she gets a damage boost and I actually play her on an aggravate team - in fact, that was my floor 12 second half team this time: Keqing, Fischl, Yao Yao, Zhongli.
As someone who never built their Dehya and is probably going to get her c1 with the selector, I would really like to see that hour-long Dehya discussion you said that you had in you. I do feel like she's subtly gotten better with characters such as Furina, Wriothesly, Neuvilette and Emilie all having team options that include Dehya in some form or another and with Burning setting up Forward Vaporize and Reverse Melt - it feels like Natlan will be more amenable to Dehya than Sumeru ever was. What are your favorite teams to play Dehya on? What artifact sets and weapons do you have invested for her? Any interesting quirks about those teams that are worth talking about? What would the ideal team archetype or teammate look like for her in the future?
i play tighnari a lot, so its probably smarter to get his c2… but man.. i’ve wanted dehya for so long 😭 i love her as a character, but i also love how many unique teams she can make 🥹💕🩷 so maybe not the smartest decision, but i cant deny our wonderful flame mane 🔥
Feel like you underrated Mona's dash, which is the fastest in the game and just feels great for zipping around and exploring (especially when paired with a character with fast skill movement like Yelan, Wanderer, or Sayu). Also Keqing's teleport is really useful for exploring, especially in areas with irregular surfaces that are hard to climb.
Your Deyha Sigewinne team inspired me to make my own. I just got 36 stars on the current Abyss with Yaoyao/Deyha/Furina/Kazuha. Yaoyao and Deyha's bursts also alternate really well and the burgeons and forward vapes are constant when it gets going. Deyha is such a slept on unit and since I've started using her I've been having so much fun with this game. Many thanks Mr. Soluna for the creativity and experimentation you do in this game! Now if only I can get Jean on a 50/50 loss or standard banner before/during 5.0 so I can have no regrets getting Deyha c1
You're half right about Diluc's c6 - two other characters, Itto and Wriothesley (coincidentally my 2 most anticipated 5 stars) both have a clause that their skill and dash dont interrupt their normal attack combo, but Diluc is the only character who unlocks that functionality through cons. I can kinda see why, as Itto gains 2 CA stacks from N4 and Wrio gets his empowered CA from N5 when he's c1, so both have an incentive to reach the end of their normal attack string where Diluc doesnt. He just gets it cuz its cool.
random but at 33:46 you talk about dilucs c6 being able to cast his E without interrupting his NA sequence, but hes not the only one! Itto can do that too, either with a dash or using Ushi imo its part of what makes him feel good to play for me
IMO, Jean is the safest pick for beginners. Mona looks great too but they will get confused. Tighnari, Keqing and Diluc are ok but beginners will value defense more than DPS. Dehya looks ok as a defensive option but the 4 star with shields can be more reliable, consistent, or intuitive.
17:22 going from criticizing unit slander a couple minutes ago to now slandering xiangling's er If you actually let guoba hit, and but her on fav. She definitely wont need 350 er I ran ger in the first half last abyss with instructors cuz that side also gives some white particles but in return, guoba doesnt always hit. And dehya's uptime issues will never leave her Literal xinyan is better than her with mualani if we wanna go there. Like, dehya can be used as a support, she's not a good support. Also, I think your investment with C1 and then C2 furina is just enough to make her upside noticable. At standard investment where not only is damage lower, but fights go on for longer and dying is a bigger issue, her upsides get completely hidden in the clunk and uptime issues

I tried to make this video more generalized to hopefully even be helpful to newer players, hence some of my time spent explaining things that may have been obvious to many players! Feel free to comment about your perspective/rankings of course, as I do think the best approach to picking a five star if you are stuck would be to look at multiple perspectives. I will also update this comment with additional info if need be.
Edit: Diluc infusion actually lasts up to 12s with his passive, and he can maintain his infusion after being swapped out! That last aspect especially IS a fairly significant factor to him that I wish I had known about and mentioned this video. My bad. I dont personal think this changes my general rankings at all, though. Just makes Diluc have more aspects to his kit than I gave him credit for regarding choosing to use/invest in him!
Who I get will depend on if the selector has an expiration date. If it doesn't, I'll wait for more characters to join the standard banner. If it does, I'll get my dehya more off-field pyro for my emile

dehya#1 all the way, with her cons she actually gets to be a great character since she was designed in a way where they fix the issues with the base kit... probably because they decided late on her to be a standard character and assume constellations over time...
only reason not go for dehya would be missing a standard character you simply like on a personal level, all other cons are neglectable, jean cons are great but other chars can instead do those jobs
To be honest I'll likely use it to get dehya if I haven't gotten her before then and even then I mind still go with her for the con.

She kinda warps the potential utility of every character in the game lol. I probably could've technically done a deep dive specifically on how Furina is utilized with each of the standard banner units. Doesn't mean she is necessary, but she changes the value of characters for sure.
Personally I think its fairly safe to say shes the strongest character in the game at this point.

A cool niche mechanic that picking Dehya provides due to her passive is being essentially immune to Dragonspine's sheer cold mechanic, and that place is scary. So for more casual or just newer players, that's worth to consider.

Getting a free 5-star is big for my wishless account and the rare wishless players out there. I'm thinking of picking either Tighnari or Mona, Tighnari is a solid spread dps and I need dps units, but Mona is a buffer with small amounts of crowd control which is also something I need, she's also hydro.

If you have a hydro unit already it's much better to choose tighnari. His burst cd is very low and you can do big hyperblooms with his skills. I am a C0 tighnari Main BTW.

@@DangerA2750B thats something to think about. i have barbara and Xinqiu for hydro and i understand xingqiu is the only hydro thats really necessary, But the Crowd control that Monas burst has might be helpful for the abyss because up to this point weve still never been gifted a free CC unit. as for elcrto to enable spread i have fischl lisa dori and beidou. my Fischl is C1 since weve been giving to copies or her for free so her electro application is ok but not great

Diluc's infusion is not 8 seconds, but 12 with one of his passive talents, making it basically permanent btw if you can keep the ult going. Since it takes very little energy to do so
Whats also cool about his infusion is that it lasts even when you swap characters.

I love that the video is shot in Fontaine overworld. Some of the tracks playing in the background are so, so beautiful and elevated the watching experience. I also loved the commentary and talking points made during Dehya and Tighnari's sections. I hope people don't immediately cross out Dehya due to her bad community perception, especially since she has the highest value cons that can be copped every subsequent anniversary

I think regarding diluc, not enough emphasis was put on how much better his plunge team is compared to anything else he can do, its frankly not worth it. And with plunge, he's a more than good character for abyss, like, hes actually strong
So if you like diluc the character, and you're eilling to pull xianyun for him, and already have furina or ready to pull her. There is absolutely mo reason to be afraid of powerlevel and simply get him
Thats why I talked about dragonstrike, its where he can be relevant in strong! But yeah maybe I shouldve more clearly laid that out, my bad. I believe I mentioned he can be more than usable long term but he also doesn't have a ton of standout aspects relative to other pyro carry options, so imo he is solidly in the "get him if you like him" category. Which is where most units are tbf lol
@@Solunerra All dps characters except Arlechinno and Neuvilette are get them if you like them catagory. As a Diluc main all I want to say is Plunge Vape is a very very powerful playstyle and Diluc is one of the best abusers of plunge vape. And without Xianyun, medium investment Diluc is pretty weak compared to Limited banner DPS characters. But with Xianyun Diluc's damage is competitive with most Limited banner DPSs
Also relevant to mention that plunge Diluc works best with C6 Bennett, if I’m not mistaken, for the infusion? And having C6 Bennett is not a given. I’ve been playing for more than 1,5 years and had to buy my first Benny in the shop. I’m only at C1 now..

Do you know when Furina will be available next?
A major strength of Keqing is how she doesn’t make you commit to anything because everything about her is fast with short cool downs. If you need her to on field a little longer, sure. If you need her to jump in and out, fantastic. Aggravate makes her hit pretty hard and she’s also a good battery on double electro teams. I like using her with my Yae.
She’s also good in hyperbloom and has a lot of flexibile teams.
Finally comment about Keqing, I love her aggravate quick swap team, it's so much fun and fast gameplay. I wasn't expecting it to be so fun but after max built her and her aggravate team.. it's now one of my favorite abyss team
Her energy requirements are so low that she usually will have her burst up before her cooldowns are even done

- Easy to build: Hyperbloom will get a lot better by just leveling up your characters, and then stacking Elemental Mastery. When you start farming artifacts(AR 45+), the majority of the team just needs the Deepwood/ Gilded domain.

2. Fischl, Kuki, Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Dori, Beidou

- Qiqi's C6 revives dead party members. Barbara's C6 also revives a dead party member (though not as efficiently).
6. Dilluc & Dehya
- Would not recommend as there are many other strong Pyro characters (Arlecchino, Lyney, Yoimiya, Hu Tao, Bennett, Xiangling, Gaming, Chevruse, Yanfei)
- Natlan, the Nation of Pyro is coming out soon. With that, the Pyro Archon is likely to power creep all pyro characters and change the pyro meta as a whole.
That being said, I'm going to get Dehya. This is my personal opinion, if you have any more points please share! :)

Diluc's A4 passive extends his burst infusion by 4s, making it 12s: since his burst cooldown is 12s and only needs 40 energy, you get 100% uptime on his pyro infusion.
Im sorry to say this but dehya glazing was real, and since this was made for newer players, getting inspired to use a character in different ways is the most important factor in picking the unit, and they might get high hopes for a unit they will end up regretting
I think, shes is just as interesting a character as mona. If you really work with her on higher than standard investment then you can make her skill work, you can make her burst work and you can do carry things with her, none of which are good
So for the sake of newer players, ill do some anti dehya propaganda. For the average player, dehya's damage in that short window will be so low that it wilk be the same as doing nothing, and soluna talks about clunk, dehya's burst is the most clunky thing in the game. Her skill, oh my her skill, it makes you take less damage, sure but only partially, you know what that means? Your health is not full, dehya's uptime ends, and now youre vulnerable to get one shot
Dehya is to this day not optimak in a single team, lynney is literally the best chance she was gonna get and her uptime became a bug problem again. With how specific her kit is, you still need to build the team around her despite her being a “support” and even then you need high investment on at the very least artifacts but even like dolphining
Please, if you saw this video and all of a sudden want dehya, do more research, the other standard characters can do cool stuff in alot of cool teams aswell, except theyre optimal in a couple teams aswell. Before yoy select dehya, be sure you know what youre getting into or else you'll regret her

Yeah. She is not great and not terrible in any role, be it damage, defensive utility or simply pyro aplication. She's a gimmicky character and that's what newer players should be aware of.
Yeah, thats why I mentioned Dehya is not gonna get you to clear the abyss the fastest magically or anything. Damage output is not the reason to choose her (at a baseline at least). I do think she has easy access to be used in many ways for early game players (with burgeon as a non ideal but workable playstyle option and her defensive utility) that I'd love to have had her early on! But that doesn't mean every player will feel the same, and I hope people don't just choose on my perspective alone. Ty for your comment!

Not sure why it's such an issue for the need to "build around a 'support'". Especially since Nilou demands to be worked around, along with Chev. And Dehya can slot in as a defensive or pyro resonance unit just fine, so she's not even always the one you work directly around.
Not to mention, since new players have Kaeya and Lisa, Dehya works great with both of them in the early game. Skill based off fielders are fantastic value no matter their damage output.
I guess Dehya always needs that disclaimer, but the playerbase underrates her heavily. She's pretty much the 3rd most useful standard unit after Jean and Tighnari.
tbh now that burn is actually relevant, she's one of the better options lol. and yeah playing future impact on a unit that came out in 3.5 isn't great but she really does work in teams where xiangling or thoma will fall short. plus the benefit of burn is that her ICD doesn't really matter since she applies *enough* to keep it going (kind of like yaoyao/collei/baizhu who have bad app for hyperbloom but work really well in quicken).
i haven't found much use for her interrupt resist since i don't use a lot of units that need it, and the "mitigation" is really annoying because shields are just better in most cases. but even as a pure pyro applier dehya is still not the bottom of the barrel.
she doesn't feel great to play in other pyro teams but at least she's off field which makes her more valuable in theater.

Also as a C6 Dehya main and an avid Jean enjoyer, I'm glad that you took the time to explain where they can fit in the current meta. Fontaine upped their power levels quite a bit, and now with a possible burning meta on the way, there might even be more improvement to namely Dehya's utility in Natlan.

Btw I think the 15 minute thing doesn't apply to qiqi or barbara in the abyss, each chamber resets all skills and bursts right away, so cmiiw but her C6 cooldown is also reduced

I think qiqi shenanigans video need to happen. 1 of her ascension applies her burst effect onto the monster, where the onfield character does damage to affected monster, you heal yourself. And her melee isn't bad either. Her skill heal is similar to yaoyao burst healing whole off field team. You have to melee with her. As her my sole healer right now it's great.
Yeah I will try to do something with her eventually. Just wish she generated energy it hurts her burst utility so much... I think I cut out mentioning Fav with her likely being required for it
@@Solunerrato me, Qiqi is one of the characters that DOESN'T need their burst (like Yae, Albedo, Zhongli, Clorinde, Wriothesley, Ganyu, Wanderer, and a few more characters since they can all function perfectly without it)
Qiqi is still the BEST healer (best does not mean most useful. I think Baizhu, Benny, Xianyun, and jean are more useful that qiqi) in the game due to her ascension passive basically keeping her heals up 100% of the time (no other healer can keep 100% heals up)
Her c4 is also great for the "DIY boss" events (like the old hypostasis symphony) where you can purposely increase boss atk dmg by 50% (cuts it to a 30% atk increase with qiqi c4)
Qiqi may not be the best, but she isn't as bad as people make her out to be
She's still the best coop healer to bring if you see an arlecchino/hu tao in boss domains (cuz they sometimes die and c6 comes in clutch)
Test her out. She's not that bad, but she's still VERY replaceable

Didn't expect the shoutout for dragonstriking, thanks! I will note for Diluc plunge playstyle, if you aren't planning on using Xianyun, Furina is generally not enough for him to vaporize most hits, you'll probably have to run two hydro characters for comfort purposes. Also, it is significantly easier to dragonstrike with Diluc relative to most characters in the game. The window is 5-6 frames from what I understand, so it isn't as hard as say Noelle, whose window appears to be half of that. Still, it can be a bit difficult without a reasonable amount of practice.

I have a hypothesis I would like to share. I think some people are going to bond quite strongly with their first, especially either their first chosen/ limited character, or first standard 5* who may have saved them from their skill issues at early adventure ranks.
In my case it is Diluc. I didn’t want Diluc, I lost my 50/50 when I wanted Yelan.
Diluc hard carried me to AR 45. I didn’t like Hu Tao’s play style even though I love her character, Yo Mia never came out at a convenient time and I don’t like her half on kimono top and archery bandagings. I was learning how to do dragon strike when Xinyuan released.
Anyway, hypothesis, players will almost always be the most invested in the first standard 5* they pull 75% of the time (unless it is Qi Qi, when it is probably 10%).
Thoughts?
I dont think it’s quite that deep. Speaking from my own experience, I got Keqing as my first 5* in 1.0, and yes I still use her often in Abyss and strongbox artifacts to make her better. I’ve since worked very hard on Alhaitham (dendro Keqing lol), Tighnari, and more recently, Navia. I’ll even be getting Dehya C2 with the free 5* because I love her.
But you have a point; if I hadn’t pulled Keqing as my first 5* I’m not sure I’d play her at all right now.

My first 5* was Diluc and while I literally never use him anymore he still has a full build no one else is allowed to take pieces from lol, plus Im notably less upset about losing to him- like I got his C1 recently and instead of staring with resentment like I do with other standards I was lowkey exited to see my first main get an upgrade after literal years

I just noticed this pattern recently, my stand banner 5*s seem to be on the bench more than your first.
It’s not the same as the thing I do where I don’t fully use a new limited banner 5* where I do bench them when I think I might have difficult combat or want to get through something quickly.
I also think people do this to some extent with the 1.0 OP four stars. My fav is Fischl……..
My first was Diluc and I have done him dirty 😅 he carried me for years and I refuse to triple crown him since I have other favourites I want to triple crown first. But I do have his alt skin and he’s the first one I picked to attempt to get his echo in the imaginary theatre so 🤔

One thing about Keqing ia that she is extremely flexible when it comes to rotations
Unlike most Electro dps, you can freely swap to and from her and any point.
Plus, even if you dont swap out of her she only has a 1-2 seccond cooldown on her infusion (or 0 if you use TF)
Plus, since both her and Fishl have simmilar cooldowns, you could do essencially 15 sec rotations with her which is pretty neat
Of course, characters like Clorinde or Cyno have a much higher damage ceiling, but Keqing has just really good QoL compared to them (i sometimes miss it when I'm playing Clorinde and I have suffer because of her cooldowns and not being able to swap out)
Also about Clorinde. Her ES doesn't have any Poise at all. Even impale does not have the IFrame too.
But everyone hates Shielders for the worst reasons about damages only.
The Best pick imo especially for new players are:
1. Jean - she's the most flexible here, she can be a dps, cleanse, full heal, res shred
2.Diluc - great dps early to mid, still good at endgame but you'll probably have better dps by then
3. Mona - she's still decent but a bit hard to play at early since you really need that ER to cast her ult more often since that's the most useful skill of hers
I didn't add the others especially the ones in Sumeru since their mats are in Sumeru and new players won't be there for a while
I wish more people focused on/cared about the non-combat Passive Talents.
Admittedly they vary in usefulness, so I'll rank them from imo least to most useful, particularly for a new player whom this may be their first 5 Star.
1: Jean just has some bonus effect when cooking food or something
2: Dehya increases party movement speed a bit, only during in-game daylight hours.
3: Keqing completes Expeditions at a faster rate.
4: Diluc refunds some Materials when you craft Claymores.
5: Qiqi & Tighnari show Regional Item locations on the map (Liyue & Sumeru respectively)
6: Mona can refund Weapon Ascension Materials when crafting higher tier mats, which can save you a lot of domain farming in the long run, especially when you've just started and you have *zero* weapons built.
Tbf diluc's is the only one that is unique and its minimally useful. Every other unit's passive can also be found on a 4 star with a few of them being permanently available for free.
Tbh, Dehya's talent sounds quite underwhelming compared to other characters that you mentioned.

Regarding Mona C6: This odd playstyle is further enhanced by a few other things, which I will list below.
Catalyst: Wine and Song
This actually works for her and seems like it was made for her specifically. Its ER mainstat is good for her due to her passive, and it specifically says that it also applies the buff when Alternate Sprints are used.
Teammates that have off-field damage can be good too. I use Mona as a sub-DPS and crystallize generator in my Navia team. Pop Navia's burst, swap to Mona and alt sprint into normal attack repeatedly. You will charge Mona's burst and generate crystallize for Navia at the same time. It's very efficient.
I love your description of Dehya, people are too pissed on her damage. I like and use her because she can offer utility/tankyness and some extra damage on top on field when her teammates don't stick around (I'm using her on my burning Emilie team with Bennet, Furina and Emilie with good results)
Starting with Jean almost immediately was such a blessing because she was so helpful at the start. Not to mention there were no guaranteed anemo characters if you switched Travellers element. The heals, okay damage for a normal attack on weak enemies at the start, just fun ability to use.
i already know i’ll be getting qiqi for the sole reason of putting her next to baizhu in my teapot. is she useful? no. will i ever build her? probably not. but having the two near each other makes me happy
Gotta love themes. I was going for Lyney to complete the hearth team but gave up since I was on guarentee for Furina again. (No regrets pulling Arlecchino but I already have Hu Tao... I regret Hu Tao)

Getting Keqing was the one and only time I wasn’t disappointed losing the 50-50. And I have lost every 50-50 on every banner I’ve wished on (including after returning to the game from an 8 month hiatus. I swear my account is marked). Keqing was a game changer for me because of her AOE ultimate in hyperbloom can just wipe smaller and some larger enemies off the field in one go. She also shines with fishl in aggravate. Her cons may not be game changing but I’ll take them anyway since I enjoy playing her so much.
Overall though, I think the free 5 star thing would be way more impactful if they were giving us one newer limited 5 star character or a smaller selection of less recent limited 5 stars, instead of a selection of standard ones. That would be way more exciting.
Imo it’s weird not to mention omen freeze extensions when talking about Mona. It helps negate the short uptime that her buff has and makes her useful in freeze teams.

@@RoheySaysHey Would like to say that her value in a freeze team depends on who your Cryo carry is. Namely if you use Wriothesley or a claymore user as your carry (not sure why you would but still) she is significantly worse than Kokomi/Furina because shatter (triggered via claymore NA’s/Wrio CA) will break the freeze, deal poise damage, and as such cause the omen buff to start its timer.
If you aren’t using those aforementioned cryo units, and are willing to play sustainless/Prototype Amber sustain, then she will be a great alternative to Kokomi/Furina in the event you either don’t want them or are using them in other teams

Im currently considering either Tighnari and Dehya's C2. Tighnari is the only standard 5 star I don't have, and I'm a Ganyu main, so I obviously like the charged shot playstyle. I already have Dehya at C1, so I'm mostly considering her to play burn-melt Ganyu. I have tried playing burn-melt Ganyu with my Dehya right now and I hate how much down time there is, so another 6 seconds would probably make that one of my most used teams.
If you have Yae Miko, I would go for Tighnari and horizontally invest into your account. Otherwise pick Dehya for your Ganyu.
@@yunexxe I already have 10+ 5 stars that I rarely use, and Im uncertain if Tighnari would end up as another of those. I also dont really love playing burn-melt, and I mostly use it instead of a normal melt Ganyu team with Zhongli and Xiangling if I really need Zhongli for my other abyss team.

I'm honestly excited. Longer uptime and one step closer to C6! (maybe-eventually) For all the mockery people like to throw at her, she's the only standard character I actually use and I really like her. Getting her C1 earlier this year was the one and only lost 50/50 that actually felt like a win.
I farm for keqing for a very long time, but she never came home, then i obtain yae, in her sumeru rerun, then raiden in her fontaine rerun, i got a dps sara, and i recently got and built chlorinde, but you know.....she is one of the two reason why i play genshin( the other one is childe), so when i heard that we will get a free standard five star, i imediately feel the "storm that is approaching", she will be mine and we will "bury the light" of the enemies together
Jean c2 is pretty good for catalyst characters, especially Wanderer. I like to play Wanderer in a Faruzan Furina Jean team, and Jean c2 feels good in this team. Atk% speed on Wanderer is genuinely good that's why he has atk speed on his artifact, c1 and weapon. It's a very valuable stat on him bc he has no hit stop. And especially when you play him without a Sheild because more normal attacks=more dodges. C4 is also very good because Wanderer's normal attacks does not push enemies away too much, so it's easier to keep them inside Jean's field. C6 is not bad too because you can avoid getting your Wanderer one shotted which does happens if you play him without a shield. Jean is overall a pretty good character for Wanderer, with Jean Wanderer can benefit from Furina and also it's easy to stay in Jean's field with Wanderer, and Jean cons actually helps a lot. This team is as good as the Bennet Zhongli team and it only gets better if you get more Jean constallations. Also c2 Jean is beneficial for Wriothesley's freeze team too, I often pick c2 Jean over Xianyun in his team. Overall I think Jean and her cons are pretty worth it if you like playing Wanderer.

That team is also my favorite team. I don’t have it yet but Jean C4 sounds crazy. (Definitely getting a con with my free char.) Because not only is it 40% shred for Wanderer, it’s ALSO 40% shred for Faruzan. Her damage is non-negligible. Slap on Furina and EVERYONE gets a bunch of DMG%. Not to mention, even though Jean’s damage isn’t the highest, Faruzan is supporting her with shred and anemo DMG. Everyone is buffing each other. ToTM on Faruzan, Noblesse Furina, Song of Days Past Jean. Bonus points if you slap on Freedom Sworn on Jean.
It’s a great 3 char core. Swap out Furina with Bennett for Sunfire to shred shields. I like to swap Furina out for ADC Kazuha in overworld for energy and CC.
I am most likely gonna pick Jean because i have furina and i need healer xD.

Oddly enough Diluc's C2 activates from several things. Like if you're in co-op a Wanderer can trigger it if they activate their skill next to you. It's honestly kinda funny.
What's funny is i have him at c2. He broke my streak of collecting 1 each (that bastard) and then showed up again.
Keqing was the first 5 star I wanted. I remember when I had no common sense for genshin, I used to use all my wishes on the standard banner which looking back was stupid but hey, they say pull for you want. So I’m going for keqing

also of note, jeans monster charged attack and anemo being kinda neutral + her having really good modifiers for her skill / burst mean shes kind of never bad, and for higher investment she works incredibly well with infusion, especially c6 bennet because her teams become functionally immortal between his healing and her increased attack for healing. add furina and a second hydro and she can boss exceptionally well.

oh yeah, i failed to adequately explain it, but i claimed the artifact selector would be good for infusion comps during the 5.0 livestream watch. I was thinking specifically veridescent infusion comp goblets because they provide the most to their team whilst potentially outpreforming other element% sets in single target scenarios due to the ease of debuff and buffing what anemo damage the infusee happens to deal.
also, this is cranking the investment up to eleven, but elegy c6 diona + rosaria (and also therefore cryo resonance) is nearly competitive with furina + tenacity kokomi as as a matter of sheer stats provided to monster god jean, but honestly sayu is better because you can control the reactions better with her swing speed / early cancel charged attacks, wheras jean requiring an initial hit to get to her charged attack makes it kind of rng.
Am I the only one who’s still confused if we’ll get the chosen standard 5*character permanently for ever or will they disappear after the event is over? 😭

I'm just split between Tighnari and Jean. Active roster DPS wise, I already have Neuvi, Alhaitham, Raiden, Wanderer, even Nahida sometimes. Anemo, wise, my inseparable Wanderer and Faruzan, Kazuha being critical members to their teams.
Healers wise, Jean's unique selling point is that she's an Anemo healer + CC. She'd make a meaningful teammate in many team comps in addition to Furina since healer wise, I mainly rely on Kokomi and Yaoyao although I have several other healers in my reserve list except for Baizhu.
Think I'll be more inclined towards Jean than Tighnari, but Tighnari does look fun.
Mona is a good option if you EVER want to play a freeze team . She still is the best hydro unit for that team .

For mona, you forgot the only niche she’s recommended in and she does a well damn job at that being freeze variants, mostly Ayaka freeze.
The reason due to her overly complicated burst technical wise but can be simply understood as so: Freeze reaction can lengthen Mona’s dmg buff duration.
For people that are interested in how this works. Basically when Mona uses elemental burst, she applies 2 parts instead of 1: Illusory bubble and Omen status.
Omen gives you dmg buff based on Mona’s talent level. And if you burst Illusory bubble, the timer for Omen’s buff begins up to 5s. A good thing to note is Omen buff was already applied at the time elemental burst was casted, so any dmg that is applied before Illusory bubble is bursted still gains the dmg% buff.
Any attack to the enemies affected by Illusory bubble after Mona’s elemental burst was casted will burst the bubble and starts the timer subsequently. However there are occasions where the states of the enemies interfere with this mechanic. And for the sake of this comment not being too long, I will just say frozen enemies being one of them.

I get what your saying about her supportive role and its great. But her ult does nothing for that except "reset" her skill while taking up a similar amount of on field time as a carry while not doing carry damage.

Theres no guarantee a natlan character will be added to standard first, its more likely that older characters that were originally gonna be relegated to chronicle wish will be added instead. (Eula Klee Albedo)
@@starbandit1851 nope never gonna happen. There is a law in china where the characters that were launched as limited on release can't be put on standard. That's considered fraud. So the only characters that will be added are future characters. Now it is possible that they may add some random character of random region anytime. Imagine of Xilonen ends up in standard banner lol coz geo is still missing
I am a huge fan of Dehya, I think she has value, and I will be picking her C1 from my selector. However, I feel compelled to point out that the reason her kit is perceived as bad is absolutely not because people are mistaking her for a DPS. Her support capabilities are ALSO extremely, and in many cases confusingly, bad. Damage redirection is strictly worse than damage reduction, which Xingqiu and Beidou have provided from day 1. Her skill uptime is terrible - worse than 4* like Kuki, for example. Her burst does not refresh her skill duration even though previous characters like Fischl's and Kokomi's do. They even went out of their way to give her normal attacks the lowest scaling of ANY claymore in the game - lower than the likes of Sayu and Dori, who were already not DPS characters. In short, she is a step down from previously established norms in the game in almost every regard. She also has several aspects to her kit that are janky or straight up dysfunctional - the burst being canceled by jumping, hitbox issues with her skill, and the auto-targeting during her burst is insanity.
even tho i will pick tighnari i still this qiqi is underrated and not explained well, one thing you didnt mention that is a pretty usefull thing of qiqi is her burst, wich marks nearby enemys with a sigil, when a character dmgs an enemy with that sigil the character will be healed, if your qiqi is well invested and paired with neuvillete his heal will barely go down, still you should choose whoever you want i am just giving info on something that wasnt talked about and its pretty important in her kit
Still don’t see how that counters the major downsides he mentioned. And the way better (4*) alternatives available. Unless you really like her, I don’t see any reason to recommend her.
I wanna get all the standard characters before even considering their constellations, so the freebie choice for me is down to either Tighnari or Deyha. As for who it'll be... I think I'm gonna wait and see what happens when I pull for Kinich - if I get him, I'll snag Deyha for the off-field pyro application to facilitate burning reactions. If I lose the 50/50, and furthermore don't get either of the Sumeru characters, then I'll pick Tighnari so that I finally have a Dendro dps.

I have dehya so I’ll get keqing
The problem is that Dehya exist in a game with shielder and absurd healers. If she was in something like zenless zone zero where we have no healer, and tiny shield, she'd feel at home. But in Genshin she just feels not great. Thoma and Xinyan exist for pyro off field and shields.
Yeah thats a fair perspective. I think I actually cut out some yapping about how I think shes much better designed than many of Genshins healers/shielders are because they do so well at keeping you alive they are generally just kinda OP. Most games dont let you have so much access to things preventing death, as that is usually the failure mechanism. OP healers/shielders instead make the failure mechanism in the game be a DPS check with a time trial, which is not as fun of a baseline to approach playing the game from for me, personally. Hence part of why I think I embrace Dehyas kit so much.
I oftentimes dont mind dying in Genshin, but I do notice being more tanky with Dehya in a team, especially in conjunction with Dehya + proto amber holder (usually Nahida). So I still like the highly unique combination that is her entire kit package

Great overview. I’m personally getting Jean for multiple reasons, but this was nice to hear what the others could offer.
I would say first pick jean or tignari, if you already have them pick diluc if you have xiangyun or mona if you need hydro characters. Then pick deyha if you play her dps and want her c1 or deyha c2 if you play her in a support role. Finally go for jean, tignari, and deyha cons cause they are the best).
Imo, it goes by :
1 Jean (Anemo = free win. Plus she have an amazing interaction with bennett)
2 Mona (Hydro off field are rare, and for a new player, she fill a lot of needs. Book wearer, high hydro on field and some more off field, big dmg for bursts, overworld mobility... Yeah, you can dump her when you gain kokomi, or furina. But if their rereuns happen between 2 wanted character, you are set.)
3 Tighnari (cuz he have better con than keqing, so, unlocking him help you yo have his better constelation sooner. Plus his BiS set/F2P weapon are very good to farm/easy to have.. If it wasn't for that, he would be tie with keqing)
4 keqing (The needs of TF who suck to farm + need to have 5 Lion's roar VS 5 slingshoot + gilded.... Yeaaaah. Otherwise, very similar)
5 Dehya (her interuption res still feel like ass)
6 qiqi (Yeah, on top of diluc only cause diluc have like 4 competitor now, and qiqi got furina'd.)
7 Diluc (Btw, his C4 is a bait, it's like, turbo bad)
As someone who uses and plays both Keqing and Dehya often, I would rank Dehya higher. Interrupt res and off-field Pyro are decent compared to Keqing’s damage ratios which just fall further and further behind newer units. But the nail in the coffin is that Dehya can work as an off-fielder and Keqing can’t, which means almost any given account will get a lot more use out of Dehya than Keqing.
The exception is if the account has 1 or 0 on-field DPS, then Keqing has a lot of value.
Probably good I didnt say anything meaningful about C4 Diluc then lol. He definitely doesnt have very good constellations but they at least have interesting ideas in them

Team comp :
Keqing is simple and straight forward Dendro (why not dendro MC), fischl, Anemo. Gaining power in her team is once again very easy. You craft Sapwood, you go for sucrose, then Kazuha, why not Iron sting cause your luck sucks and Lion's roar don't want to come, maybe strong box some TF items to stop using gladiator on her ?
While Dehya can be hard to build a team around. Her not working with Xingqiu can be a HUGE breaking point for a lot of people. plus, her constelation make building her kinda painfull ?
"220 ER at C0 ? oof, okay, I guess i go favge and emblem. Oh, C1, okay, i will swap sands. And now C2, I need less ER now.". She needs way more time than other units because of the way she grow verticaly.
Unreliable weapon :
As Navia says, "carrying an unreliable weapon is worse than not carrying one at all". Her resistance to interuption can feel pretty bad. Like, fucking frustrating. I don't even want to talk about the time i think it was a good idea to play wanderer with her. I need to check on Keqing mains how much her buff is weak in poise, but i think lower than Xingqiu ? idk. That plus her up time. Her buff is her 60% of the time.
When you get keqing, you know what you get. A quick-swapy electro DPS.
Competitors :
Electro on field DPS are not too many. I mean, yes you have raiden and cyno. But Raiden is usually more of a EM bot nowadays, and cyno humongus uptime can kill him for some content. Keqing is still on the top of the chain in that category.
For Dehya, well... as a DPS even more in low con. Yup. No.
and as an EM bot/pyro res, I think thomas is better ? He have a very good shield, good pyro uptime. He just don't have acces to Totm.
BUT. Dehya have a better DPS. but if you want a good off field DPS i think you should go for xiangling ?
That's why it's hard for me to put dehya anything but below Keqing. Pyro is a pretty complete element, and electro still have some room to improvement, thus making keqing feels more relevent, still at this day,.
But, i gotta admit, new commers aside, I think dehya win, her con are way more impactfull like a lot
C0 to C6 keqing = 33% dmg increase. Dehya achieve that only by her C1. C0 to C6 ? 200% increase. It's insane, and she have some interesting team to make. But those team, if you want to do them, you need some other characters. :)

Fun fact: Barbara c6 can actually full hp a dead character but.. Qiqi is just a machine you need to have her c6 tho but when you have qll of your characters dead and shes the only one alive and you have her burst you can heal all of your characters full hp! Even tho their dead their alive now so i recommend qiqi c6 if your rlly bad at boss fights thats the only reason why shes always on my team.
Listened to this guide even knowing full well im just going to get Deyha. I have all the standard banner characters i want but her lol. For all her clunk, I'm getting and building her.

I have some thoughts (little novel) to share on Diluc and Mona as they're my favorite two standard 5* (so bias be there but hey) I currently have Diluc triple crown c3 and Mona burst crown (9, 12, 13) c5 (she evaded me the longest and then came haunting me, not that I'm mad i love her) xD
Diluc actually plays a little different from other claymore users. alternating normals and skill actually has him attack much faster than say Eula for example. If you usually don't like slow claymore style, he kinda goes against that, his attacks are very fast. On top of that with alternating skill and normals it actually helps him with the usual ICD issues allowing him to vaporize almost all his hits which can be very satisfying. I am not gonna say he's insanely strong but he has a very unique gameplay to this day that you don't rly get from any other character.
Attacks still feel heavy due to the claymore yet fast due to the alternating.
also a huge bonus: He is one of the few chars that you can swap out without loosing his infusion!
The ult pushing enemies is portrayed as a negative but if you're using him with yelan you can easily follow up and catch up getting a good vape on her skill and now your enemies are actually grouped without using an anemo unit. It's super practical, if you keep this in mind. Initial burst hit is also a pretty great nuke xd
He can also be used in burgeon and overloaded and mono pyro for some alternative options. Obviously he isn't really the best at any of these but he WORKS and he works well. So if you enjoy his playstyle and don't have him? Go for it. Sure there's better options but you don't need the best options, personally i go for ones that work that i enjoy playing.
The constellations: yes the combo not interrupting is absolutely great cause you'll actually use the skill every second or third hit depending on how you play him. meaning you can now actually get his higher normal multipliers too !
AAaand moving on to Mona. this was somehow left out here but her ult does an insane amount of dmg itsself if u vape it? xD I use Mona on Navia teams to buff her skill while getting a mona nuke on benny ult it's so fun. My fave team is gotta be putting her on vape nilou with nilou mona benny xiangling it's just a nuke collection team. (do note as a nilou main my nilou is c6 r2 but it worked fine with c1r1 as well xd)
Also Soluna, you hover over this passive but don't mention it. She's not just attack scaling. She's the only char other than raiden who is actually ER scaling making Emblem set absolutely insane on her for burst spam teams!! I think there's tons of fun teams for Mona. I saw yours is lvl 40 so idk how far you explored her kit on a different acc perhaps but i highly recommend leveling and building her she's super fun.
On mona constellations? C1 is straightforward, c2 actually yes you do just spam normals, the 20% comes up regularly enough to be worth it. And yes it's clunky to play her on field cause of this c2 cause she does do the charged animation and it's easy to accidentally interrupt it cause you weren't expecting it and then you don't get the dmg from it. with her sprint as well, on field mona is GOOD but CLUNKY xD
C6 i don't have but i heard from someone who has it that it's essentially not worth using which yea i get that. perhaps you can set up some ca nukes with that? but why do that when you have her burst nuke already. I'd put her c1 c3 and c4 in S tier (Actually affecting how u usually use her) her c2 and c6 in G tier for Gimmicks her c5 in C tier kinda mid. It's also called mockery of fortuna so don't jinx bad luck ok?
Personally tempted for Mona but i don't wanna jinx c7 on the next standard/ 50/50 so it'll be Dehya c1 time for me, probably the one that changes most gameplay wise of the consts I'm currently at between the 4 standard chars that i do use (4th one being Keqing)
the dehya glazing in this video is crazy
it is but dehya is also the most versatile standard character so i see why. She can be used as a dps, off field applicator and support for interrupt resistance. Granted, she is not particularly good at any of those things, but the versatility is definitely valuable especially for new players that won't have too many characters. Being stuck to using tighnari, diluc or keqing in their respective teams, or using freeze teams with mona, or basically requiring furina for jean are all very restrictive.
I've wanted Jean since I started playing. And I need to complete my Anemo collection. After her, I'll only need one more... The Archon...
The real depressing part of dehya is they copy pasted her kit to fu xuan in HSR but fixed all the problems. As she is now every time i use her i feel like im fighting with my hands tied. Her c1 and 2 should have just been part of her base kit.

I think it depends if you want to invest in building qiqi if you know how you'd use her, or if you want to buff your already built dehya

@@polaroyde if you've already grinded for the materials for qiqi, its worth it to invest into her--overall, qiqi's not a bad character to pull, and as her burst isn't that useful anyways its not that big of a deal that she doesn't generate energy
a thing to note is that her healing scales off of her attack (not hp) and when her skill is active, her normal attacks heal the party
id say that having another character is better than having the same character with a slight buff, especially when you've already grinded for that character

When I was F2P I got most standard characters except Diluc😢 now I’m welkin enjoyer and will probably get Jean because I want her C2.

I really appreciate the part on constellations. That's where I am at (I have all the standard 5* characters already). My choices are (in no particular order) the following upgrades:
1. Jean C3
2. Diluc C4

Diluc is my favorite of the bunch, and I do play him on a plunge team, but I don't know if his C4 to C6 is really going to improve my numbers. It would scale my talents.
Leaning towards Keqing, because she gets a damage boost and I actually play her on an aggravate team - in fact, that was my floor 12 second half team this time: Keqing, Fischl, Yao Yao, Zhongli.
As someone who never built their Dehya and is probably going to get her c1 with the selector, I would really like to see that hour-long Dehya discussion you said that you had in you. I do feel like she's subtly gotten better with characters such as Furina, Wriothesly, Neuvilette and Emilie all having team options that include Dehya in some form or another and with Burning setting up Forward Vaporize and Reverse Melt - it feels like Natlan will be more amenable to Dehya than Sumeru ever was.
What are your favorite teams to play Dehya on? What artifact sets and weapons do you have invested for her? Any interesting quirks about those teams that are worth talking about? What would the ideal team archetype or teammate look like for her in the future?
i play tighnari a lot, so its probably smarter to get his c2… but man.. i’ve wanted dehya for so long 😭 i love her as a character, but i also love how many unique teams she can make 🥹💕🩷 so maybe not the smartest decision, but i cant deny our wonderful flame mane 🔥
Feel like you underrated Mona's dash, which is the fastest in the game and just feels great for zipping around and exploring (especially when paired with a character with fast skill movement like Yelan, Wanderer, or Sayu).
Also Keqing's teleport is really useful for exploring, especially in areas with irregular surfaces that are hard to climb.
Your Deyha Sigewinne team inspired me to make my own. I just got 36 stars on the current Abyss with Yaoyao/Deyha/Furina/Kazuha. Yaoyao and Deyha's bursts also alternate really well and the burgeons and forward vapes are constant when it gets going. Deyha is such a slept on unit and since I've started using her I've been having so much fun with this game.

Now if only I can get Jean on a 50/50 loss or standard banner before/during 5.0 so I can have no regrets getting Deyha c1
You're half right about Diluc's c6 - two other characters, Itto and Wriothesley (coincidentally my 2 most anticipated 5 stars) both have a clause that their skill and dash dont interrupt their normal attack combo, but Diluc is the only character who unlocks that functionality through cons.
I can kinda see why, as Itto gains 2 CA stacks from N4 and Wrio gets his empowered CA from N5 when he's c1, so both have an incentive to reach the end of their normal attack string where Diluc doesnt. He just gets it cuz its cool.
random but at 33:46 you talk about dilucs c6 being able to cast his E without interrupting his NA sequence, but hes not the only one! Itto can do that too, either with a dash or using Ushi imo its part of what makes him feel good to play for me
IMO, Jean is the safest pick for beginners. Mona looks great too but they will get confused. Tighnari, Keqing and Diluc are ok but beginners will value defense more than DPS. Dehya looks ok as a defensive option but the 4 star with shields can be more reliable, consistent, or intuitive.

I ran ger in the first half last abyss with instructors cuz that side also gives some white particles but in return, guoba doesnt always hit.
And dehya's uptime issues will never leave her
Literal xinyan is better than her with mualani if we wanna go there. Like, dehya can be used as a support, she's not a good support.
Also, I think your investment with C1 and then C2 furina is just enough to make her upside noticable. At standard investment where not only is damage lower, but fights go on for longer and dying is a bigger issue, her upsides get completely hidden in the clunk and uptime issues
