That is a perfect example of how hard it was to take Lance down. When I hear people say Lance was unfairly singled out I point to cases like this that have nothing to do with the fact he doped. He was an Irish champion cyclist as was his father,uncles and brothers. Cycling means a lot to him and he seems to be the only journalist in the world that cares about stopping Doping in cycling. People want to hang him for his use of a metaphor rather than listen to what he has to say.

The last 10 seconds of this video is so telling: Lance says "Getting back to the Tour of California", people applaud and even the person shooting this starts laughing. In the face of all this and the sycophants, it took a small number of journalists a decade or more of their lives to uncover this cheat.

I remember a few months ago, scrolling down through the comments and seeing so many of Lance's deluded fans aggressively defending him by insulting the credibility of others. Where are they now? The last 10 seconds of this video is so telling: Lance says "Getting back to the Tour of California", people applaud and even the person shooting this starts laughing. In the face of all this and the sycophants, it took a small number of journalists a decade or more of their lives to uncover this cheat.

I'm glad to see Armstrong defending himself. I know very little about Kimmage, but like many in the media this is how you make a name for yourself or continue your reputation. It's a unfortunate part of modern day media and one of the reasons I've stopped following/believing mass media. Too many in mass media have become the story instead of reporting the story.
Paul was 100% right my friend just because you didn't know who he was and believed the so called Hero Armstrong at the time is probably what's still wrong with sports still ! PAUL lost his job after Armstrongs big legal team went after the paper he wrote for. Lots of American reporter's knew Paul was right about Armstrong but ware afraid to back him incase the lost their jobs.
