Paul Kimmage is one of the best investigative journalists that has ever been involved in cycling. He persisted through thick and thin, even when Lance and Team Sky mounted vicious legal battles to suppress his exposés. The lickspittles journalist crew who chuckled away at the end of this clip should be ashamed of themselves and their enabling of Armsrong.

That is a perfect example of how hard it was to take Lance down. When I hear people say Lance was unfairly singled out I point to cases like this that have nothing to do with the fact he doped. It is all about his constant character assassinations ("you are not worth the chair you are sitting on") that he did to Paul Kimmage, David Walsh, Emma O'Reilly, the Andreau's etc., etc., etc. Lance has got everything he deserves.

Armstrong was a master manipulator with powerful rhetoric and at his core a total bully that i would argue most hyper successful men are. That said he also he raised millions for cancer treatment. Im not arguing that one cancels the other, but it makes the lore of Armstrong very strange and conflicted. Other fraudsters make and steal money and leave victims, Armstrong made millions for cancer patients while defrauding corporate sponsors who made millions themselves on viewership. It’s all very weird.

Lance spent much of his best years in cycling making statements to appear above many people. He always made it seem like everybody else was on such a lower moral ground than him, that they were such horrible people. The fact is a cancer is a malignant growth or tumour, and Lance was exactly that. How things have changed since this occurred in 2009. One cannot underestimate how much of a battering Lance's ego will have taken in 2012, and rightly so. David Walsh and Paul Kimmage, we salute you.

He was an Irish champion cyclist as was his father, uncles and brothers. Cycling means a lot to him and he seems to be the only journalist in the world that cares about stopping Doping in cycling.

What is the evidence for that? We all know he was tested extensively for many years. If you are stating not only that he was cheating but that no rational person could disagree, there should be conclusive evidence that he was. I am not asking rhetorically or to take a swipe at you -- if there is that strong a case for it, I want to know about it.

What guy? Kimmage? Sorry I think you're confused. It was 10 other cyclists who committed to give evidence against Lance to the USADA. Kimmage is out of the frame (pardon the pun) on this.

It showed it so clearly that he wasn't disqualified, right?

No it didn't take long to get to your comment. And hmmm is for maybe Paul Kimmage is a hero for cycling after all and not garbage as you stated.

The bigger picture is what he did for those suffering from cancer. Maybe he was more motivated to dope to bring in more money for his foundation. Then, so what.
Lance, in spite of cheating (as many others) you are still an amazing man who has SAVED many lives and put millions of bums on bikes.People who are significantly fitter and healthier, living longer lives for the the loved ones and and and.
    Good on you Lance!!!

Jonathan Taff maybe next Lance can advocate young athletes to turn away from the doping that in all likelihood contributed to his cancer in the first place.

I remember a few months ago, scrolling down through the comments and seeing so many of Lance's deluded fans aggressively defending him by insulting the credibility of others. Where are they now? The last 10 seconds of this video is so telling: Lance says "Getting back to the Tour of California", people applaud and even the person shooting this starts laughing. In the face of all this and the sycophants, it took a small number of journalists a decade or more of their lives to uncover this cheat.

Support Kimmage. Make a donation (however small) to his defence fund.

You are choosing to see things in PKs comment that aren't there - biased much?

I'm glad to see Armstrong defending himself. I know very little about Kimmage, but like many in the media this is how you make a name for yourself or continue your reputation. It's a unfortunate part of modern day media and one of the reasons I've stopped following/believing mass media. Too many in mass media have become the story instead of reporting the story.

Paul was 100% right my friend just because you didn't know who he was and believed the so called Hero Armstrong at the time is probably what's still wrong with sports still ! PAUL lost his job after Armstrongs big legal team went after the paper he wrote for. Lots of American reporter's knew Paul was right about Armstrong but ware afraid to back him incase the lost their jobs. If Paul was an American journalist there would be a Hollywood blockbuster about him .. . Anyway after all those years I hope your keeping well my friend. Respectful 🙏
