    JEPI JEPQ GPIX GPIQ…large parts of my portfolio. Awesome video as always. Thank you!

    I only have 1 cc etf in my portfolio which is jepq. I won't change to these new etf's coming out because they are very similar. I won't even touch jepi cause jepq has a better total return with income. So that's that.

    I'll be sticking with NEOS's SPYI for my taxable account, but These funds have lower expense ratio's, so I may add them to a retirement account at some point. Thanks for the info!

      I love neos etfs, but the upside capture on these is blowing them out of the water

    Although these etf's are very similar and one will/may out perform another, how would each be affected by Volatility? Which would be affected more? TIA.

    It seems similar to SPYI as well although I am not sure how SPYI has a 12% yield.

    Another great video!! Thanks!! Can you tell us easy way to calculate yield when a etc, fund, etc, does not state it.... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! Being in Panama must be distracting, but you keep pumping out video's!! ;-)

      The yield changes every day because it depends on the current price. Plus, if the distribution amount is different every month/quarter, a reliable yield cannot be calculated.
      Nevertheless, the forward yield is calculated by multiplying the most recent distribution by 12 and dividing by the current price -- or more importantly the average price you bought the fund for.
      The trailing yield is the sum of the previous 12 monthly distributions divided by the price.
      In both calculations, shift the decimal point of the result by two places to the right and add a "%" to the end

      multiply the latest monthly dividend by 12 to get the annual dividend. then divide that number by the share price

      Didn’t mention how they write their option. Out the money or at the money. If the write the option in the money or at the money, no wonder they have more money to distribute.

    Pretty sure the downside will be more on those than JPM because of this weighting.

      You have to remember that the Boomers (that's me) have lots of money and are retired. They are making a killing with these type of funds with the expense ratio.

    I am so tempted to swap my QQQY for one of these funds. It feels like QQQY is depreciating at a similar rate to the distributions. I have been running a trial with 14,960 invested, 1894 in distributions and a 1395 loss in fund value. So the distributions are just barely ahead of the fund value dropping. Thoughts?

    • @PassiveIncomeInvesting
      @PassiveIncomeInvesting  9 місяців тому

      I can only lead by example for qqqy . Best to do what’s comfortable for you

    • @SummitMan165
      @SummitMan165 9 місяців тому

      Is it distributions for only one months? If so, you made net 500$ or 3.3% for ONE month… x 12 and you’ll be onto 40% total return … not bad !!
