Kinda sad about the Little Witch Academia game... I really love Trigger and wanted to buy the game to support the franchise. While I'm not as critical of it as you are I simply can't defend it. I even felt buyers remorse because of that game. I truly hope Arcsys can make the Kill la Kill game work!
Tbh, several things Austin mentioned were in the game, like fast travel (you need to unlock it first) and if you look at the screens when he states "can't find Akko's room" you can clearly see that the rooms are in fact labelled on the map. However, this game failed to me as a brawler because as soon as you unlock the magic and the different supers you stop using the brawling system all together. That's not a good sign and the fact that the super moves can't be skipped is a different problem all in itself. I enjoyed this game, but not for its gameplay. I had more fun running around the school talking to the background characters, getting to know their quirks and doing their quests since they rarely interacted with the main characters on the show, and some of the things you find out about them and the themes they played with in this game made me realise why the game was recommended from 12 years instead of 7 like the show was on Netflix. Main point; I enjoyed this as a fan of the show, but as a gamer I have played better brawlers than Chamber of Time.

The stereotyped otaku that loves visual novels and mmojrpg. Obviously this clearly western youtuber and MOST of us aren't interested in that type of thing. In plain English witch academia the game wasn't made for western and mainstream fans.

Even the devs acknowledged that it was because of their inexperience in the genre along with Bandai rushing them up. It was just poorly executed. Interactions between character were alright.

Also sad Chamber of Time wasn't dubbed. Granted it's an anime game not named Neptunia, so the odds weren't high, but it would've been nice to have the dub cast back. On top of the last Atelier and now Persona Q 2 going dubless, it's not a good trend. Hope Cold Steel 3 keeps its cast.

I didn't mind LWA nearly as much, but maybe that's because i wasn't disappointed by the co-op aspect of it, I was fully expecting to solo the game. Its no masterpiece, maybe even underwhelming, but i do gotta defend it on two points. 1. You said some rooms weren't marked properly, adding that you couldn't even find your room when it is very clearly labeled. If you know the name of your character, you know where your room is on the map as it's labeled "Akko's Room" at 9:59. 2. You then went on to say you had never wished for a game to have fast travel before, implying that LWA doesn't have one. It does, it just isnt available from the start, and limits you to only going from save point to save point for the most part. Aside fom those points, i think you were quite fair, even if i ended up liking the game regardless.
i'm sure you know already, but in case you don't for whatever reason, gundam breaker 3 a) has an english language option and b) is a good game. you'll have to import it, but it's worth it if you can.
I found shaq fu a legend reborn to be more on the mediocre side rather than being uterly bad. There was humor in the game and it was self aware. But it still has a bare bones gameplay that is not very engaiging
The problem with Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn was the developers were more concerned with cashing in on memes than they were with making a good game. It's not offensively bad, but it's so half-assed in almost every department that it fails to justify its existence.
What's funny to me is that upcoming Kill la Kill game is being developed by the same folks that did this Little Witch Academia game (and a bunch of JP-exclusive eShop shovelware). and once again, it's got flashy wonderful graphics but absolute BUTT gameplay.

Still, it wasn't worth the 40 dollars I payed for it and dear god was it REALLY not worth all the time I put into Platniuming it. Still, I'd probably buy another one in a heart beat cause I'ma sheep. That is is Bandi doesn't just go "Welp looks like this show isn't profitable lol lets stop making games for it."

Woah, hold on a second, Human Head studio was just doing what Kensei Fujinaga and Square Enix wanted them too and it's really clear when you read Kensei's statements that he directed it into this pretentious trashfire. Kensei is a Square Enix employee and it is on record that this was all his idea and he teamed up with that hack comic writer Joe Kelly to help him out. Human Head studios has been barely hanging on as a company after Bethesda fucked them over so hard and they're just taking any job they can to stay alive, they don't deserve the blame for The Quiet Man. Also import gundam breaker 3 on the ps4, it's great and its already in english.

Sad to see the Little Witch Academia game. Personally I loved it. Yeah the gameplay was jank. But I was in love with the story. It was like playing a new season of the series. Also there was a fast travel item it was a consumable item though.

I always hear about gundam breaker when people talk about hidden gems on the vita. Always wanted to try them out and apparently a few games actually have english support in the asian versions but good to know the new one is garbage. Saves me a few munnies
Truly I'm only disappointed in Little Witch Academia:CoT because I bought that bitch full price on the PS Store after unsuccessfully trying to find a non JP Physical copy (Now I know why they didnt bother.) The trailer looked fun, the scenario seemed fun with rewinding time every day (was I hoping for a Majora's Mask Lite experience, maybe a little. At least the side quests have some of that), and the beat em up gameplay is something I needed a switch up from Dragon's Crown and Odin Sphere (both amazing games I appreciate a lot more now). Tbh this really has soured me on games based on Studio Trigger animes. Youd think good anime deserve the royal treatment when it comes to MODERN games (big distinction there) but apparently some companies are willing to throw those titles to the wayside.
Full agree with the New Gundam Breaker breakdown. I personally wasn't keeping up closely with the series but it was on my radar as something fun to try, so when New caught my eye at EB one day I was like "Oh sweet I've been meaning to try one of these games". I thought I was going to experience what I now know is Gundam Breaker 3, not this hot garbage. No part of this game is satisfying. I'm gonna' buy Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn on PS4 instead, hopefully show Bamco there's still interest.
Thats crazy because Gundam breaker 1-3 are all mission based hunting games like Monster hunter or Toukiden. Gundam breaker 3 was released in full english in korea and is a great import game btw.
I gotta say, New Gundam Breaker was the worst video game of this decade for me. I even took a week off work so I could play online with my friends. Then it was only on PS4 for months which sucked; but then the game itself blew Big Zam.
Luckily, I never found any bad games. I usually avoid horrible games like the plague, plus I tend to notice a game if it might suck, but not really a whole lot

I bought LWA Chamber of Time Day 1 because I was so excited! Like, LWA is one of my all-time favorite anime. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get through about an hour of the game. It's just a complete and total slog. And the gameplay itself is barebones and mediocre at best... (Sigh)

Woah, hold on a second, Human Head studio was just doing what Kensei Fujinaga and Square Enix wanted them too and it's really clear when you read Kensei's statements that he directed it into this pretentious trashfire. Kensei is a Square Enix employee and it is on record that this was all his idea and he teamed up with that hack comic writer Joe Kelly to help him out. Human Head studios has been barely hanging on as a company after Bethesda fucked them over so hard and they're just taking any job they can to stay alive, they don't deserve the blame for The Quiet Man.
Also import gundam breaker 3 on the ps4, it's great and its already in english.

Tomb Raider is a decent game. I understand where you may be coming from, they haven't changed the formula since the first and must've expected all the uncharted fans to migrate over immediately.
Sad to see the Little Witch Academia game. Personally I loved it. Yeah the gameplay was jank. But I was in love with the story. It was like playing a new season of the series. Also there was a fast travel item it was a consumable item though.

As an LWA fan, let me tell you, the game does suck.
But OH BOY did it satisfy me by letting me talk to every background witch and giving me CANON map of Luna Nova.
The Fanfic fuel of that game was so strong it alone created one of the rising stars of the shipping field for this anime, Hamanda

Truly I'm only disappointed in Little Witch Academia:CoT because I bought that bitch full price on the PS Store after unsuccessfully trying to find a non JP Physical copy (Now I know why they didnt bother.)
The trailer looked fun, the scenario seemed fun with rewinding time every day (was I hoping for a Majora's Mask Lite experience, maybe a little. At least the side quests have some of that), and the beat em up gameplay is something I needed a switch up from Dragon's Crown and Odin Sphere (both amazing games I appreciate a lot more now).
Tbh this really has soured me on games based on Studio Trigger animes. Youd think good anime deserve the royal treatment when it comes to MODERN games (big distinction there) but apparently some companies are willing to throw those titles to the wayside.

Full agree with the New Gundam Breaker breakdown. I personally wasn't keeping up closely with the series but it was on my radar as something fun to try, so when New caught my eye at EB one day I was like "Oh sweet I've been meaning to try one of these games". I thought I was going to experience what I now know is Gundam Breaker 3, not this hot garbage. No part of this game is satisfying. I'm gonna' buy Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn on PS4 instead, hopefully show Bamco there's still interest.

i had already heard New Gundam Breaker was bad way back when, but when i first heard "its coing to America!" i thought, "WHAT? WHY!? it was greatly panned as the worst of the Gundam Breakers!" and so it came here anyway because Namco isnt making sense anymore i guess.

New Gundam Breaker is one of two games I've ever returned in my life. Such a bummer coming off of Gundam Breaker 3, because THAT game kicks ass.
I bought LWA Chamber of Time Day 1 because I was so excited! Like, LWA is one of my all-time favorite anime. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get through about an hour of the game. It's just a complete and total slog. And the gameplay itself is barebones and mediocre at best... (Sigh)
Not one single person who has ever lived genuinely likes the original Shaq Fu, it's so bad it's become a meme.
