@@badbadgilead2552 defo! while Peggy still has "strange" and "experimental" moments overall LP! is as accessible as he got with the JPEGMAFIA moniker its honestly one of the most accessible "experimental" rap albums and makes a good intro for most new peggy listeners
cornballs is still my favorite right now, but this has grown on me a ton the more I listen. I think I was initially hoping for more weirdness, and the songs where Danny is harder to hear did put a damper on it for me at first, but after reframing my expectations a bit I’m appreciating just how masterful the production is and it’s all starting to fall into place. weirdly I almost think if the music videos for the singles had leaned more into the *long lost blaxploitation film* vibe instead of the standard Peggy aesthetic it might’ve helped with knowing what to expect from the sound of the album, cause just imaging 70s movie style scenes with this as the soundtrack is a whole other experience in my mind
I completely agree. Just gotta give it time, peggy albums are truly an experience that grows and breathes with time. He is one of the best artists of our generation
I'm so damn excited! I was hoping this would be popping up soon Edit - So glad your dad liked it! Listened with my dad whos not a huge rap fan and he absolutely loved it!
A veteran re-reaction would be really interesting once yall are caught up with LP amd EPs. I found Veteran was a whole different experience once I understood what peggys trying to do
Hey guys, so glad you both loved this one! Out of curiosity, if you cover all the main peggy albums, would you consider listening to any pre BBC albums? My all time favorite is the director's cut of Communist Slow Jams
So I haven't figured out if this was on purpose or not but the track run the jewels sampled LL Cool J, RTJ got their name from a reference to one of his songs. (also rtj has worked with peggy and danny)
Hey man, I love watching your videos as those remind me of times I try to help my dad (cool dude like urs :D) understand what's the hype for such things we younglings like. I've been listening to Slowthai's works a lot lately. It'd be great to see you guys reacting to his works. Love from Türkiye
Is this album better than LP offline I legit have changed my mind 10 times. Rn I think LP but idk. Also I know your dad isn't the biggest Jpeg guy but I feel like he would maybe vibe with LP lol idk love the channel.
LP offline is genuinely my favorite rap album of the past 5 years. I’ll let you know in about a month how I rank this one. Need more time with it. So far I adore it though. Just think LP! has a touch to offer overall as of now
Very enjoyable video, this is an album of the year contender for sure. You guys should definately listen to some billy woods/armand hammer, its some of the best rap in terms of lyricism, concept and themes that ive ever heard, hes a true poet.
Ehhhh I mean, you can compare anyone. They are both producers, both elite samplers, both have outstanding use of gospel influence in their production, I think you definitely can compare
peggy has said that kanye is his favourite artist multiple times and you can hear the direct influence in his own music so a comparison is pretty easy to make imo.
The fact he did all of this on the one machine is such an insane producer flex
The fact your white and promote this shows youre a patsy and your culture is dead
theres plenty rappers who produce with drumpad machines lmaoo
@@fisnik301I’d like to see u produce a album like scaring the hoes on a sp404 sampler
@@fisnik301 Yea but this level of creativity is insanity.
This album is A masterpiece from two of the best rap artists out right now. I love it more everytime I hear it. Here’s hoping we actually get Vol 2.
What color are you that they make fun of in the lyrics… goofball Democrat.
The dlc pack was insane too
And the spoken part from Danny on nonono like hello??
Theyre unrivaled, no competition
God loves you has to be my favourite, the sample is insane and the way the beat comes in THUMPING gives me shivers every time
This definitely SCARING THE DADS
Hell yea! I was hoping for this one to come next. I think it's the most accessible Peggy album that more people can appreciate.
It's like both the most experimental and accessible, really impressive
Imo it’s either dreamcast tapes or LP! That is most accessible this one is up there tho great record regardless!!
LP is accessible af imo

This is the most accessible??!… Damn, I need to listen to his shit.
I can't even imagine my dads reaction to this album lol, its so cool youre able to put your dad on!
are you saying your dad might be ho?

Thanks Lani!! ✌🏻

Maybe at some point
definitely should check out LP! AMHAC or veteran before those albums. wouldnt be appreciated as much
@@Zultzify agreed 👍🏼
@@Zultzify good thing they already did vet and amhac and are definitely doing LP soon
DiCaprio 2 is such an underrated album. You should have your dad react to it, I think he would like.
The album art is actually an edit of a real Blaxploitation movie poster
Oh wow!
Movie name please
‘Sweet Jesus, Preacherman’ is the name of the movie
Atrocity Exhibition PLEASE
XXX before AE.
XXX is a great buildup for AE.

Thank you thank you 🙏🏼
considering redveil was featured on this I think your dad would LOVE "learn 2 swim" by him
probable classic

I feel like STH will age better than LP over time

It’s in both artists top 3 bodies of work but LP(both versions) and AMHAC are better
STH is too short but bombastic. LP! is an album worth
LP is better. Love both but come on lol. As an album experience what beats that

when is the LP! reaction coming?
Very soon ✌🏻
You have to show your dad atrocity exhibition soon that would be an amazing video.
Awesome video, thank you guys for sharing :)

i feel like the young boy here loves that white dude that used to podcast with joe budden
I love who what

Love the reaction, Danny destroyed that last verse 😤
They are both great producers but what Kanye and JPEG make is so far from each other that I don’t think you can compare them, production wise
