Would need to double check though similar. We are onto the V4- videos releasing this week, if you are goin for upgrade get v4. New features justify price.
Great video thank you very much The strike is and feels heavier in my opinion in comparison to the V2 Nevertheless it would be great to have the swing 2 in comparison
Now we are on the V4! Released some videos - weight wise strike and swing seem similar and new wing similar to V3 weight wise though performance wise a solid increase as well overall functionality!
I’ve had the strike v2 since release and used over the 9-12 month period and recently a strike v3 since release. I did mention will make a follow up further down the line after 6-9-12 months of use and abuse… we do have more favorable conditions which allow us to do more water time than other locations. What someone might ride in a year, we do in a week and what someone rides in a lifetime we do in a year in Cabarete. That’s my gauge of long term ownership.
I’ve been using both. I personally felt both good. Used back to back and they work well and fairly similar. The rigidity of the neutral handle on V3 improves control slightly and the flatter profile feels like it doesn’t catch the wind at times but overall I feel similar and most importantly great on either or!
They tried to improve on the perfection of the V2 and failed. The V3 is more overbuilt and rides heavier with a lower profile giving advantage in overpowered situations but that’s about all. The low end isn’t nearly as good as the V2. Many people who are F One loyalists have been saying these do not fly as well. Hopefully they bring back a model that is the Strike V2. Best wing ever. V3 is not as good…..
Interesting perspective. Personally having both V2 and V3 testing back and forth without any specific methodology- personally the V3 is preferred myself. I have made certain adjustments almost naturally with pumping style and sizing of wings according to wind conditions I receive here in Cabarete. I have yet to try the Swing V3 though have some coming and by the looks/sounds it seems interesting as a contender for a day to day wing for wave riding and beginner/intermediate. Will need to try and test over time to formulate an opinion. I don’t agree F-ONE has failed just like Apple removing the headphone Jack has not failed. It’s different… in terms of loyalist do they currently ride V2s still or are riding V3s? If I saw people purposefully resorting to V2s I would be surprised. Most have upgrades and stuck to it because it was truly bad they would not keep riding them… just my 2cents.
@@charlesosterlund7303 I have a strike 2 CWC and demoed a V3 extensively. The V2 has much better low end grunt but the V3 is much beefier for the overpowered conditions. Also, there are many suggesting to go a half size up in the V3. Perhaps it’s my preference but to me the V2 is lighter and flies better until completely powered
@@Rom-lo7zs in regards to V3 CWC I have yet to try though I am already happy with the originals. I will have to compare this aspect. In regards to being .5 of a size up it might be a "fitting tip" to help people calibrate and compensate to the "new" technique needed to properly fly the wing... I do feel like it sounds more technical then it should since eventually it becomes second nature. So far when I use to ride a 5M I still ride a 5M and even have found myself in higher winds where I could use a 4.5 or 4.0 preferring to quick pumping method. With time just like the headphone jack example... People will get use to it and there will always be mixed feedback no matter how good or bad a product is... Ride what you like, seize the day and just have fun!
Is the V3's wingspan larger or smaller compared to the V2 (comparing equal surfaces of course)?

Yes I've seen those v4 videos... Very keen to see a review and side to side comparison
On water review being released soon! Stay tuned. See both tested and to be honest both were top. Could ride interchangeably and not really feel it.
Good review and video.
Thank you and will keep trying to live the dolce vita :)
what exactly do you consider long-term ownership?

Howy if the V3 riding waves vs V2?
