This came at a good time...mother-in-law had a stroke a few days ago; my sister-in-law, here from out of state to help with my mother-in-law has now been diagnosed with covid; leaky kitchen sink and we've been waiting days for the plumbers to install a new faucet; today my husband's car battery died....Sometimes I think God tests us to see if we're really going to trust Him in the rough times.
Such great advice. This thinking helps me deal with what is real not imagined. I can get caught in the spiraling thoughts of self loathing because I can’t get things done and move on. Besides the epidemic, I also had an illness that I found out about and have learned to completely adjust my life. I have had to learn that this is all part of Gods plan and to try not to stress that God is in control. I am learning to follow his direction for my life's path. Thank you

What a timely message which speaks directly to what so many of us are facing right now.....elevated stress levels. I appreciate concrete steps I can focus on to release those things I have no control over and the adjoining prayers so the enemy can't take further ground.
My categories are more vague not specific : worry, unsettled, uncertainty, privacy, independence, future, freedom, health, time, friendship/social life, future.
I saved this so I can go back and hear everything that was said a few more times. I understand a little more. My differently abled almost 18 year old daughter, and only child, is also a included in the majority of my stress categories/list since I am the only person to care and advocate for her. I'm 51 and disabled - a Veteran but not helped financially. We have basically no family or friend support. Our lives were much different before my mother passed away at 70 almost 12 years ago.
Diana I LOVED how you said to pray for our leaders. You added a excellent point. I am so grateful for the ministry God gave to you and your sister! He made you twins because he needed 2 people to pack that wisdom into! 😘😊

Do it everyday. It helps us not to do things in our own strength to face our stressors especilly to those that we cant control but he give us wisdom every time we need it to face stress that we have partial control..James 1:5 tells us that if you ask for wisdom, God will give it generously without finding fault: “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

He has decided that he chooses to trust science over faith in the existence of Yahweh and Yashua the Messiah. I think I have said everything that I can to encourage him to just have faith to believe. He says that he can't just believe in something that there isn't any scientific evidence for. I will apply in praying what I have learned today from this video. I also have been addicted to cigarettes for the past 28 years and I will also put into practice that prayer also. I am so very grateful for this video. I commented yesterday upon watching the vlog initially and waited prayerfully until this morning to make my list during my devotion time. Well, I made the list, but before I even did the markings, I jumped up, vacuumed and mopped, and felt so much less stress. Dirty house and clutter are two of my stressors. Thank you and Jim.

This reminded me of 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; No matter what it is, God considers it a light affliction. And what awaits us at our Lord’s return is greater than we can imagine. None of this will matter. When I’m in the thick of it (whatever that might be) I always say to myself, “if Jesus Christ came back today, would this matter?” And we all know what the answer is! Imagine hearing the sound of the trumpet!

This was a great exercise. I added a step by writing down (on the stress I have partial control of) what I could do to help myself stress less over each thing. This helped me pray for guidance.

Listened again to this video & did the exercises. I had a difficult time differentiating whether I had no & partial control on some of the stressors I listed. Did anyone else have a hard time? Would love to see a follow up video on this. Thank you Diana & Jim. Blessings!
I had some trouble, too. I don’t know how much control I have over all of the tasks I need to get done in a day at work, but then I suppose I do have the ability to say no to some requests...but I know that most people are just as busy and I want to be helpful. I don’t have control over what my coworkers do and don’t do, but I can choose my response and I can choose whether or not I’m going to pick up after them or let things go.
Thank you Diana and Jim…this was so, so good! I am going to share this with my 87 year old mom who has suffered bipolar depression her entire life. The last few years, her “cycles” of depression come every 4-5 weeks and last about 4 weeks. In between, she enjoys life at her assisted living and loves interacting and helping other residents. Then comes the depression….again. This has gone on for 70+ years. Would love for you two to do a (Part 2?) video involving these actions with mental illness. Diana thank you for this video. It brought me to tears a little as I felt pressure was released . All the things I worry about I have no control over. I have a been a viewer of yours on the minimaI mom for years and the one thing I missed most when you moved was the prayer at t he end that I loved listening to and watching the water flow. I hope you put that back in. I loved the prayer in this video and I would love to see you include more in it. This video was great but for the most part I think videos of around ten minutes are easier to consume as I had to watch this over two days (after writing my list I couldn’t get chance to watch until the next day, not that I spent a day on the list 😆) Lots of love and god bless you. Listened again to this video & did the exercises. I had a difficult time differentiating whether I had no & partial control on some of the stressors I listed. Did anyone else have a hard time? Would love to see a follow up video on this. Thank you Diana & Jim. Blessings!
I had some trouble, too. I don’t know how much control I have over all of the tasks I need to get done in a day at work, but then I suppose I do have the ability to say no to some requests...but I know that most people are just as busy and I want to be helpful. I don’t have control over what my coworkers do and don’t do, but I can choose my response and I can choose whether or not I’m going to pick up after them or let things go.

Thank you Diana and Jim…this was so, so good! I am going to share this with my 87 year old mom who has suffered bipolar depression her entire life. The last few years, her “cycles” of depression come every 4-5 weeks and last about 4 weeks. In between, she enjoys life at her assisted living and loves interacting and helping other residents. Then comes the depression….again. This has gone on for 70+ years.
Would love for you two to do a (Part 2?) video involving these actions with mental illness.

Diana thank you for this video. It brought me to tears a little as I felt pressure was released . All the things I worry about I have no control over. I have a been a viewer of yours on the minimaI mom for years and the one thing I missed most when you moved was the prayer at t he end that I loved listening to and watching the water flow. I hope you put that back in. I loved the prayer in this video and I would love to see you include more in it. This video was great but for the most part I think videos of around ten minutes are easier to consume as I had to watch this over two days (after writing my list I couldn’t get chance to watch until the next day, not that I spent a day on the list 😆)
