Great to see an update. Out here we would LOVE a daytime temperature of 30 C. That would almost feel brisk. Unfortunately our daytime highs are more in the 40 C to 44 C range, and our nighttime LOWS are 28 C.
tell you what Steve that is a cracking Quad, The Analog price is better, and the camera has a perfect picture this is a must-have great review as always Captain.
Since I only used camera drones up to now with proprietary batteries, I wonder how durable those LiPos are when always belly landing with the battery facing down. Doesn't that lead to damaging the batteries?
I watched your video in winter; now i watch your video in summer this is a nice place to live~ This is very lightweight! i think they could add a prop guard to it
If 30°C is too hot for you, try wearing a wide-brimmed hat, or sitting in the shade of a beach umbrella. Also, use a lens cleaning cloth and an anti-fogger in your goggles. I hope these tips are helpful.
Hi Steve Great video. This drone makes nice videos. In my country it is also 34 degrees. then you have to be careful with your drones and video equipment. This drone is of good quality, it can handle something. Thank you Steve. Happy flying I love your humor in this video especially when something goes wrong 👍😀✈🛩☀
It works like this in the RC Hobby. If you wish to fly an FPV drone, helicopter or plane, you buy any RC Hobby radio transmitter you wish. The radio you buy will be compatible with certain RECEIVERS. You’ll know this before you buy. For example if you buy a radio that is ELRS 2.4, then it means it is compatible with a receiver that is also ELRS 2.4 ghz. So if you buy an FPV Drone (any size) or helicopter or plane, you just have to order it with an ELRS 2.4 Receiver. That is how it works in the RC hobby. So the drone in this video came with an ELRS receiver which means I can bind it to any radio transmitter on the market that is ELRS (such as the Boxer Crush I used).
In Canada (my area) we have 4 very distint seasons, and each season is in the extremes, so winters are full of snow and massively cold. Summers are HUMID hot, so as the old folks have been saying... it's not the heat it's the Humidity that kills you.
@CAPTAINDRONE798, I get what you are saying, I guess I just live in a odd spot in terms of climate, we can get almost to 100° Fahrenheit in high summer, but in the winter sometimes we will get under 10°F. Right now its in the 80s and slightly breezey, so its pretty nice. Anyway, if I may ask a question, how much weight do you think a E max Tinyhawk 2 freestyle could lift? I am considering getting one so I can put a camera on it, but it might be too heavy and I want your opinion on it.
Hey Steve, Rain X makes something to put on your car's windshield to have the rain far off. They also make something to go on the inside to keep the windshield from fogging up. I used this on my glasses and works great. Try it.
Very nice little drone. When your back from vacation would you consider doing a video on the best system to use flying FPV with a screen ( No Goggles). I fly solo mostly in the US which means I can not legally fly FPV outdoors because I have no spotter (visual observer) I'm thinking of using the walksnail system with a monitor.. Thanks so much for awesome video as always.
I don’t think it would fly in Houston area if you are having trouble with 86 F. Our days right now are 95-99 in afternoon. I would have to wait until this fall and winter, but I really like the clear video and toughness of this drone. You made a fun but factual video about it. 👍👍😀
I fly my 5 inch drone and whoop in Arizona 105 weather. It's fine but can't be out in the middle of the sun. More like when the sun is kinda going down and have shades around. Works
Fun! I have to ask you, are all your neighbors cool with you flying? We have sooo many drone karens here, there's always one. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!
To be honest, most of my neighbours never see me flying drones, helicopters or even small planes on my street because I tend to fly on weekdays early in the morning when most of them are still in their Zombie state.
What would you suggest for agriculture purposes? I'd like something I can fly from inside at my desk, so I can check on the fence and the cows. I just found your channel really enjoy your knowledge an content. Have a great vacation sir!
I live in a much warmer climate than you (Midwest US); however, we took a family vacation in Montreal and Quebec City July and although the temps weren’t as high as ours, it felt way worse, for some reason. TLDR: Canada’s heat is way worse in-person than it is on paper. 😂
This is a good drone but I don't understand why anyone needs this if hglrc draknight is have more power And in my opinion this drone is not much better, correct me if I'm wrong
The LIGHTNING 2 is much smaller and lighter than the DRAKNIGHT, which means you can fly it in more spots without bothering people. Also the DRAKNIGHT can handle the DJI O3 Camera, which then turns it into a CINEMA Quad, whereas with the LIGHTNING 2 you would have to add an external camera to achieve that.
You should try wearing a bandana on your forehead to mitigate the sweat issue. In addition, grab some anti-fog spray from a sporting goods store or scuba diving shop or maybe Amazon. Spray the anti-fog cheese on the lens . Wipe, repeat…. Go fly!!
If this one got a "Hot" rating from the "Master of Dronage" El Capitan Drone !! Pay heed folkes ! This one would likely make Tractor man put in for early retirement !!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
HOVERAir has announced the X1 Pro and X1 Pro Max, which are already quite better than the Neo. This is madness 😐 Of course the Neo will be much cheaper and be released in a week. But HOVERAir has really killed me. Waiting for the Neo reviews. Apparently, UA-camrs already have em.
Hey I am a newbie or you can say me a beginner in drone stuff I just search a combo kit for me and I find sab 250 whoop fly 16 I have just one question can I use this combo kit remote to practice drone simulator in pc ? Also same time the display to as realistic as can
Lol my DJI Goggles 3, fog up like that also. I have to run the fan all the time. I carry a lens cloth in a zip lock bag, when I fly my Avata 2 & DJI FPV Drone. It comes in really handy.
Another great video Cap'n. So tempted by all these drones you review, but the laws are so stupid here in the UK, that it really puts mew off. I'd say this thou if this drone shutdown when it's only 30C, what about places in the US or Asian countries, where 30C isn't that hot? I mean I'm from Glasgow, the last time it was 30C here was a good couple of years ago, so 30C would be hot for us too, in fact folk around here are so pale they catch fire at anything over 28C, lol.
Oh, this is very normal for the VTX in most FPV drones. If you power them on & they are at full video power, they get hot and if you don’t takeoff within 45 seconds you have a chance of overheating. Even DJI camera drones like the Minis and Mavics overheat and shut off, so they way they get around that is that they switch to super low video output when the props are not spinning, and then when the props spin the video goes to full power. In the FPV hobby, with tiny drones, there is no such feature.
Yes, Steve, the drone can be very durable, but the one who deserves more admiration is the poor LiPo battery that received all your "affection" 💥💥 haha. Regards.
Flying in a populated neighborhood, you put a bad image on drone users across Canada. In Ontario, a wave of people who hate drones is something I'm starting to see become more of a problem for regular flying. It's because you get beginner drone users flying over peoples houses, or right above people without permission. I was in a wide open field, in a safe fly zone - no restrictions, and some old grandpa comes up to me and tells me to stop flying or he will call the cops. Of course I stopped, but I asked him what was the matter and he said that he was annoyed by the flying. Another instance, different field, no restrictions fly zone, some old ladies were complaining about the drone flying and the noise it made and it wasn't even as loud as the lawn mowers in the far distance. Another scenario; I was in a wide open multi-soccer park field, no games on. In another field I had some guy run over to me to tell me to stop flying.... I wasn't doing any of this crazy stuff like flying over houses, or above people or doing pestering flying. Just flying to learn features and familiarity. I always fly mindfully and respectfully... so please don't teach the new people to this to fly over people and houses.... It's going to kill it for the rest of us.
You are very unfortunate. You see, my goal is to get people into the RC hobby and in order to do that I have to be very careful with anything I fly. This means my neighbours trust me to be safe and when you see me at fields or at a beach, the community and city is aware that I’m a very safe person. Most times if you see a human in my videos other than me, they are all my community members and know me well. If you have issues it is because others have ruined it for you or you are making the newbie mistake of flying around people. Fly in the early morning as the sun is rising, away from humans, and no one will bother you
You said it yourself, no restrictions. Just because someone is annoyed does not force your to stop flying. I fly up and down my street everyday and everyone loves it, especially the kids. If you are going to bash everyone who flies because they fly in legal places find a new hobby!
Captain drone you said about 2 months ago DJI will make a fpv drone for beginners in the future 2 months later the DJI neo is coming in September I didn't think it will be so soon

Excited for this, I was waiting for your review for this one! Thank you
Nice video again Steve! That little fpv is a smooth flyer! Keep up the reviews when you have time! Enjoy the rest of vacation

Awesome! I was waiting for thing like this with walksnail literally forever
Great Video Captain Steve. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Fun video ! 😃
Nice demo of a cool drone ,
Thanks Cap !!
Another good review Steve.
I always think - why does the camera stick out in front of the frame, at least a little?
Is this so that new cameras are bought more often?
Since I only used camera drones up to now with proprietary batteries, I wonder how durable those LiPos are when always belly landing with the battery facing down. Doesn't that lead to damaging the batteries?
In the FPV hobby, placing batteries on the bottom is the most common. Hobby grade lipo batteries are extremely durable.
The gnb's for that little drone are like 6-8 bucks each if u get them from ali. Even if they get damaged its no big deal...
That "Wooooow!!! 🤣🤣
Bloody tough drone, cheers Captain another good short an sweet entertaining review!
I like the set up enjoy the your vacation

Oops, I crashed it... Brilliant video, fun little drone, and a survivor of much abuse! Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
How so you bind it to the boxer?
Is it make a new model first then bind? Or copy the elrs model then bind?
Watch this video & do the same thing on the BOXER. ua-cam.com/video/GgaWMvAHZi8/v-deo.htmlsi=7-R0jx6l3ewm6dv2

Good morning captain cool video nice drone
? Instead if buying a rtf fpv what radio is compatible with woops. Is there one thats reasonable price thats universal?

Flies just like the real Lightning 2😂

Banggood coupon doesn't work overseas
What is it made of?
I believe the video covers that
You consider 86° farenheight hot? Thats a normal summer day where I live.
In Canada (my area) we have 4 very distint seasons, and each season is in the extremes, so winters are full of snow and massively cold. Summers are HUMID hot, so as the old folks have been saying... it's not the heat it's the Humidity that kills you.

So cool and cute ,So amazing video💖💖💖
If the heat was giving you problems, why didn't you go into the shade?
Humidity and ambient temps continue in the shade
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Betcha a dollar it's cooler.
To prevent lens fogging..clean them with shaving cream. The alcohol will not let the lenses fog up.
Hey Steve, Rain X makes something to put on your car's windshield to have the rain far off. They also make something to go on the inside to keep the windshield from fogging up. I used this on my glasses and works great. Try it.
A drop of liquid soap does the job also. The soap breaks the surface tension, so no fog drops anymore. Old trick used on my helmetvizor
Great video Steve, walksnail I believe will work with fat shark dominator goggles?
Yes, the new HD FATSHARKs that sell for around $169 US.
