Nothing wrong with dropping out bro. I got a Bachelors in Computer Science just to end up going back to concrete and asphalt testing because the job market is so saturated.
@MrNightStand best of luck! I've also had a successful and fufulling career in trades since dropping out. I just think there are so many wonderful things to learn in sciences.
As a novice taxidermist currently making mostly rugs and pillows this is really helpful! We get a lot of animals with weird shaped holes and the skin can lay very strangely
My local vet closed a massive round hole (from removing a skin tumor) on my dog, he didn’t use this technique so now my dog has these two loose skin bumps on her flank.
I really hope someone can answer this for me. So I have a similar round hole in my sweatpants. Will this method fix the hole in my pants? Or does it only work with suturing skin? And If it only works with skin, does anyone know a sewing method to fix a hole like that? If anyone is able to help me out and provide a little insight. I greatly appreciate all helpful comments & responses, in advance. Thank you
for sweatpants probably especially if they aren't that fitted but if it was a tight fit or structured fabric it would not. generally for straight up holes patches are better mending or embroidery is also an option but requires practice
When I was 12-13yrs old I accidentally put my arm through a glass door and a huge chunk of my arm was taken out of it along with five extra holes in my elbow. But the chunk on my arm was to big to stitch up was it because it didn’t have any extra skin to fix it
I do this in taxidermy as well!! You don’t want to see the ‘dog ears’ on a finished deer mount so then you gotta cut those triangles to make it all lay flat. My teacher called them footballs or eyes
Wow I wish the doctor who operated on me had used something like this or some other method other than whatever he did. My scar on my coccyx is just overlapping skin and looks horrible I've had the scar for 4 years now and I still feel disgusting whether I feel it, see it in the mirror or just subconsciously think about it.
About 10 seconds into this video I went “eh?” And I didn’t really understand a single thing from that point on 😅 It’s okay though. I’m not a surgeon or anything 😂
She literally just said the reason in the video you dmbfck. The scars heal flatter this way and there's no weird skin flaps that get left behind after healing.
When the surgeon starts using your skin to finish his geometry homework
Why is tje skin black
@@gabrielvillapando3632 BECAUSE YOU'RE BLACK!
@@gabrielvillapando3632 be the most fr you’ve ever been
@@gabrielvillapando3632 because black people exist??
Because people have different skin tones and colors bud
I like to think surgeons draw master pieces and some new surgeon is trying to figure out how to make the said masterpiece an incision.
Wild shit man. Im just a college dropout, but yall doctors are so good at solving problems. We need to focus on sciences.

Wish there were more ppl like you in the world bro
@BP-bq9uz ✊️
That... Honestly explains some of the weird shaped scars I have.
harry potter wasn't so special after all
@@alegendsock2581 lmao
You have no idea how helpful this is when doing arts and crafts lol
As a novice taxidermist currently making mostly rugs and pillows this is really helpful! We get a lot of animals with weird shaped holes and the skin can lay very strangely
Do you have a channel? It may have issues getting monitised but working through the steps for an audience lights up different parts of the brain
@ nah. I work for a relatively big taxidermist in Texas. He has a instagram but a UA-cam channel so a little too much work for my liking
"Oh god, the angle isn't correct, le me try it again."
*Tears the skin of the patient again*
No tearing just slicing
Taking notes not bc im a surgeon but because it could be useful for sewing lol
I work in fashion and the same concept is applied to seams that get too much pressure so this makes total sense
As someone who is going to uni for mathematics, i never thought about this, how geometry helps in surgery! So cool!
i actually use the pretty same techniqes when sewing, cus fabric has a lot of similar problems when patching it
I honestly thought this was about fabric at first
And this is why Harry Potter had a bad surgeon
So, you're telling me the optimal surgery cut is bird
My local vet closed a massive round hole (from removing a skin tumor) on my dog, he didn’t use this technique so now my dog has these two loose skin bumps on her flank.
Navy med cut off a mole for cancer screening, cut a simple hole. Left me with dog ears for about two weeks before they healed up
I really hope someone can answer this for me.

It also gives a lightning bolt scar so you feel like a dark lord is after you
I learn so much from your videos thank you
My homework walked away after he woke up...
my patient watching me do math on their skin
Reminded me of my finger where doc do skin graph
That's why I have that stupid perfectly triangular scar, I thought it was my past life tattoo or something
When I was 12-13yrs old I accidentally put my arm through a glass door and a huge chunk of my arm was taken out of it along with five extra holes in my elbow. But the chunk on my arm was to big to stitch up was it because it didn’t have any extra skin to fix it
nice, I saved this for later

Woah how’d I understand that so easily
I had a stroke trying to understand what the hell she was telling me
Holy, math is in everything!
Hear me out:
Voldemort punched a small hole in Harry’s forehead and plastic surgeons had to do this cut to prevent dog-ears.
Does that give a lightning scar?
Wow I wish the doctor who operated on me had used something like this or some other method other than whatever he did. you could try scar patches or cream to fade it
Where did you get that sheet from
oh i have a scar on my thumb this shape from surgery and i always wondered why they cut it like that!!!
Why are you stealing my skin tho
It's time to put this away in my brain for to never be used unless I need it for a fun fact because I have no plans on becoming a surgeon
Im trying this next time
HEYY STOP USING ME FOR GEOMETRY HOMEWORRKK!!
About 10 seconds into this video I went “eh?” And I didn’t really understand a single thing from that point on 😅

Yah take a small diameter hole and make it 4 times bigger. Yep.
I know its close density to our skin but latex really?
Is that the stitching thing that If not done well can lead to a harry potter looking skar?
Wait so to close ur skin u need to cut more of it, interesting
Can you just do the circle with the dog ears for my stitches please? Like that second ones a lot of cutting bro..
Yes but it allows your skin to properly heal with minimal scarring
we can grow skin, but removing scars is near damn impossible
Trust me dog ears skin will be far worse than a few extra cuts
This is all just gibberish to me but im glad youre doing good work
i love math
Some students choose doctors course to avoid math same for cs student , it'sa big a&& prank 🤡
when the surgeon starts using your skin to finish her geometry homework
Stop copying bro your right under him😭
The udea that the surgeon has to take away some of my skin to be able to fix my skin is not a fun one
learnt this is sewing class
🤯Damn I don't know shit‼️
You gotta be different to come up with that move
Does this trick only work on black skin?
What?
What.
Diy bellybutton removal
huh
Didn’t ask
You scrolled
Dont care
But isnt that idiotic? Giving people bigger than necesary scars for literally no reason
actually east-west flaps tend to help makes the scars less noticable and tends to look better after healing than doing it the other way.
She literally just said the reason in the video you dmbfck. The scars heal flatter this way and there's no weird skin flaps that get left behind after healing.
if i found out that they did that to my skin after a surgery i’d re open the surgery area they did that to
Youd prefer having permanent bumps around your scar?
@@MrNightStand yes 🥰🥰🥰
why
surgery is basically geometry then?
Surgery has geometry but it's not exactly geometry
