    Whats your thoughts? Let me know if another rival would be better

      The Mini cooper is smaller and less well equipped, but arguably handles better and is quicker. (However I prefer the SSS looks and rarity) I would appreciate a video about the SSS suspension handling, show and tell please. Nice content, keep it up.

      Thanks for the reply. What mods do you recommend for handling? Is a rear ARB one of them?

    • @Dan_AYP
      @Dan_AYP  2 роки тому +1

      @@kingmikeyfreedom so with the rear roll bar, sure it will make it feel more stable but, on hard cornering I'd bet it woul make it want to step out even more, which in my opinion the sss does really well already. So I'd say, coilovers, rear toe plates to dial out the OEM toe in and strut braces front and rear. Brake pads are always the first thing to start letting go (fade) when driving passionately though and tyres quickly follow. So they'd be my first 2 mods for general handling before all the above. Wheel specs I learned are best at the 17x7.5 j et45 to 40 at most offset wise. 215/40r17s are the most you'll fit under the stock arches without rolling them etc which is 20mm more than stock per corner or 40mm more per axle 👍 it's all down to driver preference though as some like a fwd to step out alot

    I was driving the Suzuki with 58,7 mpg mostly in the city recently. Love it. I also drove the abarth 500 and 595 for 8,5 years before and had so much trouble with them. Very poor quality.🙂

    Love the video Pal , I have the same car and it’s actually my 5th swift sport 😂 had them all. Mines a 69 plate last of the none hybrid and running around 180 bhp currently on stock turbo with bolt ons and a map. Such an underrated car people don’t realise what they are! Managed 8 weeks on my mk8 fiesta st and sold it for another swift sport. Lighter, more reliable and more fun . Look forward to more content !

      Thanks for your comment mate! Bet the 180hp in these things is a right laugh 😁 I'd bet this one gets a similar treatment at some point. Thanks again and I hope to see you in the comments again soon mate

      Did you own a 32s? Does the new one handle as good as that one does? My 32 grips like nothing else.. also does the new version feel much quicker stock for stock as the 0-60 dash is similar

      @iNSTAGiB I can't say I've had much exposure to the fiesta st other than the passenger seat of 1 but, reviews wise they do very well as far as handlings concerned. I'd recommend watching "TheSmokingTire" for more reviews on how car feel and respond. He's certainly well versed in many cars

    Cracking cars, I love mine and it most definitely feels quicker than the figures suggest and can realistically get the mpg the manufacturers says if you're sensible. Other plus is that with all the safety features its cheaper to insure than most of the alternatives. Only one currently i could be tempted to swap it for is the i20N.

    I've been deliberating about one of these for a while, think I will pull the trigger later in the year. A remap from CTC ought to make it pretty lively when they're so light!

    I prefer the exterior styling of the previous model (1.6 Sport) and wish the 2017 model had a better choice of wheels. Can't argue with the lighter weight and faster acceleration but there are so many reports of them being nowhere near as much fun to drive as the revy 1.6 Sport - a case of all torque and no pizazz?

    • @JaneDoe-ft7ln
      @JaneDoe-ft7ln 29 днів тому

      Have owned both and they're both a lot of fun. The 1.4t is much easier to drive in everyday situations and the extra pull from the increased torque won't suck you back into your seat but does feel good from any engine speed when you're on the throttle. The 1.6 has no pull to speak of and you have to rev the nuts off to make progress. Yes it's fun but can also be tiresome sometimes too, especially in traffic.

    Hi - I have one now, can it go through a carwash because the aerial doesnt seem to screw out?
    Anyone?

    • @Dan_AYP
      @Dan_AYP  2 роки тому +4

      As an enthusiast, I would never drive through a car wash. The risk of damage and scratches outweigh the convenience massively for me. Same goes for side street hand car washes. I'd rather buy 2 buckets and spend 2 hours doing it myself 👍

    Few things.. these roll around 150bhp standard, anyone compare the previous model to this? I’ve got the last gen car and think I’d prefer this for the lazy diesel power delivery.. oh and did think of the st but I’m over 17 and they’re getting stolen from every drive

    • @Ohlukei
      @Ohlukei Рік тому

    • @Dan_AYP

      I'm certainly a Honda guy but, I think the light weight of the swift embodies the older civics of yesteryear better than the current Honda offerings do... And I'm a very big eg guy as I currently own 2 and a em1 coupe

      Your certainly right my fellow Dan 👍 I'm starting to really take notice of Suzuki swifts thanks in part to your videos. I love that they are a little left field and embody the light weight, old school Japanese feel. But on the flip side Honda's extra weight in my eyes Lean's towards build quality. Loving the content though keep it up 🤘

      @@1386dang25 fellow Dan 😂 love it, but yeah man, 100 agree with quality but, I genuinely can't fault the swift, it's a little noisy on the mway but, what 90s civic isn't haha the swift doesn't interior rattle though unlike the 20+ year old civics I've got haha but, with all cars it will come with time I'm sure

    You can reliably push to 200hp completely stock. Engine is nice here with although a bit shitty powerband.
