You say to set depth at 1/2'''. on the tails (first cut) what if your working with 3/4"' boards and how are you allowing for the distance of the plate you set your router base on?
This thing is not a tool but a toy. the frame is so flimsy it won't keep the wood tight. it is so inconsistent as to be unusable. I wasted an entire day trying to get it to work and gave up. the thumbscrews on the side that is vacant vibrate shut from the router vibration. I am disappointed as I liked the design usable on my router table. It is back to the old Craftsman dovetail jig. The subtle but important setup details in the video were left out. I noticed the finished dovetail had the same runout problem as mine. I even calibrated the setting of the dovetail bit with my combination square to make sure bot sides were the same. I really wish this could have worked as I liked the idea. The construction is just too flimsy. There is no sarcasm intended, just an honest review.
This video is wonderful, Mr. Acevedo!! Thank you, very much!!!!
You showed how to do the tails for a long board but didn't for the pins.
Good video except for the irritating background "music"
Very informative, but why the 1970s video quality?
Thanks, helped.. lost the instructions .. but this made it simple now.

Looks like you filmed and edited this in 1978
Great Information!
I am looking for a video for making through dovetails but with no luck. The instructions in the user manual are terrible. Can you please help. Thanks.
After following the instructions down to the absolute last letter, the tails were too wide to fit in the pins, without exception.
Never got it to work…
Thanks
