I've driven my baja rey with an FPV live feed screen and it's definitely a unique challenge ! really immersive though. But the "scale" speed feels like I'm going 500mph and it gets scary lol
This is what I'd like to build for a 100mph off road car. It's so big and stable... with a massive power upgrade I think it could get there and perform well

Hello Kev there is a super cool hill climb in nightingale valley Bristol it’s super tall and steep and it’s by a tree with bricks in it, I call it hoss hill because the traxxas hoss is the only car ( or person ) to ever climb it

NO matter HOW you film these 1/5 scales it never gives it the justice it deserves. I have a MTXL and NO video can give you the real size until it's in front of you. Same as the DBXL. Just BIG BIG BIG.
I upgraded mine with 19T pinion and it reached 111 km/h. Also 19T is the biggest that will fit on stock motor mount. One more note, losi didn't use enough threadlocker on this model so check the front dogbones, becouse on mine the front left pin backed out and did some damage.

Awesome rig. Looks like she needs some heavier fluid in the front. Thinner in the rear. Thicken up the center and she’s going to nose dive a lot less. Reminds me of a stock Typhon 6s jumping. Awesome video 🍻🤜

At a guess I could say the project would be to take the longest jump record as I said some while back the losi DB XLE was the car for the job. Around 33lbs with batteries in, distance isn't all about speed but momentum. If you can get this doing 70mph (fit castle XLX2 and turn the amps up and the speed pinion). Then that'll have far more momentum than a 15lb car doing 100mph. And I have the DB XL-e v1 and it'll clear 30ft+vertical without a problem, but can you front flip it like me :-)
Years ago a friend of mine was talking on his CB, using his new D104 microphone (Looks like a chrome lollipop) and the battery that came with it was dead, so no audio (Built in amp). He got out a new pack of 9v batteries and the mike was still dead with both new batteries. He got frustrated and decapitated his several hours old microphone! He touched all three batteries to his tongue and they were all totally dead. What were the odds? The mic head can't really be fixed permanently, so he had to cough up the dough for a new one. Lesson learned, buy a battery tester and always check the batteries first. I had a similar, but non violent problem with my cable box remote. I got a 4 pack of AA batteries and all four of them were DOA. I assummed they were OK, and was ready to go trade the remote in for a replacement at the cable company office, but I remembered the mic smashing from years ago, and tested the batteries and they were all dead. I had more and soon was able to change the channel!

I throughly enjoyed the radio smashing session with the music haha. As a mechanic we do this almost daily with tools or something else (heavy equipment don’t worry I don’t do this to your cars haha). I really like the dbxle 2.0 and the DX5C is my go to radio right now. I was thinking of a 5T 2.0 as my large scale but seeing this big electric beast I’m gonna have to look into the buggy. It took a good beating I wouldn’t be as rough lol. Special project you will convert it to gas hahah jk
kev, p l s get the ftx outlaw and the ftx outback they are soo good i have them and if u stick the outkaw on brushless or buy the brushless version it does 40 offroad!
I have an idea for a new intro. When the weather warms up a bit so you don't have to get salt all over the chassis of your Lambo. Place whatever the RC box you have on top of the spoiler, have one camera set up a little away from the car and one ready for the slow mo drop. Launch control the car and capture the RC you have falling off and hitting the ground 👌. Just a thought 😁
My biggest mistake was subscribing to this channel. It's made me buy an X-Maxx and now I need to buy a part as I broke it 35 minutes later. I can see this being an expensive hobby but I could always remortgage the house or sell a kidney. Awesome channel. Gives me something new to watch whilst waiting on my delivery of parts.
