Clicked on this because my grandfather built his geodesic dome home in Burlington Wisconsin I think ‘70s /early 80s. I was too young to appreciate it as I do now. He’s been gone 20 years so I haven’t seen in that long. I hope the new owners really enjoy the space. Nice to have the memories.
This brought back so many fond memories of my studies in architecture and interior design, with a day long study/conference with RBF in 1970. So glad you renovated such a jewel!
HOW COOL THIS HOUSE IS. YOU BOTH ARE VERY BLESSED TO HAVE THIS ICON. DONT EVER TEAR IT DOWN EVEN IF YOU TIRE OF IT. YOUR A BUILDER. FIND THE ORIGINAL PLANS,MODIFY IF YOU MUST AND SELL THE PLANS TO THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO LIVE IN THIS KIND OF HOUSE FULL TIME AND NOT RENT IT OUT. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO.
Nice to see the price on this one, especially considering the area. I can actually afford to visit this one, haha. What a neat looking place and the look of it at night is so warm and cozy too. The color of the stove and that whole vibe just adds to it as well.
I honestly didn’t think I was going to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised it’s fabulous! I would definitely stay here if I had the chance 😊 the surrounding area is so beautiful to sit there & to watch the wildlife would be amazing!
Such a beauty to experience something unique yet still homey. Hope tourism is picking up by this time. Thank you for sharing. God bless your channel and all endeavors ahead
What a coincidence. I was watching Shawn James build a geodesic greenhouse and thought wouldn't it be cool to live in one. And now this video. Amazing.
Love this geodome. Watched Levi Kelly’s channel this morning featuring a geodome outside of Leander, Texas on Lake Travis (Austin area). Two very different but beautiful homes! Thanks for sharing! 😎✌️🤙🤘😎
Why are you not doing a video on Incredible Tiny Homes in Newport Tennessee? They build some (500 or more) incredible custom tiny's that are affordable and they even have places/communities for you to put your tiny house. Can't believe you haven't heard of it.
The couple considered living it but it didn't meet their needs but wanted others to enjoy it. We showcase a wide range of tiny house content, mostly lived in full time, but include a handful of Airbnbs. Do you just not like the Airbnb host stories?
@@TinyHouseExpedition yes, many channels are becoming saturated with Airbnb stories. I find them less relatable and less interesting because they are commercial stories primarily. I still watch all your content but hope that you might be interested in my feedback. And I do understand the need for sponsorships and that possibly creating content is more challenging in light of the pandemic. Just really like your channel in general and hope you continue to provide the quality content I've so enjoyed in the past. Cheers!
@@arshy45 thanks for sharing your feedback and for watching! We try to select only Airbnb stories with a strong design inspiration and a strong personal connection from the owners; sometimes folks who used to live in them. We only plan to do a handful every year, but yeah it’s been harder getting new content in the pandemic. But that’s starting to change 😊
@@TinyHouseExpedition thanks for accepting the feedback in the positive light it was intended. And I hope that things continue to pick up. Mostly I hope there's positive movement with regards to the pandemic because it's just been way too tragic all around. Cheers again my friends!
I think these well- chosen Airbnb 's, even some that don't meet the tiny house genre, are just as interesting, and also opportunities for anyone to preview a travel stay they might truly enjoy. A tiny houser might never build one like this, but they might take a trip here from time to time. Might also inspire a tiny build in this style! I understand that some might not like these Airbnb features, but I sure do! Keep up the good work, and know that not everyone will like every video, but every tiny house channel is having a challenge right now, and Airbnb is stepping in to support them. Everyone benefits! Much better than creepy Manscape ads...
Why wouldn’t they have put the kitchen back where the sofa & living room is & put the sofa & living room in front of those huge windows??! Most people are terrible at interior decorating & design (space planning), it amazes me!

Glad you enjoy it!

The dome has no closets so not well suited for long term living

Love your dome! Esp love the little metal critters that are carrying off the gnome...😅
Those cracked us up 😂

We love a good coincidence! After experiencing this dome, we've thought hard about building one too :)
No coincidence, just Google tracking.
@@annrhodes3544 i am subbed to both.

Awesome !!
Thanks for sharing this. I'm building a 40 ft 5/8 dome now in SE CT.
Wonderful; best wishes with your build! Please let us know if you’d like to collaborate in the future 😊 tinyhouseexpedition.com/get-featured/
Excellent presentation, thank you
I appreciate how all the ads destroyed the enjoyment out of this. Well done.
I use UA-cam so much it’s worth every penny to pay $15.99 a month for no ads.
Not their fault (and UA-cam knows you don't have another option), so you're going to have to just get over it. 🤷
@@kristinjayne6720 That's about $200/yr, so No Thanks.
Enjoy cleaning says everything that needs said .. love ur place ..
Starting mine in 2 days ..subbed now... why didn't I see this vid a year ago.. 🤣
Thank you!!
My sister and brother in law have lived in a dome house since 1982 in Ohio.
I love the dome house.I find the entry way interesting as well. Can you share info on it dimensions etc? Thanks
Beautiful place! How in the world do you clean the outside of those windows?
Good question! They have a squeegee on a long pole, but their rocking climbing son has also helped with the trickiest spots 😄🧗♂️
I like dome house
That's almost a sphere!
There’s a little house almost identical to this one in Cohutta, Ga😁

We have heard of them and would like to film at their communities when we get a chance 😊
I'd like to make a shout-out to all my dome'ys.
Lol
Does anyone live in tiny houses any more? Those are interesting to me. Airbnb commercials are not. So sad the way your channel content is going.
