I have a small size wrist (50mm) so I decided to go to a dealer this morning and tried the watch on.It is very big but probably not too huge to wear.I am not sure I would buy it though. My advice: unless you are a 100 kilo plus guy with a 60mm wrist,then don't bother.
I loved this review ... 6 years on and I love this model ... Its just looks so good... I actually like the negative display because it looks better ... the bright lcd though easier to read takes away from the look of the watch imo .... Awesome review man!
Man i just love mine with resin band and positive display, cant stop looking at this watch, my next watch must be new G-steel GST-210D,hope u can do a review about it!!

By the way if you don't mind me asking, you can have the digital time always displayed on the left digital display constantly correct? I've seen it show the date in pictures of these watches and some show the time so I'm guessing you can alternate between time and date on these?

Reversed LCD is the only complaint but you can see it fairly well. How many times do you need to check the date and day of the week in one day anyway. I love the watch. Very well made. I own 25 Invictas including some $500 ones. Zeus' and titanium models. They are all falling apart piece by piece. This watch is great. $350 everywhere. I bought it on Amazon for $230. Well worth it.

they have made these in a smaller version now and added Multiband 6 to it!! the one im getting looks just like the one in your video but its 49mm and it doesn't have the negative displays! this is its model number casio g steel gst-w310d-1ajf

this is a pretty neat watch. i have an all metal g shock from few years back, an all titanium mrg g shock that i absolutely love , easily in my top 2 for all watches i own including my swiss autos. the mrg are casios forray into a high end market but never really meant to or tried to penetrate the u.s. all that much, i think these g steel are a good mid range step and smart them. its hard for some folks to go from an 80-100 usd std gshock to a 2000 or more mrg.
for the features it has but w more tolerable case (my mrg is a luttle older so case is smaller which i like) and also a dressier op., i really like those casio oceanus, like mrg they are made on a different assembly line/bench w only their most experienced and top notch makers working on them.
would love to see you review something from that line sometime .

I don't mind the size. Its the lack of lume. If they gave it real lume like Seiko lume, it might interest me. LCD is a turn-off for me.

I love the solid metal finish. I just wish the LCD was positive. The negative LCD makes it difficult to view in various light conditions unless you turn on the backlight

Isn't this the GST-S110? There is a newer model of this watch that's called the GST210 but I don't think the one in the video is it...
Not hating on the GST-S110, it's still a great watch and I think it looks better than the GST210!

You should have bought the GSTS100D-1A2, the lcd has the positive display. BTW. The Rangeman is just as big as this one.
I have the GST B100. Love the metal G-shocks! Mine doesn't have any digital displays, which I actually prefer.

Thanks for the review! Nice video! If you look for the price get a smart watch instead. Casio and Timex are pretty much good as good as the battery. No need to get a new battery it is more expensive than the watch.
I realy like the looks of many G shock,s but the most off this watches are simply too big for me. So i wish that they can make it also in a smaller size. Somewhere between 40 and 42 mm would be perfect.

Does the same design come with Bluetooth? I love this but bluetooth on my Gst B200 is pretty accurate and I don't have to adjust it any once in 3-6 months ... Radio or Multi Band does not really work where I stay which is In India ... Appreciate any feedback on this ...

They sell this watch with a regular digital display and it's cheaper because it comes with a rubber strap.
Reserved LCD sucks. That is the reason why I didn't buy this watch. I almost got it.

watch? I like metal, but this has too much, too thick, very wasteful.

I'll stick to digital g shocks. Practicality, durability and light weight.

I agree the hands are generic and not much styling on the dial. And that LCD screen is sad.
G-Shock should have a pure analog line with Superluminova. I might be interested then.

"Metal is not very shock resistant." That's why all of my hammers shatter immediately. The resin if for cost. The high end g shocks are all metal.
Metal transfers the force and that is why it has low shock resistance when it comes to watches. Resin absorbs most of the force and dissipates it, hence why its preferred.
