Hello, as a local and to respect the culture I would suggest learning how to spell and say Hawai'i correctly with the 'okina. Typically it's pronounced with a V as in ha-VAI-ee, but locals also sometimes pronounce it as ha-WAI-ee, mainly with the emphasis that there is an 'okina. I hope I'm not coming off rude, I just wanted to provide some feedback. Glad to hear you're exploring and loving the island as a student!
