thanks for the comparison (grumpygreen only shows the base ship stats), I'm 3rd week into sea content and burning silver to get the mats to get my 1st carrack, your video gave me second thoughts about going for advanced. Though I may never reach the point, but after crunching some numbers, advanced can do a single T2-T3 run without being overweight with Ship Outfit +600LT, Sea Crystal +1200LT, 5xT4 Bos'n Jack + 1000LT, you'll have 27,300LT; Even without those, being able to do T1-T2 in a single run without being overweight is already a big timer saver. So yes I'll still go for advanced as planned, while working on volante for crow and magoria run.
T1 to T2 runs only weigh 8000LT, so not sure what you mean by that. As for the Advance over Balance, you're comparing full blue +10 gear numbers, that is fine. The Advance gets the highest weight with all the extra bling, however you're also talking about doing Margoria and crow coin runs with a Volante. Are you planning on getting Blue gear for that too? Or atleast green gear for both ships? Mind you, full green gear costs 40 000 crow coins and full Blue gear, 200 000 crow coins. And that is leaving out the cost of crow coins for the enhancement stones. Are you planning on getting all of those crow coins with the slowest ship? And farming up the materials needed for blue gear with the ship that does the least amount of damage to sea monsters and has the lowest canon reload time?
@@Jaeona 1 full T1-T2 run is 24,000LT (10x3x800) :) my main focus right now is to reduce the total number of barter runs as much as possible so I'll only focus on gears that increases weight limit. With hakoven trade in have an alt frigate stationed at ancado just for it. Once I have my advanced I'll shift my focus on upgrading my gallease to carrack which will be used for sea monster hunting. :)
Nice video. I have an Advanced and a Valor right now. Basically, use the Advanced for bartering and the Valor stays out in the ocean for Sea Monsters and doing the Marg CCoin runs and I have a separate character for each and just swap a few items of gear between them. It was way easier to build the second one that it was for the first one. If I were to do just one, then it would be the Advanced. It's way better at bartering than the Valor and there isn't as big a difference between them in Sea monster hunting as one would think.
I agree! It is so much easier to build ships after your first big one 😅 I still regret building the Advance as my first ship, wish I would've gone for the Balance since the Advance is just collecting dust now that I'm mostly on my Volante.
Awesome guide thank you very much where you been my last 2 years ago when I created my first boat definitively thi is the ultimate ship guide is really new players friendly ❤❤🎉
Overweight a bit doesn't really matter that much for most Illya Island based bartering.. but your breakdown of everything with gear is really great. Awesome vid!
I am having a hard time deciding what to do atm I currently have a advanced carrack and I am about 60-65% of the way to getting either a valor or a volante. My current plan is to get my 2nd carrack then start going for the blue ship gear the idea is to use the 2nd carrack since they are more combat oriented than the advanced carrack to grind for mats for the blue ship gear. The question is more or less which is the better choice volante or valor? I checked as well getting just the blue plating for a advanced is already enough for you to be able to barter with 10 sailors and doing a full T4 exchange which is good enough as far as the advanced goes. But if I plan on getting the full blue gear on either the volante or valor what would at the end of the day better the better choice? any feedback would be great.
Depends on what you really want to hard focus on. Blue gear on either will get you an amazing ship, no matter what. Full blue gear Volante will give you the fastest ship possible with VERY good damage, however you will never get the same amount of damage a Valor has. The thing with damage and reload time is, it's a fixed statt, meaning no sailor or pet will ever give you that extra bit of damage or cooldown to match a Volante to a Valor. But it's different with speed, if you'll be aiming for an Ebenruth's Nol eventually and roll full speed on sailors (not recommended), you can get pretty close to a Volantes speed. So endgame wise a fully kitted out Valor might be better, but the Volante is just so much prettier and will always be faster, but that's the only thing it has going for itself 😅
@@Jaeona I do not intent on buy more sailor slots this ultimately means I need sailors that need to fit on both ships. This means I kinda need speed based sailors for when I am bartering due to how slow the advanced carrack is. So I am a lot less flexible due to this. And even after all your great feedback I do not feel much closer to being able to decide sadly.
@@ZeelofTheMarty Which Carrack skin do you like the most visually? That's how I decided to go with Volante. You will have to look at your ship the entire time, might aswell make it pretty to look at 😉
@Jaeona I feel like people give too much credi to the volante compare to the Valor. I think *Valor is the "best alll rounder" no?* Because it has basically same weight capacity as volante but is only 8% max speed 3% acceleration slower than the volante (same tunr rate etc) but 2 milion more ration, and 2 sec less hit time and higher dmg too. This means arguably i could be nearly as fast as the volante but get way faster monster killing time due to reload as you can get a ship faster easily with sailors, gear, mastery, sailing log, etc which easily put your speed above 190 but you cannot increase fire rate except being guru for just -1s. Additionally with same weight means i am not doing less lvl 5 barter than a volante even in much further away places. Regarding the volante speed vs panokseon. If i can buy 30 total sailors for panokseon can i not do 20 for volante achieve even greater speed etc compare to panokseon catching up to me with p2w?
is there a way to get crows coins without doing bartering? these carrack now can be bought from the market place, which one do you recommend, i do mostly AFK fishing in the sea and i have 350bil silver ish, so im not too worry about the price of the carrack. just trying to figure out which one is the best for me currently. i do however want crows coins for panokseon unless they will be in the market soon.
Volante is the second best barter ship, and the best pvp ship(although not relevant yet as of now) and a good combat ship due to being the fastest ship. If you want the real all-rounder, min maxing, get the Volante. * Balanced making sad noises *
Really depends on what Carrack you're using and what you're aiming for. I was aiming for almost 200% speed and a decent turn rate on my Volante, so I got 4 realistic and 6 innocent sailors. But if you feel like you need more turn rate at the cost of speed, you can also just do 50/50.
One thing i don't think i heard was the price/time frame for upgrading all of these. Do they all cost the same to upgrade and it's just a matter of choice, or is there one of these ships you can get faster and/or cheaper than the others?
Any ship from sailboat are easier to get than the frigates. Usually most people start sailboat as it slightly easier if you can get help from a guild member; friends; or sailing community on discord. They made it easier recently but using a caravel takes forever for the sea monster dailies. As for building the ships, you can obviously grind for the materials, but buying a sailboat is a couple hundred million. The materials to get that to a caravel takes about a week to grind for. Going to carrack is completely grind dependent and if you go balanced or advanced, it should take you a minimum of a month of constant grinding. They made it easier so maybe 20 days if you know what you’re doing.
I'm a veteran sailor in bdo and have all 4 carracks, and love to min/max stats. I agree with everything said in this video. This is the best comparison video ive seen so far! I cant wait for more of your future videos.

Could you give me some recommendation for being my first ship? C: edit: just to keep in mind I want to barter and hunt sea monsters, but, I want to go hunting more than bartering.
Volante would be the way to go then, it's amazing for both if you want to go as fast as possible, but the Valor does a bit more damage at the cost of speed. They can both carry the same weight for bartering. So it's whatever you prefer and the look you like, there is no bad Carrack 😊
Advanced is actually best for margoria cc bartering. Cause at 24k weight you can have two sets of t5 and do double margoria cc run without having to return inland and restock.
it is good, except crow coins bartering. My Advance with 167% speed (with green gear) still need an hour for just coins bartering. Boat speed seem heavily affected by many factor, not just pure boat speed. The strong wave tide slow my boat speed very much on crow coins bartering at outer sea. Now I am about to build my second carrack, I am still struggling between Valor and Volante. Any suggestion?

Yes, it has 50% more life than any other carrack in addition to having a 150 cabin which allows it to have different builds and exceed the 100 cabin of the carrack, more range, more aim, more angle, more spin It all depends on the sailors... although the base stat of the panokseon is not that high, once fully armed, it becomes as fast as a Volante carrack 200% speed . and Hit as hard as one Valor.
