This piece was performed by Hadhirgaan, the Kirkwall Grammar School traditional music ensemble, yesterday evening as part of the school's annual KGS Carol Service. Under the inimitable direction of their teacher， leader and mentor Douglas Montgomery， it was a heartfelt and emotional tribute. As a rugby fan， i just about managed to keep it together amongst a packed cathedral audience. Well done Hadhirgaan， Douglas and KGS. Your excellent musical offerings are always a treat for the soul
