I miss a little bit Jean's boat on the map and the movement on the board itself. There was some planning / guessing element since you know that she will move 1 or 2 spaces and you could plan with that. But the new system seems good as well, and might give you more actions per round (risking 10 VP for Jaques for each one).
oh also, there's nothing stopping you from putting a ship for the automa on the board. just do that, move it forward 3 steps on the longer path every time it takes a turn (but do what the card says, not what the place it stops says), and then move it space 20 if the card says to do that... it would be totally legal to go this way :)
We're really looking forward to trying this one day as we have the base game! We are glad it addresses the colonialization issues as well, which was so needed. Honestly, it should have been in the base game. P.S.: Nice shirt! Thanks for repping, family!
escape is a tough hurdle to beat! i'm still thinking about whether it'll push my rating up. if the co-op had been a bit more interactive, OR if you could play through the storyline in co-op woudl have done it for sure :)
Very excited by this . I was very happy with the Great Western Trail revisions as well. It's so problamatic as a black gamer to try to play these gamers with family and explain the blatant racism in games. I remember playing Peurto rico for the first time with my grand mother (RIP) and she said "oh so we get to pick the field slaves and the house slaves".
I was born there in Maracaibo haha. Cool to see there's a game about naval fleets, pirates & historical stuff... Cheers!

Thumbnail told me everything I need to know. Instant buy.
I’ll have to try this of course, but I think I like the older automa better. Where there’s a player on the board.
yup, you can swap either of them in or out (or i use both for a solo vs 2 automa game).

@@rahdo It would be pointless though.
Darn. It's car insurance month for me. But I need to get this.. and Boon Lake with it:D
Is this coming to the app?
i would assume so, but i have no inside info
I’ll buy it in a heartbeat
Problematic elements being improved doesn't happen by accident. Thanks for pointing these sorts of things out and being part of the solution
This is fantastic!

The Uprising didn't help push your ranking of Maracaibo up above at least Escape: The Curse of the Temple? :-)

Very true and we have to keep pushing for change in representation in games. It matters a lot.
