It really is a shame the 'overlay' doesn't line up accuracy, and that the marker placed near the mast is so out of alignment. I wonder how this is to be resolved long-term. I might have to plunder my boards a little.
I didn't notice it at first, but now I've seen it, I can't unsee it. I'm considering a fix for my board with a sharp knife and some double-sided tape. Hope it gets me a blue peter badge.
3:40 The original action is to place a faction cube at a free village you are at, no? Why is it essential for the base game and cannot use the new player board? There is a similar option in the combat action you unlock. Sorry, I'm new to the game.
Looks interesting. It’s my current No10 game. That said, I don’t think the basegame hits the table enough to warrant buying this. I’m averaging 4 plays per year of Maracaibo.
How do you rate this expansion? I am not interested in the Co-op modules. I really liked the base game and played it a ton. Did also play couple of games using the campaign but it didn’t really add a lot for me fun wise. Even without the campaign,… to be fair, it is a 10/10 euro for me! If you don’t need new scenarios / campaign stuff… does this add something interesting / „must have stuff“ for solo and competitive?
Maracaibo is one of my favourite games, and personally, I love all the new different ways to play it. If you aren't interested in co-op, there is still the other stuff. And the new solo campaign.
It’s VERY unfortunate that the card backs have different colors from the original game (1st printing). It’s off and you can definitely tell. I’ll have to give this a pass. The only solution would be for me to buy the base game 2nd Ed which has the same colors. Frustrating.
Unfortunately this is in tolerance range and many expansions have this problem. Of course it was always the same back of the card, which was sent to the printer. There is only one draw stack so it's not easy to see the difference when you don't have the other card to compare or concentrate on this. A solution would be to sleeve the cards or always draw from the bottom of the stack (but this might feel odd).

Sorry, I'm new to the game.
The designer removed this action from the player boards as it was generally thought of as "weak" and not many people were using it.

On BGG he rates it a 9/10. That’s what brought me to this video, actually.
Such a weird expansion introducing this new storyline.
